"I feel safe with you. No one will hurt me,"Rosilyn said softly.

"Landon…Don’t even blame yourself for one second…. this is not your fault,"Rosilyn said as she pulled him tighter against herself and running her fingers through his hair. "I didn’t think I could live one more day in that house, and hold back my feelings that I have for you."
Rosilyn knew she should have never left the ranch like she did. She was just at breaking point. She didn’t think Landon would ever move on and she couldn’t keep pretending she didn’t care for him. She was sure his father was onto her affection for his son. It wasn’t that she fawned over Landon. It was quite the opposite. Rosilyn started to stay away from Landon more and more. It was that she knew she couldn’t hide the feelings she had developed.
Rosilyn knew she shouldn’t have left the ranch. She had let her emotions take hold of her. She just couldn’t take anymore of it. Rosilyn was very lucky that Landon showed up when he did and saved her from the bandits. Rosilyn’s hands were still shaking, but she assumed that may be from the closeness to the man she loved.
"Please, don’t let this end,"Rosilyn whispered to Landon before placing her lips back on his.
Landon let a hand rise to her cheek, his thumb brushing over her cheekbone once. He moved his lips in a chaste and sweet acceptance of her kiss before he pulled away again. His other hand moved to rest on her waist and pull her back into his arms.
"I'm sorry," he repeated into her hair, planting a kiss on the top of her head. "I'm so so sorry, Rose... C'mon, I don' wan'cha out here longer'n ya have t' be with bandits."
