Once upon a time, in a beautiful castle lived a prince destined to become king. He trained as a page, then a squire, with potential to pursue knighthood should he choose to. He grew into a young man with the knowledge that his fate was to rule his kingdom as tradition holds, passing on the royal legacy. In another home, lived a fair and radiant maiden, who shown like the sun. She lived as a peasant and created art as a means of pursuing craftsmanship and creativity. She chooses to create and uses her skills as a merchant would their oddities. She dreamed of the castle commissioning her work and being lavished with the finest luxuries one could only dream of. There once was a young miner, who worked in the mines for hours on end with other miners who were tired of mining. This miner could pursue knowledge and had great potential to become a scholar, if they had the coin. Mining paid enough to live at home, and stay at home. The ones who made money were the performers, the talent who put themselves out there, those who could entertain in whichever way they were most skilled. As time went by, the young prince had met the fair maiden. He was but a page, seeing her outside the castle grounds in the town below. One of the soon to be noblewomen, whom the young prince was related to, had brought him into town, commissioning the young maiden for a guide. The young maiden and the prince were enamored with each other, bonding immediately and refusing to leave each other's side. After her time was up, she continued to stay near him. She stayed around him, brought him presents, crafted creations in his honor, taken care of him. He knew that she was as beautiful inside as she was out. The prince knew they couldn't be together. Too many people wanted them apart, he would grow to be king, he was unsure of the chances. The fair maiden knew that if she wanted something, she would need to take it. So as she was sent off to go to school by her parents, she asked the prince if he would marry her when she came back. He said yes. The maiden was shipped off to a school in a far away land. He began his training as a squire. Among the men training was a young lad, who had worked previously in the coal mines. This young lad had known the young miner, who would pursue entertainment as best as they could. Hearing of this miner pursuing entertainment had reminded him of the young maiden he had once known. As luck would have it, his castle had needed a new jester. He had seen the jester perform their display of talents and deemed them acceptable to present as his personal jester to the court. The court granted permission. As time went on, the jester began to study an array of skills and trades, careful to dabble in but never to consume fully. The prince had grown into a young man, and he had to choose a suitor to marry as to have a queen by his side and produce an heir. As if on cue, the young maiden appeared, now grown into a young woman with the knowledge of a scholar who had come to ask the young prince to keep his end of his promise. The two would marry and become king and queen, eventually an heir had been produced and brought into the world. The jester stayed on in the castle now as the court jester, wandering the castle looking to entertain. When the young woman had introduced herself, she had been welcomed with open arms and embraced into the castle life. The staff loved her, the royal court had adored her, even the jester had grown fond of her as well. Becoming queen was a momentous occasion to the jester, for they had been summoned by the queen to keep her company during dark times. A momentous occasion for the court, but what became of the king's personal court jester? They stayed by their side, loyal to their king and queen.
