Clear as day, it became obvious that this elf was just like them. Cloud hadn't been a sanguine elf for long, but they had been trying to grasp it as quickly as they could. That proved to be more difficult than they would have liked given the fact that they hadn't really run into anyone like them yet. Until now. They wondered how long this one had been like this. "Neither did I." The warder figured they would ask the question since it was the only thing in their head. "How long has it been for you?"
How long? The question was to be expected, given how Din'an gathered that what they were seemed rarer than he had anticipated. His mind slipped over the memories, searched for the moment that the archfiend had greeted him. Had offered him this gift that could never have been ignored. "Many years now, but is that what you really want to know?" His head canted to the side, gaze slipped over the other in a careful inspection, "Or do you want to know whether it gets easier? The hunger, that is."
"I have heard of you," Robin offers kindly, head tilting on the direction of the newcomer and away from the swamp slowly consuming one of it's sacrifices. A foolish demon that had bothered her as she explored the Otherworld, and one that would not bother her people again. "How curious, that we have seen an uptick on arrivals, now that we have settled on this realm. How fruitful too." The more new arrivals, the less attention Zahrya would put on her theoretical future children. Specially because she is pretty sure this one fit the description of 'breedable' that Zahrya so desired for his hoard of broodmothers. Maybe she should mention him at the tail end of the next chancellor's meeting, actually. "A pleasure, Din'an. Be welcomed to my court. As long as you abide by our laws, you will always have a seat on my table."
How intriguing, that she had already heard of him. Curious even more was the wonder of what precisely she had heard. This particular realm had once been of no concern to him, until it had become one of his only salvations. So to speak, of course. Din'an did nothing if it weren't for the gain of something more. Humans had always been noted as such... simple creatures. "How curious that you have all settled so close to such a... human civilization," he noted with a soft smile, any notion of the hunger well hidden. He could smell her blood, practically taste it within the air; and yet, he could make no move to actually do so. "As an outsider, I hope to not bring any such trouble to your court," words spoken in such a manner so that Din'an could effectively lie. For what could would his magic be if he could not cover his tracks properly. "Is there any such matters that I should be aware of? Any gossip, so to speak."
Not many people drew Lucifer's attention. If anything, he was the one drawing other people's attention first. As he very well should have been. He had been made to be the most beautiful, to speak on the behalf of many. When he spoke, others gravitated towards him. Even the gods had thought him worthy enough to listen to once upon a time. They had been the ones to gift him the name of Morningstar. Bright. Beautiful. Every other compliment he could think of probably fit in there, too. Actually, it wasn't a probably. He deserved every compliment that could ever be given. There was no explanation for why he deserved it. He simply did.
So it was of no shock to him that this elf had decided to listen when he spoke. He'd done more than listen of course. He'd walked over to Lucifer as if the Archfiend wasn't the most dangerous person in this room. Good. As the elf wandered closer, he rounded the high-top table that he had been leaned against. "It's not a matter of what I am. It's a matter of who." His finger dropped to the other's chest that had collected blood from, he supposed, an unsuspecting victim. How unfortunate he had not been there to revel in the sight. "You've made a mess of yourself." That same finger that had rested against the elf's chest dragged through the blood and made its way to a plush bottom lip. "Maybe I'll introduce myself if you give me your name first."
Beautiful, the singular word seemed to be all that Din'an could manage as his gaze fixed itself upon this new creature. A familiarity tickled at the back of his mind, as if the elf should have known precisely who the other was. An archfiend was not an uncommon sight to the elf, who had consumed the blood of one to become what he was. But there hinted at a difference between the one that had turned him, and the one now stood before him. Who beckoned him ever closer, as if drawing him into some sort of web. And Din'an happily obliged, until the pair stood a mere foot apart from each other.
Not what, but who; the teasing to this mystery only spurred the elf on further. A curiosity that already settled inside of him growing ever more profound. There was a quality to the creature, as if even if Din'an wanted to look away, he would find that he simply couldn't. As if this being demanded every bit of his attention. The corner of his mouth perked up, as that finger rested itself against his messy chest. There may have been a mess upon the elf, but no trace had been left behind of his latest victim. Fodder for the plants that now grew within one of the rooms. His gaze did not waver from the other, even as a bloody finger now moved to his lip. A moment of consideration lingered, before the elf slipped out his tongue to glide beneath that finger. The blood was delightful, but it certainly was no blood of an elf; his most favorite of meals. "Din'an," he finally spoke, once his tongue had slipped back from that which still rested against his lower lip.

The mortal realm reeked of what should be beneath him, of what should have been culled long ago in favor of those with more worth. Humans; they were such vile little creatures, and yet, served quite the purpose when Din'an could not feast upon better morsels. If he wished to find a place within the mortal realm, then he would need to abide by its rules. For now. Which had been precisely the notion when he approached the chancellor, pleasant enough smile upon his lips, "I thought it would be wise to come introduce myself. So that we may get to know each other." Or so that he could avoid suspicion should some of the elves recount any stories of a creature so like themselves, but that which responded as a vampire. "I am Din'an."

It had been fleeting at first, the familiarity that came with being what he was. A simple touch upon his senses, while he had been out exploring what the city and its realm had to offer him. Upon the secrets walked any number of unique creatures, from the demigods to the aspects who boasted stories of their own. But it was none of them that had intrigued him quite like the creature that now stood before him, who itched at his senses in a far too familiar way. "I had almost expected not to find another like me."

Lucifer was actually pretty bored now. This party was full of the usual debauchery that came with a bunch of supernatural creatures all in one room. There were several demons around as well so he could only assume they were the ones initiating every sordid deed. Asmodeus was probably somewhere bent over a table. Mammon was probably grabbing a few items from unsuspecting individuals. Sathanas maybe starting a fight somewhere or getting someone else to do so. Abaddon was probably feasting on something. It could've been a person or an item. Lucifer was never truly positive if he could guess it correctly. Then there was Beelzebub. Ba'al was maybe...well, actually he was never sure what that one was up to, but he trusted that it was something useful. The point was that Lucifer had merely been talking about himself to anyone that would listen while they gawked at his beauty. It was all so exhausting. He wanted a little something more entertaining now that he had gotten his ego boosted for the night. Sure, he would get back to it later, but he would take a break for now. A finger lifted and he pointed to several different people.
"Not you." He pointed to a demon. "Definitely not you." He pointed towards a vampire. "Eh, not good enough." That was to the boring elf that had absolutely nothing interesting about them. Then he looked again and his gaze fell to another elf that had blood on his chest that was clearly not his own. Oh, this one would do perfectly for the night. Lucifer didn't bother to move. He simply focused his attention on the elf. There wasn't much distance between them which made this work much better. Lust was a sin he didn't particularly need to amp up in regards to how others viewed him so he didn't need to bother, but he still pointed his finger in the elf's direction. "You are a lovely little creature, my little elf," he muttered under his breath as he eyed the blood again. Yes, this one would do perfectly.
There had been so very many stark differences from the realm that he had left, and this new one that he inhabited. Where once there had only been elves to feast upon, now he was offered a plate with so many delicacies. Each new species a new flavor upon his palate, a new feeling to experience as he let his fangs sink into their neck. Or their chest, or perhaps somewhere else that they begged him to bite into. How careless these creatures were, to offer themselves up to him as if he would not drain them of their blood. As if he would not bleed them out for his own amusement, just to watch them decompose as if they had never existed in the first place.
Blood was smeared from the corners of his mouth, along his neck until it had dried upon his chest. Perhaps he should have cleaned himself up, wiped away any evidence that displayed what he had done behind a closed door within the castle. Vampires lurked around every corner, filled the spaces within the crowd; he had watched the mortals throw themselves at the fanged creatures, begged to have themselves bitten into. Who was to argue that Din'an had not fed from that which had done the same? That had offered themselves over to him for a simple bite. He had always enjoyed a challenge, but who was he to deny a readily available meal?
It was yet again upon his mind, within his thoughts as the hunger persisted in the back of his throat. Always hungry, forever insatiable. His gaze lingered over the crowd, until an intriguing sight caught his attention. A creature, handsome as ever, had his gaze upon the elf. His finger pointed precisely in his direction. A brow peaked slowly, an amused expression caught upon his features. The hunger at the back of his throat seemed to grow steadily, though it seemed to beckon for something else, as well. Sweet words reached his ears, and the elf wasted little time as he slipped through the crowd, as he drew himself close. "And what might you be?"
