Awkward.
Xiaohui has gotten extremely used to laying low and blending in with the crowd. To be unassuming and uninteresting. To be seen meant she was at risk of being found out, and being found out meant that her peace would be shattered. All of which she wasn't really willing to entertain. Having spent six years hiding in plain sight has worked for her---and she was content to ignore the chaos and war that was building up around her between the Rebellion and the Government.
What she didn't anticipate is being caught in an explosion--an entire strip mall now a pile of rubble. She doesn't remember much of what happened--only that she was heading her way into the supermarket to pick up some melons she'd been craving, and the next second she was waking up with half the building crumbled around her.
Groaning softly, she slowly sat up, categorizing the areas of her body most hurt--bruised ribs, a strained ankle, and a broken finger by her quick assessment. It was a miracle she wasn't more injured.
"Okay..you can do this. On three." She whispered, griping the ground next to her she slowly, and carefully pulled herself out, groaning as the movement caused her pain to flare up, "Oh fuck..." She cried out in pain, before looking around, trying to find a way out of the rubble, not seeing any way out.
"Is anyone there?" She called out weakly, coughing as she inhaled some dust, "Anyone?" @msqarabxlla
