I am so determined to fall more in love with life. intentionally romanticising the walks I am on, the birds chirping, the blooming nature around me, the water in my cup of tea turning from a light peach tone to a dark pink, the poetry I write, the things I am learning, my handwriting, dozing off while sitting in front of my window, all of it and more. I have to take a closer look at the little things that make my heart beat faster.
soon: comfy sweaters, hot beverages in cups, leaves crunching under your feet, drops of rain against the window, reading your book in bed

im almost done with my final paper which is supposed to make me feel better but this is only the first of many stress inducing projects i have to do this year so it somehow makes me feel worse. it's not that I'm not motivated to work, because i am. i just feel really tired.
hint of green for the new layout 💅🏼
03.16.22 // i'm finally starting my paper and my desk setup is so cozy ☕️ i wish my space back at school was anything close to this lol. my aim is to work until around 4pm, see what i have completed, then hopefully i'll be able to rest for the day. at the very least, i'm glad i'm getting this started instead of procrastinating it to the last minute
peaceful productive morning 🌷
good morning!!!! i just journaled for a bit (feels so good!!!), jot down our school calendar for next sem, and now just enjoying my coffee before i log in to my interview with a national org. wish me luck!!!
for today i’ll just clean again, workout in the afternoon, watch a movie after, and finish my CDE course for my driver’s license renewal. it’s a busy, busy summer i need to chill

~* For High Schoolers *~
Searching for an Internship
In my experience, this step is the toughest, especially for a high schooler. Counselors and advisors at schools will always say there’s plenty of opportunities available, but it’s key to find something that matches your potential career field.
Some ways to find find internships may be:
- Networking (ask friends, family, or classmates) - School resources (counselors often have a job board on school websites with a list of companies looking for potential high school interns or employees)
If you don’t have the opportunity to network in person, there’s plenty of online resources as well! - Indeed - Idealist - LinkedIn - Chegg Internships

i've received a few questions about how i track habits, which honestly changes often, but i thought i'd share how i do it right now.

"Strangely, life gets harder when you try to make it easy.
Exercising might be hard, but never moving makes life harder. Uncomfortable conversations are hard, but avoiding every conflict is harder. Mastering your craft is hard, but having no skills is harder.
Easy has a cost."
~James Clear - author of Atomic Habits
It gets easier though. You become stronger, physically and mentally. You start to enjoy working out, you start being able to stand up for yourself and talk about your feelings and boundaries without feeling guilty, you find joy in being able to execute your craft without much trouble, finding a routine and comfort in it. It's worth it.
