IM NOT DEAD! IM JUST ON VACATIONS! I've been working on this for a long time, i got a great inspiration from this one frame of my adventures with superman that became really popular and i wanted to do it with rashta!
With all the ships i did for her(and will still do!) I realized that i could draw the scenario of rashta getting alm the love she deserves and didn't get from the story(and the fans...), this is very self indulgent but i am cringe, free and happy.
Even if the remarried empress is one of the worst stories i had the displeasure of knowing, is also the story that has one of my favorite characters of all times, rashta may not be everyone favorite but she is special to me, because the author accidentally made one of the most complex female characters of the manhwa community that became a symbol of quality in a story(because after all, after rashta's death the webtoon got a lower audience, most of the people keept reading BEACUSE of rashta!).
Rashta is not the perfect victim, she made questionable choices(most of them influenced by ergi btw) that make her lose her innitial innocence, but even after that, i love her more, because she is so well written that she dosen't appear like a villainess;she feels like a person, and in this story, having characters that feel HUMAN is very hard.
As long as i stand, rashta will always have a defender with me, because she wasn't born broken;she was born in a broken world that later made sure to break her.
Putting the sappiness aside in want to share a fun fact:the gifts are references to ships i made of rashta! Here's a version with names!
(Español)
¡No estoy muerta!
You know. I was thinking about your handmaid!Yuu and it made me think about book 7 and what their dream would have actually looked like instead of what we actually got.
I fel a sadness when I realized that handmaid!Yuu's dream would be them in Twisted Wonderland, except their children would be there. A world where Yuu got to be the mother to them, a world where the children can grow and be free and happy. The deep sadness when she has to be pulled away.
Have you ever seen the episode of Justice League "For the man who has everything"?
It's a story where Superman is placed into a dream world where his home planet survived, his family was alive, and he had a happy life with a son. The scene of him saying goodbye to his son as the world falls apart. I feel like they would be Handmaid!Yuu. A mother saying goodbye to the children she never got to raise, to give the children she came to know and care for a chance at a future...
You can find the scene on YouTube since I can't link in asks.
Time for some Handmaid! Yuu Angst! Bc 1- why the fuck not and 2-GUESS WHO GOT THE GRAPHIC NOVEL OF THR HANDMAID'S TALE
I think that unlike the game's canon, Handmaid!Yuu would not be immune/more resistant to the darkness at the beginning of book 7, either because she decides to sacrifice herself so that Silver and Grim can escape the darkness, or she is not saved in time by Silver/Grim due to a strange sensation that leaves her paralyzed, afraid? curiosity? fascination? The point is that only when they have already gone through several dreams, the Squad could finally find Yuu, but not before having a good sentimental moment with Grim feeling that he failed her for not being able to protect/save her from the darkness.
I think the boys would just come to Yuu's dream after the Heatslabyul members' dreams, with them being the closest to Handmaid!Yuu after all. When they get to the dream, they don't even realize at first glance what's different from everyday life in Twisted Wonderland, because even their versions of Yuu's dream are quite faithful to their real versions, so who could want something practically the same as real life? And the answer is given when they see a Handmaid!Yuu with a shiny bird on her head, chasing two children no older than 6 years old, laughing and playing in the school yard.
And the realization hits them like a bag of bricks.
Yuu would never dream of returning to her world, for what? If the only thing she had there was trauma and misery, the only thing she regretted, that she really wanted to change from her past, was being able to have her children with her, that they had not been torn from her arms, having been able to hug them and take care of them, hell, she didn't get to know if they ended up becoming good people under Gilead's upbringings. That ate her up inside.
but in the dream? She looked so carefree, so relaxed, so…happy, in a way none of the boys had seen her before. It's not like they had never seen her laugh or smile, but this was something different, a type of happiness that they had not seen in her before: a secure, complete happiness, without a trace of guilt or remorse, she no longer seemed to be carrying more years than she really had, she seemed simply… a mother with her children.
I think it could spark a debate among the guys if they REALLY have to wake up Yuu to beat Malleus or not. I mean, they know this isn't real, but the idea of breaking the bubble of happiness that Yuu is having, knowing that this would be the closest she would get to seeing her children again? It gives them a bad taste in their mouth (This group would include Ace, Deuce, to some extent Riddle and Sebek).
On the other hand, other of the boys believe that the dream itself is very cruel, because Malleus is basically putting something in Yuu's face that she will not be able to obtain, her greatest regret, her greatest PAIN, and they believe that it is much more humane to wake her up so that she does not hurt herself even more when this whole dream fiasco is over (here would be Silver, Trey, surprisingly Cater and Grim).
The idea of Yuu's dream is already sad. IMAGINE WHEN THEY TRY TO WAKE HER UP! The darkness would take the form of her children, just trying to convince her not to listen to what the boys have to say, telling her that they need her more now, that if she loves them, why does she abandon them AGAIN?
I feel like there could be two variants of this: the first, that Yuu doesn't make it out of the darkness and they have to follow the book without her. Although, to Malleus' surprise, she is already aware that she is in a dream, she just doesn't actively try to get out of it. The reason? She is always the one who has to sacrifice herself for others, the one who has to put her desires aside to save the world, at least this time, let her see the faces of her children a little longer… she knows that Malleus will lose and that this illusion will fall to pieces at any moment, at least let her enjoy it while it lasts…
The other variant, closer to canon, is for Yuu to free herself from the dream. Whether the alternate versions of her children decide to help them or she decides to hold on to the REAL memories of her children, no matter how ephemeral they may be, and above all with a lot of suppressed anger at ALL the trauma this brought back to her, do you think Malleus has a hard time with the others after book 7? Just wait until Handamid! Yuu gave him the beating of his life, it's what he deserves for manipulating her children's image like this, even if it was with good intentions :)
Thinking about what you said about the scene of Superman and his son…but Handmaid Yuu and her children, as the dream becomes darker and darker, Yuu can only touch her “children's” faces one last time before being pulled out of the dream by Silver, her last thought being bittersweet…At least now she knows what it feels like to be a mother.
More Villainess!Yui bullshit thats been sititng in my brain:
Been thinking of how the students of NRC are sadistic in a very different flavor than any of the Diabolik Lovers vampires. They do not care for needless violence or cruelty, they just wanna WIN and to do it in the way embaresses the other side as much as possible because its about pride. Winning and crushing the opponent is the same thing to them because it shows off that they're supperior in terms of skill, talent, and might. Yui very much falls under this which is why the sadism and torture the vamps engage in don't do anything for her as just raw violence doesn't require skill and anyone can do it so long as they got the right set up. Its an easy skill with easy results unlike other physical actions like martial arts or sports. So the fact that their superiroty seems to rely solely on their ability to commit violence is just pathetic to Yui because it means they don't have the confidence or the guts to go against her on even footing. Its also especially insulting cause she's held her own and been awknowledged by people much more powerful and much more talented and now you're telling her that these pathetic vamps are supposedly superior while using coward tactics. Absolutely not!
The only exception is Laito cause he's the first one to clock her, her first actual victim, and the first one to actually aknowledge her not just as a threat but eventually as worthy rival.
Now I struggle writing smart plots cause I'm not the level of genius the characters are but mark my words, there will be an arc at school where its Yui VS Reiji (cause he's the most pretentious) and it ends with an embaressing loss in PUBLIC. Reiji is in his head being in denial and trying to justify it as a fluke when Yui, kind sweet Yui, just walks up with a such a serene kind smile and offers him a hankerchief as she says so sweetly "For your tears"
Reiji is absolutely seething as Yui has metaphorically not only crushed him like a bug but did a live vivisection exposing his every flaw & weakness in front of an audience before dumping a barrel full of salt in his gaping wounds with a single hankerchief and a smile. but Worse still he can't do SHIT cause they in public with a whole class watching and Yuuma is also right there ready to get involved if shit goes sideways. Then he hears laughter and turns
Cut to Shuu who for the first time in DECADES can't help but crack not just a smile but a full blown grin and start genuinely laughing at loud at how Yui has completely destroyed Reiji, his pride, and put him in his place forcing him to realize just how insignificant he is. Laito is less shocked and more delightfully surprised cause he already knew that Yui could do this type of shit just not the full extent of it. Ayato and Kanato meanwhile are genuinely confused and kind of terrified at how Reiji of all people their most intelligent capable vampiric brother (tho they die before admitting it) lost not just to a human of a things but to a GIRL and their former sacrificial bride and they don't even understand how because they don't understand the type of benign but far reaching social manipulation Yui specializes in. Subaru also can't see how but he was already kinda weary and terrified of Yui, besides he'll just ask Kou later about the specifics.
Now this would happen between the "pet" and "dumpster sister" relationship flags with the Mukamis, so when Yui offered to compete against Reiji in Ruki's place it the response was basically "we know she's got some talent for this type of influence so either she crashes and burns and we get to laugh at her or she wins and it'll be something to celebrate". They did not expect just how thoroughly Reiji would be crushed and especially not so publically and they know her well enough that they can see the look of pure satisfaction and smugness in Yui's eyes. They can tell that THIS her revenge against these vampires, its not a crusade to kill or torture just make them realzie that SHE is the biggets threat in the room and unless they become wortho of her they stand no chance. Also its really funny to laugh at Reiji's and the rest of the Sakamakis expressions of shock & horror. Yuuma wisely refuses to leave Yui alone at school for a good few months afterwards
I can't stress just how important Azusa's friendship is to Malleus cause for the first time ever he has a companion he can be 1000% sure will not only live as long he does but also likely outlive him. They primarily bond through their shared interest in art, Malleus with architecture, sculpting, and the violin and Azusa with his body art. While he is slightly put off by the masochism, Malleus genuinely appreciates how Azusa uses his own body as a canvas for georgeus body sticthes that serve a purpose not only aesthetically but also as a conduit for magic something he himself has never thought of. Azusa on the other hand appreciates how Malleus sees the value of caring for old and used things from buildings to the blades Azusa keeps in his collection. Malleus always takes the time to appreciate the flaws and signs of wear and tear in Azusa's blades, using it to personify them and guess personality traits and stories for Azusa to better bond with them.
Reiji is very much a tsundere regarding his attraction to Ruki. Their interactions became much more common after Yui's shenanigans as Ruki was often the one diverting him before he could try to kill her. Pre-Yui, their relationship was defined as mutual bedrudging respect mixed with contempt. They saw each other as "my kind of people" despite the classism and prejudice that dictated how they viewed each other. When Yui got into the picture, Ruki began to noticably change. He stopped framing his thoughts as absolute truths (cause Yui wouldn't even say anything just slide over evidence of just how wrong he is), he became more tolerant of chaos, he began awknowledging other kinds of strengths and talents among other demonic races and even humans (yuck), and he just became more open. He's still a cocky asshole, but with the humility and open mindedness to consider and welcome new things & accept he can't control everything especially if he wants to maintain a postive relationship with his family. This greatly puzzled Reiji and contributed to the friction between them. Also didn't help that Yui and Kou clocked Reiji, snitched to Ruki, and gave the smug bastard all the ammo he needs to keep knocking Reiji down a peg or four. Ironically, its these changes that also make Ruki more attractive to Reiji because its someone who is fully confident, fully aware, and funnily enough much more charming even when he's being an ass.
Then there's the matter of Ruki using guns. Culturally and literally, guns are THE equalizer weapon because it doens't matter your skills or physically or whatever if you get shot you got down in one way or another. They're also a very human tool, one that Ruki has gotten adjusted to deliver much more powerful shots as vampire strength = handle greater rebounds. But they also just complete his overall look in my opinion as he looks like a classic princely kinda nerd only for you to peak into his jacket and realize "oh shit he's got the strap on him". Reiji is a secret masochist so the thought of this half-blood vampire using human weapons to not only get on his level but surpass him and leave Reiji at Ruki's mercy is doing shit for him that Laito will hold over his head for eternity if it ever gets out
Yui's preferred method for handling the Church is usually molotov cocktails. Basically, track em down, make sure none of the innocent teen girls are in the house, lure all the church officials in there, and burn them alive. Of course she's not above just stabbing a bitch who happened to not be there, but her prefered method for survivors is just to frame them for horrible crimes and watch the flawed "99% conviction rate" japanes justice system do what it does best
The only time she ever spared someone, it was a nun and it was because she was the only one who sincerely admitted that, regardless of how necessary it was percieved to be, the sacrificial bride system was fundamentally evil and Yui as well as all the girls were nothing but innocent victims who were only in that situation because of the Church's failures in dealing with Karlheinz.
Yui's relationship with Cordelia in this AU is rather different from canon because Yui fully sees Cordelia's true self here. Yes, she very much empathizes and understands why Cordelia spiralled but she also sees that Cordelia is regardless a morally depraved parasite with no ounce of self respect whatsoever. As such, Yui treats Cordelia more like a nuisence and just tells her to shut up whenever she tried to pull any manipulative possession shit. Her only response to Cordelia's heart being removed was "good riddence" before Yui imediatly moved on with bigger priorities
LETS GOO DEVIL MAY CRY BABY! I NEED to see you writing netflix dante with single mother reader! Because there's no works of dante with that type of reader here even if i KNOW it would be peak😫
Maybe reader is slightly older than dante(because he is 19 in the series) and probably they meet in the restaurant were dante get his sundaes(im cliché but i have free will).
Love ya!
YEEEEEEEES
Dante Sparda x Single Mother! Reader
I like to think that if Dante were to fall for someone with a more "normal" life (i.e., a civilian), it would have to be someone he sees relatively often, like at the diner where he buys strawberry ice cream. This (reader) probably goes there constantly, sometimes alone, mostly with her son, precisely because the little one loves the ice cream they serve there, and it's not expensive since it's in a pretty rough part of town (it's not like they can afford an apartment in a better area, so-).
Ironically, I think the first interaction between these two was thanks to the (reader)'s son. Whether it was because there was no more strawberry ice cream and both Dante and the boy pouted, or Dante found him alone when the (reader) went to the bathroom, or the boy was curious about this strange man with a sword and just stared at him in amazement. Poor (reader), she takes her eyes off her child for a second and now he's chatting up a stranger—IS HE SHOWING HIM A SWORD?!
Considering how goofy and carefree this version of Dante is, he's capable of showing his sword to the kid just to show off. That said, he was quite surprised when the kid ran towards (reader) when She called his name, yelling "Mommy!" He probably always thought they were little brother and older sister until that moment, lol. Dante, being Dante, would take the opportunity to clear things up and, I don't know, talk to the cute girl ;)
Let's just say it takes quite a bit of perseverance on Dante's part to get (reader) to agree to a date with him. Don't get me wrong, (reader) likes him; she knows he's cute and sweet, but 1- she has a son, 2- she's a single mother, and 3- most importantly, the last time she was in a relationship, it ended VERY BADLY. So yes, (reader) is somewhat skeptical about someone being so open to the fact that he's not only dating her, but also her son.
However, against all odds, Dante doesn't give a damn, in a good way. In any case, he tries to be a better role model around the child; he's good at entertaining him and making him laugh (and (reader) too). Maybe it's because he's a bit immature himself, but he's surprisingly good with the boy. Especially if the child is just as hyperactive as he is, Dante finds ways to tire him out without much effort (whether by challenging him to beat his high score in DDR, letting him draw on the walls of his apartment (which are already a mess anyway), or giving him a slingshot to play with to his heart's content, the kid has a blast).
That said, Dante can't do much for things like homework. (Reader's) child will have the unique experience of, instead of crying while doing math homework with his father, crying ALONGSIDE Dante because he has no idea what the square root of 25 is. At least he can pick the child up from school when (Reader's) has transportation problems; they even get the child a helmet. Whether Dante drives safely with the child in the motosycle or not is another matter entirely.
And of course, (Reader's) also has a good time. After being completely dedicated to a child for almost (x) years, it's nice to finally be able to go out and do normal things. Well, semi-normal things. He's still Dante, he attracts trouble like he's pulling a Saori branch. He and (reader) could be on a nice date, eating sundaes, when some demon decides to cause trouble. Dante swears it's the universe mocking him. Seriously? Just when he's having a date with the cute single mom, A DEMON APPEARS? What the ACTUAL hell.
I like the idea that Dante naturally likes older people, lol. I think he'd be attracted to (reader) not only because of her obvious maternal qualities and how gentle she is with her son, but also because she's not afraid to put him in his place or boss him around as she pleases (the duality of mothers, lol). This man likes to be treated BADLY before being treated well, and he's perfectly fine with that.
Genuinely, Dante couldn't care less that (reader) has a child. If anything, he'd only care if the child's father/(reader's) ex is a problem for her—and I mean a BIG problem, past or present, whether it's physical, verbal, financial abuse, etc. In that case, Dante is more than happy to pay her a visit to "talk things out" like adults :) Suddenly, (reader's) ex will stop bothering her and her child for a loooong time (nobody died, he'll just give him the fright of his life and the next).
Generally, Dante loves women, especially HIS woman, no matter what kind or if they come with extra baggage ;)
Quick update for Ruki's power up in the Villainess!Yui au: I've decided it would be funnier if he was the only Mukami with zero magic talent or potential so he just takes a page from Rollo's book and choses glock
Imagine the shock and indignation on Carla's face when Ruki just shoots him while he's mod evil monologue and the bullets actually do damage
I just delete some old asks from when i re-watched Avatar The Last Airbender and i never get to finish bc of lack of inspiration...i feel like a monster🥲
Thinking about the experience that is living by Ramshackle rules in my Villainess!Yui au cause even before Yui finished getting promoted to "sister we found in the trashcan" she was already kinda applying that Ramshackle solidarity with Azusa.
Ramshackle has the atitude of "if you can't stop them, make sure they're doing it reasonably and safely" and this applies to how Yui handles Azusa's masochism. Unlike the rest of the Mukamis who are sad and try to stop him whenever they can, Yui just makes sure Azusa can hurt himself without leaving permanent damage. Ironically this includes teaching him how to clean and close his own wounds and making him realize how much more it hurts rather than just leaving it open (ex: the sting of the alcohol, the pain of each stitch, etc). Yui also points out to Azusa that leaving wouns opened and unclean could lead to necrosis and infection which is much more inconvenient and just uncomfortable rather than outright painful. I've mentioned in previoust asks but the big thing Yui teaches him about pain being beautiful is its cosmetic applications ie piercings and tattoos. Azusa actually ends up appreciating pain even more now cause the result is something beautiful that can stay with him rather than merely pleasureable. But the BIG thing that really does get Azusa away from the more extreme masochistic practices is body stiching, something that is very painful but when done right leaves little actual damage. It started off as Yui teaching him embroidery so he could fix his own clothes while making them even more beautiful and she made sure to locate a professional to teach Azusa properly.
Now the other Mukamis were mixed. Kou and Yuuma accepted it pretty quickly since it was a good compromise for Azusa's masochism without him getting too seriously hurt. Besides the patterns Azusa stitches on himself are genuinely detailed and very impressive. Its actually Ruki who has the biggest issue and thats only because of how body modifications are both frowned on culturally and also against school policy. Besides his precious baby brother is turning himself into a delinquent with all those piercings and tattoos. THank god for coverup makeup and fillers or else Ruki really would have Yui's head back then.
Then comes the Ramshackle policy of zero tolerance against threats and current protocol being to make sure that threat is permanently neutralized be it by crippling it, binding it to them, or killing (this one is a last resort). Once Yui actually gets attatched she kinda does this automatically and her personal favorite tactic is public humiliation, social ruin, and blackmail. Basically taking advantage of her extensive social networks and social butterflying to dig up their deepest darkest secrets & insecurities to keep them in line. Its how she got Azusa's bullies to permanently back off and scare off Kou's stalker fans. After being granted access to Demon World plants, Yui synthesizes an anti-vampire poison that she tests on Ayato after she catches him about to commit a violence against Ruki. It basically triggers a reaction akin to an allergy and that small dose leaves Ayato stuck in the infermery for the rest of the day.
Then there's the baseball bat. Basically during their time teaming up to kill Karlheinz, Yui and Shuu broke into a church hq for intel on the trafficking operations. There Yui found some holy nails that were very effective against demons and later hammered them into a wooden bat to use as a weapon. This is the bat she used to later bash Kanato, Shin, and Kino's skulls in.
All in all the Mukamis agree that Yui is absolutely fucking terrifying and weak human or not she could absolutely BODY THEM if she put her mind to it. They're very glad she's on their side and that her feelings towards them are protective rather than hostile. The same cannot be said for beatings and poisonings Yui drops on the Sakamakis (except Shuu since he wisely backed off as soon as he saw she meant business). Honestly its seeing Yui poison Ayato so casually and then turn around to bash Kanato that got Subaru to shape up and decide "anger issues be damned I am not risking it with her ever again"
Post establishing dimension travel, it becomes quite clear to the Mukamis that this is standard behavior for all members of Ramshackle. They're all absolute weirdo menaces who are free to do whatever they want so long as they have standards and don't go overboard which the rest giving a mix of support, concern, and advice. Also the protectiveness cause just by being Yui's new family that Ruki, Kou, Yuma, and Azusa are all at least honorary Ramshackle members and again Ramshackle does not play when it comes to threats.
Even without raw power or magic, all of them are absolute monsters in their own right. Even if Ayato as vampire king technically trumps him in raw power, Swing is still a powerhouse in magic & physically in his own right while having centuries more experience than any of the vampries. Rollo doesn't really do magic cause of the trauma, but his magic botany skills are no joke (he's the one who both created the blood fruit tree so the Mukamis don't need to hunt or recieve sacrifices and perfected Yui's plant based poison) and since joining Ramshackle has built a literal arsenal to protect himself including pepper spray, tasers powerful enough to knock out demons & fae, batons made of enchanted metals, tranq guns, and even glocks. Fellow isn't much of a fighter cause of his bad knee, but since recieving an education he's gotten quite good at writing based magic and evading his magical traps is pretty much impossible. Then there's Gidel with his incredible strength despite being a child and a hammer that won't kill but will still put you in a hospital. Then we got both the Ramshackle ghosts AND Skully with that domain bending shit cause Ramshackle is THEIR haunting grounds that they can manipulate as they please, with Skully being THE most powerful ghost with his halloween magic and his ability to turn people into pumpkins at the snap of his fingers. And last but not least we have the great Grim who adores his little family more than anything and has no qualms about using his magic fire to burn anything & everyone who thinks of hurting them.
After getting over the shock and just getting used to having roommates, I can see the Mukamis just feeling that internal fluffy love at having people who are just as damaged and deranged openly caring for them. Besides them being powerhouses including Yui who don't tolerate threats adds to the feeling of safety. They have a community that readily makes everyone is fed, safe, and with the opportunity to succeed and be happy in their own ways. Not to mention its made up of humans, beastmen, fae and even fucking ghosts when all the Mukamis ever knew before was the idea that only themselves alone were trustworthy.
But the exposure to not just Ramshackle but NRC as a whole would also serve them a big slice of humble pie as they realize that they really are at the lower middle of the pyramid at best. Cue self improvement arcs:
Yuuma I see starting to learn shit like boxing, kick boxing, and muay thai. Why? Cause A) these martial arts are all about simple easy to understand moves B) they teach him how to better control his strength and to be aware of how much force is necessary. Its a straightforward way for him to improve by sharpneing himself that doesn't require much thinking.
Azusa takes a page of from Fellow's book to learn symbolic and writing based magic. He'd draw stitch magical spells into his skin that activate when he pours magical energy into them and he switches often to test out develop new spells.
Kou would study mainly Jamil, Fellow, and Vil's styles of magic to turn himself into a sort of vampiric siren. Activating this spell makes everything about him far too alluring, people want to listne to him, to please him, to get in his good graces. He can't give explicit orders or else the illusion breaks, but it does effectively allow him to charm others into submission.
Ruki would got out of his way to get his hands on every magical book in the library cause his egosticial ass refuses to be lesser than the idiots Yui calls friends. But I also kinda don't remember enough to think a magic that could be unique to him so please give me suggestions
Hello again! This may be a random request, but could you maybe write for a Hunger Games! Yuu? Like, they were from one of the worse districts and won their games. Considering the fact that the first years are 16, it would make them one of the younger victors. I just think it would be really interesting because they would still have that fight-or-flight deeply ingrained from the Games, which of course would show up during Overblots and probably in Savanaclaw. I feel like they could have some interesting conversations with Ruggie bc they both grew up in poor districts and definitely have some resentment towards the government. I also would love to see Lilia figure out real quick that this KID has as much trauma as any veteran. Ignihyde might remind them a bit too much of the Capitol. They would certainly have ISSUES with pre-overblot Riddle because of... Memories. (Better a simple restraint than what they did to rule breakers in the Square.)
They would just plain hate Crowley, I believe. He acts WAY too much like the majority of people in the Capitol. Frivolous, unbothered by everything except money and reputation, pushing problems onto children without caring about how it affects them. Maybe an initial dislike for Pomefiore, too, before they realize that the dorm is about the same tenacity that kept them alive in the Games.
Sorry for rambling, the idea just hit me and I couldn't stop 😅
Man, I LOVE apocalyptic Yuu´s concepts, especially if they come from dystopian worlds where people have had to fight to survive. Although I have to admit, I'm being a bit influenced by your question because, um, I've never seen The Hunger Games. Not the movies, not the books. Excuse my ignorance, or if this sounds like a generalization about all dystopian Yuu´s.
Yuu definitely has the habits and reflexes of someone trained to survive anything. They sleep under Ramshackle's bed instead of on the mattress because it's "safer" in case of surprise attacks, they know how to make weapons from scratch with whatever they find around them, they know the body's weak points as if it were common knowledge, and they could beat all of Savanclaw if they set their minds to it.
I couldn't say whether Yuu is overly distrustful or takes the relationships/"alliances" they forms in TWST very seriously, because on the one hand, you can't survive alone, but on the other hand, trusting the wrong person and considering their background could mean death. Regardless, this Yuu is very guarded about their feelings and weaknesses, whether to avoid being seen as "weak" by others or simply because they doesn't understand why people would be kind if they didn't have a motive (similar to how Katniss rationalizes all selfless interactions as transactional because that's what she knows/thinks makes sense).
Several of the characters trigger certain instincts and reflexes that Yuu has developed in order to survive. They definitely couldn't be in the same room as Riddle during the events of Book 1 because of all the trauma they has with authority figures. On the other hand, Crowley only serves to make all their resentment resurface with great force, making their head throb and their fists clench with rage. Oh, what they wouldn't give to be able to do what they do in their world with these kinds of people…
They wouldn't even bother doing what Crowley tells them to do. Hell, I don't even know if this Yuu would agree to stay in Ramshackle. They've seen people like Crowley their whole lives and how they lie without a second thought. Yuu doesn't believe him when he says he'll find a way to send them back to their world, and even if he did, guess what? They doesn't want to go back! they'd rather build something from scratch in this world than depend indefinitely on another frivolous bastard who doesn't really care about his well-being and safety. "Reject his kind offer"? More like safeguarding their independence. So what if he's homeless for a while? they been worse. Much worse.
I also don't think they'd get along with characters like Leona, purely as a matter of principle. I mean, you want to be king, but you don't want to WORK to be one? That sounds very familiar. Even if Leona undeniably respects Yuu's strength, he also finds their constant questioning annoying (mainly because it forces him to confront parts of himself he doesn't like, but that's another story).
The idea of Ruggie and this Yuu getting along is ironically quite sweet. They both know what it's like to grow up with nothing and have to fight tooth and nail for what little you have, the only real difference being that Yuu actually had to fight tooth and nail. Ruggie not only respects Yuu but also empathizes with their struggles and tries to be a support, noticing that they's still in "danger mode" and unable to realize that "hey, maybe I'm not in mortal danger now." It's usually Ruggie who tries to encourage Yuu to…be their age, to relax and not fear for dear life every second of the day.
Lilia, oh, Lilia. He recognizes the trauma and pain behind those young eyes. He recognizes how Yuu always scans every room for exits or, in the worst-case scenario, weapons. He's seen all this before, but in soldiers, in grown men. He would never want to see this in a child. Lilia is quite paternal with Yuu, of course, in his own way. he learned the hard way not to startle them if he didn't want a black eye, but aside from that, they actually have a pretty positive relationship, with Lilia being a cheerful mentor figure and Yuu being…well, Yuu.
Needless to say, after going through the games, the Overblots will be a walk in the park.

¡no quiere regresar!
Not a request. But what reaction of Twisted wonderland Grim with Yui Komori and Castlevania Alucard! Yuu, and with the whole 'Yuu and Grim treated as one student' or something because Yuu's magicless, does he have to be with Yui or Alucard! Yuu?
I think they would be treated as a Trio. Or a Three-part-student.
Or, more easily for paperwork, Grim has to be with Yui, bc she cant do anything Magic related, meanwhile Alucard!Yuu can be consider a "transfer" student bc he can do crazy shit like canon Alucard.
Not a request. But what do you think about an idea of Arcanist!Yuu (not a Timekeeper/Vertin) who comes from Reverse: 1999 and is from Timekeeper's team? The trauma this Yuu goes through will be unbelievable. At one side, there is the Storm that constantly erases history, taking everything and everyone you love and would love, at second, organisation that force you to fit in with their rules, order, uses and brainwashes children for military force and won't hesitate to sacrifice you for "greater good", at third, apocalypse cult obsessed with supremacy causing genocide, suffering, wars, economic crash, etc. use and would brainwash everyone and won't hesitate to sacrifice you for greater destruction.
If anything, for Arcanist!Yuu, who has seen shit worse and weirder than place they currently in, wont be weirded or scared of anything around them. They would take a break, twisted wonderland would be almost peaceful for Arcanist!Yuu, at least they wouldn't have to worry about Storm or Manus' plots, but they would be worried about Timekeeper, even though Yuu knows that Vertin will be mostly fine thanks to allies she has.
WOW THIS YUU IS GOING THROUGH IT.
Unfortunetly, i dont know shit about this series/game, so i cant make up a good enough rant about this, but in general i really like the idea of the Yuu´s of apocaliptic settings seeing TWST like a walk on the park compared to the shit they are used to see/deal with.
Not a request just a question. Would you still be open to writing for Prince Lotor from Voltron? You have some posts of him so I was curious! I adore that man…
Hi! i would totally write for him, its one of my favorite characters of all time and i HATE how the show ended, so a little fanfiction of my comfort character is very welcome.
