Proposal For a New Lesbian Flag
with the help of my friends, I made a new lesbian flag that has a meaning since the widespread lesbian flag we use has no meaning and was just posted as the lipstick/femme lesbian flag on a blog back in 2010. I know a lot of lesbians including myself who would rather have a flag with a meaning, so my friends & I are hoping this is gonna catch on eventually!
from top to bottom, the meanings of the colors are: loyalty/trust, freedom to love women, trans/nb lesbians, serenity, and pride/love for oneself.
after a lot of input from people on this post, I’ve realized some things that need fixing about the colors of this flag. with the help of my friends again, we’ve made modifications to the flag. the two top colors have changed to fit better together, and the flag as a whole is more saturated. thank you all for your criticisms on the flag because that helped a lot with fixing it! this is the finalized version:
since a couple of people were asking as well, it is okay to use this flag as icons/headers/etc and is okay to use without credit but I would appreciate it since the flag is fairly new. I also 100% don’t mind people who aren’t lesbians reblogging this, as long as you’re being respectful and are spreading this for your lesbian followers I appreciate it!
special thanks to @cerebrite & @maidofluck for helping me with the original flag, and @lesbistani & a friend who does not wanna be mentioned for helping with the finalized version!
this flag is also a lot more inclusive of butch lesbians because the old flag was based off of the lipstick lesbian flag, which was a flag for femmes, and made butch women feel isolated from its symbology
this flag is brand new! so it doesn’t carry that connotation. i am butch and i love this cool new flag, personally
Some Bi WLW Terms!!
Since there have been some worrying discussions about doe/tomcat/stag recently, I decided to coin my own terms. I have been working on these for months and they may not be perfect but i really enjoy them. The terms are butterfly, moth, and dragonfly.
Butterfly: Also called butterbi or bifly, a butterfly bi is a woman or anyone who has a connection to womanhood via their attraction to women that performs/presents femininity for themselves and other women. The flag I’ve made consists of a deep cool red top stripe, a thin peachy pink middle stripe, and a warm light purple bottom stripe. The red is for self love and passion, pink is for femininity, and purple is for loving women.
Moth: Also called mothbi (possibly for tagging reasons), a moth bi is a bi woman or anyone who has a connection to womanhood via their attraction to women that performs/presents androgyny for themselves and other women. The flag I’ve made consists of a baby blue top stripe, a light aqua/turquoise middle stripe, and a light purple bottom stripe. Blue is for clarity and happiness, aqua/turquoise is for androgyny, and purple is for loving women
Dragonfly: Also called a dragonbi, a dragonfly bi is a woman or anyone who has a connection to womanhood via their attraction to women that performs/presents masculinity for themselves and other women. The flag i’ve made consists of a green top stripe, a turquoise middle stripe, and a bluish purple bottom stripe. Green is harmony and peace, turquoise is for masculinity, and bluish purple is for loving women
Before June ends I’d like to share this waddle of Prideguins!

Nonbinary Woman (left) and Nonbinary Man (right) flags for those of us who have a complicated relationship with our gender. Anyway! these were made pretty quick so if yall have suggestions, go ahead.
T/W3/RFs, tr/ansme/ds, and tr/us/cum are NOT welcome to use these flags.

wahoo, i can post this now i think! this is my version of a nonbinary lesbian flag! i’m aware we have one already (actually, we have multiple, but i’m referring to the most popular one!), but i decided i wanted to use an alternative, and made my own! the colours have meanings!
line 1 (hot pink): femme nb lesbians line 2 (purple): fem-aligned nb lesbians (referring to people who are comfortable with alignment terminology, e.g demigirl etc.) line 3 (light purple): trans nb lesbians line 4 (white): love for women and nonbinary people line 5 (green): self love and acceptance of one’s self and identity line 6 (light blue): non-aligned nb lesbians (referring to people who don’t use or identify with alignment terminology) line 7 (blue): butch nb lesbians
this is my first time making a proper non-joke flag, so i hope yall like it! feel free to use it for whatever, i only ask that you link back to this post if you do so that more people can see this flag, and if possible tag me since i’d love to see what you make with it! non-nb lesbians can reblog and make icons with it but obviously don’t use it for personal use unless you’re a nb lesbian!
(terfs, transmeds/truscum, MAPs, “anti-antis”, etc. don’t interact. anyone attempting to start discourse on this post will be blocked.)

I love these! Would there be any way to incorporate the queer flag in the future? :)

Hello! Thank you for the polite request! I’ve made 2 versions: one with the queer flag and one with the chevrons!
Feel free to use!

Here’s my own take on a femme lesbian flag. I can’t think of a femme lesbian flag that we actually have, I think everyone just assumed that the pink flag was for femmes.
In order from top to bottom, the colors mean: love for butches love for other femmes tenderness and kindness the subversion of femininity trans femmes strength and temperance healing and patience
I would love if you guys reblogged this, you dont have to be a femme to do so.
She/Her Gay Flag ♥
This was requested alongside the he/him lesbian flag but I took an extra day because I wanted to get as many opinions as possible since I am not a gay man myself. The colors pink, blue, and purple were suggested to be used.
This flag is meant to be used by gay men who use she/her pronouns. If you take issue with gay men who use she/her pronouns this flag is not for you, just keep scrolling. Any discourse will be blocked.

The flag you’ve all been waiting for…
The Frog Lesbian Pride flag! 🐸
As as we all know all frogs are gay and a part of lesbian culture, so obviously this is something that was needed. I even included some icons. And here’s an alternative ‘frog face’ version of the flag:
( this is mostly a joke but it came out so pretty so feel free to use it if you want.. )
edit
I just wanted to add that this flag is fine to use as an alternative lesbian flag if you want! And it doesn’t have to just be used for frog characters! When used it duals as a lesbian pride flag AND a love for frogs flag ~.
Also since people keep mentioning her I did Tsuyu icons here ♥

Hey, it’s this flag again! So, when clearing out my blog, I accidentally deleted the source post for the non-binary lesbian flag. I want to have a source post for it, though(to appear in tags, link back to and etc), so I figured I’d just repost it. NOW it comes with the icon sizes in the post, though, so those 3 blocks are 300x300, 200x200 and 100x100 sizes of it to use for icons.
Original description: “Someone I follow reblogged this really pretty pink lemonade color palette and I liked it so much that I saved it to make a flag out of it! EDIT: This is now the non-binary lesbian flag, by popular demand! I was told it blends the colors of the lesbian flag and nb flag nicely, and I’m also a non-binary lesbian, so that’s cool! Feel free to use it! THIS FLAG INCLUDES ANY PRONOUN LESBIANS AND NON-ALIGNED NB LESBIANS“
