the way you talk to yourself in your head when you feel sad or angry really truly matters… please be kind to yourselves when you’re going through it. a couple of things i like to try and tell myself:

it’s okay to feel sad over things you thought you healed from.

it’s okay to backtrack.

it’s okay to have a lot of feelings, even if you don’t know how to sort through them when you do feel them.

it’s okay to not answer every phone call.

taking time to let your body rest when your mind doesn’t feel good is okay, too.

just remember, don’t stay there too long. tomorrow will be a better day.
