There are scammers on Tumblr preying on your empathy toward Palestinian people. Be cautious of accounts that send you numerous messages.

I have seen an account that used a stolen USG picture as theirs. They were supposedly vetted.

I asked some questions in a private conversation with a person seeking donations. I received no specific information about the person apparently organizing many of these fundraisers or how the whole process works.

There are inconsistent details in the descriptions of two fundraisers using photos of the same family.

On several GoFundMe pages, the listed organizers are the alleged Palestinian beneficiaries from the stories. This doesn't make sense because GoFundMe does not operate in Palestine. They also claim to be from a different country at the same time.

One person I communicated with provided a different organizer name than the one presented on their fundraiser page.

Please be careful and check information for yourself.

Plus, if they're starving and barely surviving, HOW ON EARTH are they paying for their phone? Use common sense, people. Stop giving up your money to fakes and liars. (this is exactly like the nigerian prince scams, except targeting selfless people. This scam is honestly sick and cruel.)
