Hi! I think this is in reference to the Kitty endpapers for the trade edition of Last King of Faerie? They are so pretty.

So, the choice to have Kit and Ty on the endpapers is because half the book is about them. I was so puzzled by the phrase "Dru and Kit book" that I thought we were discussing a different project and I couldn't figure out what it was! I think it's Last King of Faerie, but I would never think of it as a Dru and Kit book. For one thing, that sounds like they're dating, which I think we can all agree would be a bad idea!

For another, Ty and Ash are just as important character-wise. We spend less time in their heads (although we do see from both POVs) but that is not a marker of how important a character is but rather a marker of what secrets people are keeping.

"Will we have more amazing Kit and Ty scenes"

That's a very kind way to ask :) While I can't say what happens, Kit and Ty have countless scenes together. Other than maybe the first chapter or two of the book, before Ty arrives at Cirenworth, they are together in every scene that either one of them is in. Except sometimes one of them goes to the bathroom. I hope we will not judge them for being apart at those moments. :)

Kit and Ty are just as important as Dru and Ash and they get just as much page time, in fact, if you're counting pages they get maybe ten more. But I do think when you've come down to counting pages it may be more of an anxiety exercise than anything else!

I am sure there will be lots of Kitty artwork. I will certainly commission art, but most art is at the whim of the fanartists of our lovely fandom. I do not think they will let you down.

There are other editions with other endpapers that are not Kit and Ty — there's Dru and Ash, there's Livvy, there's the Seelie Court. But the main and most common edition you'll find is Kitty and we chose that because half the book is their story.

Invoking the True Spirit of Water: A Simple Blessing Over Water

Draw the banishing triangle of water over the bottle or glass, imagining it as fire. The Banishing Triangle is the upside down triangle, moving from the apex to the right point or counterclockwise from the Apex:

"I exorcise you, O' Water, by your maker. In the name of the True One, the Living One, the Strong One, the Eternal One, the All-Merciful, the All-Powerful, the Creator of the Watsrs of Life."

Then draw the invoking triangle which is the same, but moving clockwise, declaring:

"I invoke the True Spirit, the Waters of the River Jordan, the Waters of Life that Birth, that Rebirth, that Create, the Milk of the Father, the Holy Spirit and the Son. Let the Light wash into you and cleanse me. Amen."

How to create a Sigil

1. Write Your Intention Keep it clear + positive. Example: “I am confident.”

2. Reduce the Statement Cross out repeating letters → weave the remaining ones into a base for your design.

3. Create the Symbol Combine + stylize the letters until they become an abstract design. Trust your creativity—there’s no wrong way!

4. Charge the Sigil Infuse it with energy through:

Scrying: Mirror Scrying

Preparing the Mirror

A true scrying mirror is often blackened, either painted on the back with black paint, made of obsidian, or a darkened glass surface. However, any mirror can be used if dedicated properly.

To prepare your mirror:

Cleanse it with smoke, saltwater (if safe), or moonlight.

Consecrate it by stating your intention, “This mirror is a window between worlds, a sacred tool of vision.”

Keep it wrapped in cloth when not in use, reserving it only for spiritual work.

Low Energy Monday Witchery

🌙 Light a white or silver candle and breathe deeply, focusing on calm, clear emotions

🌙 Add some salt and/or moon water to your bath, foot soak, or while washing your hands with the intention of cleansing yourself of last week's leftover energy.

🌙 Make a cup of calming tea and whisper your intentions for peaceful sleep before bed

🌙 Open your curtains and allow natural moonlight in.

🌙 While using moisturizer, washing your face, using a moisturizing mask, etc, channel the energy of water. Visualize yourself being wrapped in a soft, calm protective embrace.
