It has to end sometime....and that time is now for XFN. 3 years ago today we were celebrating #TheXFiles Revival premiere with all of you, but nothing lasts forever. We’re saying goodbye as a website today. Read what that means and take a trip down memory lane with us.

California Wildfire Affects X-Files Filming Locations

Several locations you recognize from Seasons 6-9 have been damaged or destroyed by wildfire in Southern California. One of them was the Paramount Ranch, which was the location of William’s birth in “Existence.” Find out more, and how you can help those affected here.

Tickets on Sale for X-Fest 2

Tickets are on sale now for X-Fest 2 in Schaumburg, Illinois, the weekend of June 7th-9th, 2019. Take a look at what they’re offering here. X-Fest is an all X-Files celebration with more cast members than you’ll find at any other event. 2019′s event is held at the Hyatt Regency hotel which is about a 20 minute ride from Chicago O’Hare airport. Guests announced so far include Mark Snow, Nicholas Lea, Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, Brian Huskey, and Susan Blommaert (Mrs. Paddock from Die Hand Die Verletzt.) The organizers say they expect to have 17-20 guests and more announcements will be made soon.

If you missed X-Fest in March, check out our coverage about what to expect here. It was a lot of fun and a good chance to have conversations with the cast that you don’t normally get at bigger events.

MSR Fanzine

Hi friends! For those who may have missed it (the original post is here), I’ve started collecting ideas for a good old fashioned fanzine, based around msr content. Before the days of tumblr and in the wee early days of the internet, people made these lovely hard-copy fanzines full of fanfic, notes, drawings, comics, letters, and other ephemera. They still make them, in fact, though the speed of internet communication has made them seem less relevant.

Let’s slow down. Let’s publish something that we have to wait for, and that we can keep on a shelf to thumb through and smile at on a rainy day. If you’re interested, here’s a google doc where you can learn more and sign up.
