"He was actually very good, he didn't snap at him or anything." Pietro put the tank down on her desk. "But when we passed by your door, he wanted to see you." He reached into the tank and pulled out Mister Dibbles.

"Well at least one of you can behave around doctors," she teased, nudging Pietro's shoulder lightly. It wasn't so much that Jubilation was obsessed with this turtle, just that her parents had never let her have pets. She'd pitched a holy fit once because she wanted a guinea pig, and her father had made her do a research paper on the animals and then told her they were too much work and she needed to focus on her grades and gymnastics.

So yeah, she was fascinated by this dumb reptile. Wasn't like there were any other friendly animals around, unless you counted Mr. McCoy.

From a shelf next to her bed she retrieved a little bowl with a paper towel over it containing a few leaves of slightly-wilted spinach and a couple of slices of strawberry from her lunch salad.

"Yeah, I know." Pietro smirked listening to her. "I can't help it, most doctors want to test me.. use me for experiments, sorry but I'm not a lab rat." He watched as she moved around grabbing the stuff. "I know he appreciates it."

Jubilation had been raised in an 'open doors' house; she only closed the door when she actually wanted privacy or when she was asleep, otherwise it was an invitation to anyone to come talk, hang out, whatever. She was sitting on the floor, changing out the beads on her shoelaces (and certainly not avoiding the pile of homework on her desk) but looked up with a grin when Pietro appeared in the doorway.

"Back from the vet already??" She scrambled to her feet, careful not to scatter beads in the process, and came to all but press her face to the glass. "You better have been good for the doctor, or I won't give you the spinach I stole from the kitchen!"

"Oh Jubes.." Pietro smiled standing in her doorway, in his hands was a red eared slider in a glass aquarium. "Someone missed you."

"Good," Steve breathed quietly, his warm breath flooding her skin as he pressed kisses to her jaw. "You should get some sleep... " He hummed.

"You should too." She laughed softly, kissing at his shoulder and collarbone. "Don't want everyone to think I've kept you up all night." She felt her skin flush at the thought.

That coaxed a little chuckle from Steve's lips and he pressed a kiss to her jaw. "Was it too much?" If nothing else, he was certain it took her mind off her previous feelings. At least for a little while.

All it took was a roll of his hips before his breath caught in his throat, one hand coming up to tangle in her hair as he found a steady pace with her. Not caring that he'd have to dry the bathroom floor later with a lot of the water escaping around them with every thrust of his hips.

He spent the evening showing her exactly how much he loved her. All the ways he could think of to show her, until eventually they laid in bed, a mess of limbs and contentment as he held her close.

Wanda shivered, still coming down from everything that had happened. She didn't expect it to be like that. She felt the warmth of the early morning sun, peeking in through the almost closed curtains. "Wow.." She leaned up a little, lightly running her finger tips down his jawline.

He pulled her gently, his hands going to the curve of her ass before they moved to her thighs, moving her so she straddled his lap, kissing her deeply, his chest flush against hers. "Keep saying my name like that and we might not have much water left in here," he warned.

She could feel Steve gripping her thighs, pulling her up so she was straddling his lap. She swallowed hard at his words, her heart rate increasing. "You mean like this?" She did it again. "Steve.."

"It was. I wanted to be sure that you were alright. It wasn't just on you. We taught you the technical side of things, but Wanda, we never once found someone to work with you on your magic, and in hindsight that was on us, but I never even thought of it. It was still so new to me," He breathed. "We were just as much to blame."

She looked at him, cupping his face in her hands, kneeling between his legs in the tub, water splashing just a little. "That may be true.. but I should have been in better control of myself. I allowed my emotions to rule my life."

"Control is learned," He muttered, his arms around her before he pressed a kiss to her lips. Gently at first. He refused to keep letting her turn this over and over in her mind. If he couldn't talk her out of it, he knew he could at least be a damn good distraction.

Wanda melted into the kiss with Steve, allowing herself to drift away in it. The worries slipping from her easily as water rolled off her skin. "Steve.." she whispered against his lips.
