1/200 F10 ISO1600 ‘Giving Value’

The Shutter speed determines how long the lens stays open for, is just how long that barrier stays open to let light into the image. The Aperture is the opening in a lens through which light passes to enter the camera. The ISO is the international standard of measurement that determines how sensitive a photographic film emulsion or is your camera’s sensitivity to light. The ISO is how you can adjust the exposure on your camera.

125 F10 ISO 1600 ‘Best Photo’

Our first photo taken we didn’t have any problems since the assignment already gave us our values to follow, I’ll say it was kinda easy. In this picture (Given Values) I liked how the pictures looked because it looked dark and it made the object look very ominous. Now in the seconds picture its were we started to ha e difficulties, in Adjustment #1 we couldn’t understand how we could find exposer, we thought that finding the correct exposure was for it to have more light but our giving valued were 125/5.6/ISO 1600 but on the teachers computer our F was 4.5 so turns out apparently we moved the aperture. That’s why the pictures background looks blurry instead of looking correctly. When we opened up the aperture our value was 125 / 5.6 / 1600. We only reached a shallow depth of field. The third picture was the Adjustment #2 we closed the aperture to reach the correct exposure to reach the deep depth of field, our new values were 125 / f.10 / 1600. The background looks very pretty and focused and has no blurriness, I think this is how the picture should’ve looked like in the #1 Adjustment. And lastly on Adjustment #3 to reach the correct exposure without compromising grain we lowered our ISO because it was too high to reach the desired balance. Our final values were 20 / 9.0 / 400.

And for my last part , The reason why I chose that picture, is because i love how clean and decent my background looks and the main object (rainstick) looks very detailed. The colors in the picture especially the red look very vibrant and so does the white. Even though the picture is not well adjusted somehow it looks very good to me. Anyhow I enjoyed this activity even though it was a little confusing, I had fun.

Motion Essay

Shutter speed is the amount of time that the shutter is open. We need to know that when using shutter speed, the shorter the time the image detector is exposed to light and if the shutter speed is slower, the longer the time the image sensor is exposed to light. The longer the shutter is open the more a subject can move, creating blur in your picture. The quicker the shutter the less chance there is of a subject moving so there's more chance of capturing a sharp image where motion has been stopped.

Motion blur is the blur seen in moving objects in a photograph or a single frame of film or video. The motion I choose was ‘motion blur’, the reason why I did that is because it’s way more easy to take the picture and have the apparent streaking of moving objects in the photo. The picture taken demonstrates how with an aperture on F18, my shutter speed on 0”5 the fan blades look like it's stopped and it’s blurred out. I could improve the picture by lowering the shutter speed so the blades look like they stopped in the middle of the picture.

If I were to do this exercise I’ll do the motion blur that is called panning.Panning photography freezes objects in motion in a still frame. My classmates did panning with glowsticks and the picture looked really cool while using a flashlight that looked like it was written on the picture.
