I made a rainbow cake for my first college party. I covered it in black frosting and dusted it with white sprinkles so it would be very dramatic when it was cut into. The cake was thrown onto a table with a bunch of other desserts and kind of forgotten about; the host had taken it from me with a look of ‘I can’t believe this idiot freshman made a fucking black cake.’

Cue two hours later when someone cut into it and screamed, “JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, COME AND SEE THIS CAKE.”

After that, I had more friends than I knew what to do with.

Hi everyone! In the picture above is my grandmother (and father). My grandma was always there for me, she was the sweetest old woman ever! In every argument with my siblings she agreed with me even if I was obviously wrong. She cared for everyone, even for people she didn’t know! Which was a little out there. She was one of those grandmas that offered you food even though you were stuffed to the brim! After her husband passed away she became even stronger, telling me “to live life and chances take, life’s short” (her English wasn’t too good haha). Over time she developed Alzheimer’s which was very hard on all of us. But I will never forget the night where she couldn’t even remember my aunt, her own daughter! I was frightened by this honestly, until I came up to her and said “grandma you remember me right?” She said nothing and just started to cry, and embracing me for what seemed like seconds but was actually minutes. My grandma is a breast cancer survivor and I’m just so proud to call her my grandma. She passed away 3 months ago and no words can express how much I miss her. And so to give a shout out my granny I’ve decided to start a fundraiser and help everyone with all types of cancer. But I can’t do it alone, it would mean so much to me if you all went onto this website (http://m.relayforlife.org/index) and searched up (THE FIGHTING LIONS) and donate what you can! I know this is very cliche, and you’re wondering why should I donate to her? What makes her so special? I’m not really, I just want to help others and I can’t do it alone. Thank you so much!
