What kind of person did Queen Hera make me to be today?
What kind of tests and challenges might Lady Athena have for me today?
What did my practice teach me about persevering through trouble?
What is in my control, and what should I let Goddesses and Gods decide?
What kind of moments can trigger a negative reaction in me? What kind of Deity can I ask for help?
Where can Lady Athena, Lady Hestia, Lady Artemis, Lord Ares, and Lord Hermes (or any personal Deity) help me today?
How can I pray/meditate better to help myself in the future?
Common courtesy among witches
Here are some key points we should all note when dealing with other witches.
Their path is not your path, don’t act like it is.
Don’t demand or feel entitled to others’ knowledge. Do your own research first before asking.
Don’t bash other witches paths. You don’t agree with what they follow? Don’t follow that path yourself.
We’ve all dealt with spells backfiring or not working, don’t sit there and make someone feel like crap because their spell didn’t work.
Don’t bash other witches because you disagree with their morals behind certain spellwork. They want to hex someone? Unless they’re hexing you, leave them to it.
Don’t bash witches who practice “dark” magic, there’s light and dark in everything. It’s all about balance.
Most of all, be helpful, courteous and friendly. We’re all going through this path together and we’re all brothers and sisters of the craft who need friends alike.

the magnolia 🌸
magnolia is an ancient genus of trees and shrubs dating back to the cretaceous period. these plants have existed for around 100 million years, before bees had evolved, and are suspected to have been pollinated by beetles instead. they can live for up to 120 years in most cases (sometimes even longer) and are significant in many parts of the world, from asia to the southern united states - for example, magnolia sieboldii is the national flower of north korea, and magnolia grandiflora the state flower of both mississippi and louisiana.
the bark and flowers of magnolia officinalis are said to contain anti-inflammatory properties as well as support for the integumentary (skin), digestive, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems. it is also said that magnolias have anti-cancer properties and may help treat diabetes, but further human studies are required to confirm these effects [source]. magnolias are widely considered to be non-toxic to humans and animals alike, with certain species being used for culinary or medicinal purposes.
magically speaking, magnolias are typically ruled by the planet venus and are associated with relationship matters including love, fidelity, and marriage, as well as beauty, self-love, calm, peace, harmony, and relaxation.
magnolias are also ruled by the planet saturn, considering their antiquity and the fact that the genus has managed to exist and thrive throughout the ages. in this sense, magnolias are associated with wisdom, resilience, endurance, perseverance, patience, and time.
there are a few hundred species of magnolia, and the flowers come in a variety of colors including pink, white, yellow, and purple, in which you can form secondary correspondences from:
pink - gentle, nurturing, calm, compassionate, caring, love of all kinds
purple - psychic awareness, intuition, spirituality, royalty, nobility, wisdom
white - negating negativity, clarity, cleansing, renewal
yellow - creativity, inspiration, happiness, mental stimulation, confidence

Reminder
I’ve always drawn out my sigils for each spell or ritual that I do, and lately I’ve been finding that kinda tedious because sometimes I’ll use five or six or more in the same working.
SO I made a bunch of little stones out of air dry clay and painted a sigil on each! I also made a taglock stone for myself that I can just whip out instead of carving my name/birthdate into a candle. The colors all correspond to the sigil meanings 🎨✨

I think many of us get so caught up in altars, divination, and research, that we can lose sight of what is in front of us. This happened to me for a long long time, before I finally said, “The Gods truly are everywhere.”
They are with us always. They live through us. And most importantly, they will always be there through all things we see and do. No altar for them? No worries, simply connect. The world is our altar.
☆☆
Hestia, the heart of the home, providing you warmth.
Father Zeus, laughing heartily as booming thunder and storms rage.
Mother Hera, watching and guiding when you are in relationship troubles.
Aphrodite, smiling when you feel extra beautiful/handsome.
Ares, proudly beaming when you stand up for yourself and others.
Apollo, advising you to take extra care when you’re sick, or listening to every tune.
Dionysus, urging you to find pleasure in all things.
Artemis, stern and protecting of the wild, watching over the animals as you go throughout your day.
Hephaestus, there when you finally finish that project you’ve been putting off.
Poseidon, earth shaker, who makes you feel that extra glee when you go out swimming.
Hermes, chuckling as you go to the store and travel.
Demeter, calming and reminding you to be grateful always.
☆☆
And even more so if you honor a titan?
☆☆
Selene smiles upon you at night.
Helios will greet you in the morning.
Nyx and Asteria, bringing the darkness, but not frightening.
Gaia, the Mother Earth, the stability beneath your feet.
Uranus? He gives you those cloudy days.
☆☆
The gods are in EVERYTHING. You don’t need an altar to honor all the gods. You just need to find them.
For the stealthy witch: a Minecraft world is a wonderful place to build an altar (or a full temple!) for our spirits.
i don’t post much about specific examples of praying and giving an offering and getting exactly what i need in return but recently i was making my mom a crochet blanket that i thought i definitely had enough time to finish before i did the 3hr drive to my parents house since i had 5 days before i needed to leave, but the day before i was barely halfway done.
i ended up praying (let’s be real, it was more of a begging situation) to Athena to help me focus and get into a flow state of a fiber craft project since she’s the goddess of craftsmanship and especially fiber crafts like crochet, as seen in the story of Arachne and the weaving competition. i brought out an unused pillar candle i had been saving for the right moment and lit it in her honor, and then combined a few different oils in my oil diffuser as an offering. i also turned on some history documentaries about the political side of war to watch while i worked for good measure.
y’all… i crocheted for 6 hours straight. i got through an entire cake of yarn that was about 500 meters. i ended up finishing around 1am — roughly 9 hours before i had to take off for my drive. at the risk of sounding like i’m trying to be trendy, she really came in clutch for me
praise Athena! 🩶🦉
New prayer beads (and a matching bracelet) that I made for Lord Dionysos today.
Guidance by your Deity:
Prepare your practice space. Find a quiet spot, open the windows, and find a comfortable seat.
Prepare yourself. Wash your hands. If you veil, prepare your hair.
Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself.
Write what you're grateful for.
Say a prayer to your Deity.
Invite them to sit with you or be present with you. By invocation, hymn verse, or a simple ask.
Recite what you're grateful for.
Talk about your struggles. Be completely honest.
Write down your intention and questions about those worries.
Ask for their guidance. What steps should you take? How should you proceed?
Take a few deep breaths and connect to your deity. Think of their teaching to you. Think of the ways they helped you before. Think of the signs they gave you before.
Write answers to your questions in a different colour, as if they are speaking. Let them influence your hand.
