Look, I do love and support Seb. I think he’s doing great with all his projects and with the care he puts into them. You can tell he’s very passionate about it all. But I just wish he hadn’t stayed this silent about what’s been happening in Gaza for the past two years. He didn’t hesitate to speak up when the war first broke out in Ukraine, even though back then he still had everything to lose, job-wise.

His silence on this matter is unfortunately getting louder and louder.

He talked about sailing, of course, but also about his farming endeavours (they just had their second hay season, it's hard but fun), his family (he loves spending more time with his kids), climate/environmentalism (how he's a hypocrite, and the efforts of Sail GP to be better), return to motorsport (endurance is interesting but no plans) and F1 specifically (not as a driver ofc; replacing Helmut Marko in some capacity, maybe, some day, but busy rn).

my grandfather ran a cheetah sanctuary in south africa and he’d just lie with them and sleep among them and they’d rub against him and chirp at him they’re big fucking babies

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Others will breed, but stress themselves out so much, they’ll lose their cubs. So zoos with breeding programs had to figure out how to make cheetahs comfortable enough to first of all, get laid and secondly - not spazz themselves into miscarrying. So what’d they do? They gave the cheetah’s their very own Service Dogs! The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

Also! Cheetahs are not in fact classified as big cats, they are simply very large lesser cats, due to the fact that they purr, meow, chirp, and cannot roar. Also many cheetahs have learned to recognize wildlife photographers are friends and not foes, so they will just come up to people and be friendly occasionally as pictured at the top of the chain. Some will even leave their Cubs with photographers to look after while they hunt. So. Yeah. Cheetahs are great

this works because cheetahs are actually fairly social animals, and they look to members of their group for context on how worried they should be about any given Situation. but since cheetahs are also nervous social animals, they can work each other into an anxiety spiral pretty easily over things like “being in an enclosed habitat” and “there’s a guy over there”.

so by introducing a dog as a member of the group, the cheetahs will now look to the dog for context clues on how worried they should be! and the dog Is Not Worried At All, Thanks, so the cheetahs think everything must be chill even if they were personally unsure about it, and they stop being so freaked out about literally everything.

I have to admit, I feel a bit icky seeing people post and reblog photos of Vettel’s daughters.

I kind of feel like if a parent wasn’t the one to post the photos, they shouldn’t be circulated online by others.

That in addition to the fact that Vettel has gone to such an effort over the years to keep his kids out of the public eye, and then now there’s photos of them on tumblr with hundreds of notes and photos on twitter too.

Kids are too young to consent to their photos being online, and in this scenario Vettel’s kids were always kept private, so to focus on them now feels weird.

I would completely agree if that was a paparazzi photo or something like that, but it's a photo from a PUBLIC event, people didn't need to go on twitter or tumblr to see their faces, you just needed to watch the match and I think both parents took that in consideration beforehand

they were on the field, in front of a camera. i get the message of NEEDING to protect a child's image, especially according to the parents wishes. but i think those photos were more than expected, otherwise you would've not seen them on television either.

They would’ve been just two random, blond kids on the football pitch, like thousands of others before them.

By posting those photos online with their full names and ages on display, you made them recognisable.
