New thing I want to try out on my studyblr having to do with computer science

so I have a little journal that I always have with me whenever I’m doing anything CS related. Basically any mistake that I make I write it and explain what I did to fix it. or basically anything interesting that I learn.

and so I thought, why not add it here and have a specific tag? like for example, when doing anything with git, I’ll add the tag gittip. or if it’s Xcode I’ll do xcodetip. so it would be:

I’m a CS studyblr, so might as well use it to help other with CS because to be honest, CS is hard. plus I have way more time for coding since all my 6 classes are CS classes.

Also, anything having to do with computer science, basically all the tags combined will be under the cstip tag

just p.s I’m also learning myself because I didn’t grow up with coding and started just three years ago, so it won’t be perfect.

what's actually kinda hilarious is that my parents always talk about me being a very good student all my life, and like one day, about a year ago, I found old report cards from middle school and my grades were not amazing. most of the teacher notes on them was that I never finished assignments... and I would also always get in trouble for talking

and then I also remember that my friend once asked me what my gpa was and I said like 3.0 or something and he said that he thought it was so much higher

and i feel like I come off as a good student because I do love to learn a lot of things. I would change my hobbies a lot when I was younger, yet I always learned things that got in the way of my school learning. and honestly I'm not dumb or lazy, i just feel like i get super overwhelmed with school things that I just sit there and either do nothing, just zone out, or something that is totally unrelated to what I should be doing

i think one way i would cope with being overwhelmed is that without realizing, i used to change my study places a lot. I would never stay in the same spot. and now since the pandemic, things have gotten much worse because I only have one spot to study and I'm always at home.

when i finally realized the way that i tend to self sabotage without realizing and that things that I would be able to cope with before the pandemic I can't do now, I was ready to do a diagnosis if i have adhd, and I can't because now i don't have health insurance....

i hate group projects bc part of me understands bc what if they're going through it, yknow? BUT then the other part of me wants to fight them bc i'm struggling hard and it's just me doing it and they don't even send me a quick message letting me know why :(

it sucks that I can't even open my curtains for minimum sunlight bc of creepy neighbors. like who even thinks to make windows right across from each other. we're literally only 20 ft from each other and they can see right into my room :/

honestly...it’s ok to just use your skills on yourself! sewing clothes only you to wear, making art to hang up in your own personal area, singing and recording songs for you only to listen to...like not everything has to be for other people’s consumption!
