The City's Last Edict

For anyone curious- here's a lil lore I made to this image: Cindralith, city sitting in the middle of a desert, a desert that wasn't always there. Once part of a network of thriving cities, now stands alone, and its pipes and railways stretching into nothing. The city hums with endless machinery even though all humans are gone by now. Official reports claim that Project Crucible was meant to bring "progress" to the region. Internal memos show orders from Directorate [REDACTED], under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Expansion, insisting on maximum industrial output at any cost. Environmental consquences, previously noted by scientists, were classified as 'File 4.3', its contents hidden from the public knowledge. Eyewitness accounts of dissenters were erased or labeled as anomalies, and the fate of neighboring cities once connected by pipelines and railways, remains unknown. All that remains is machinery... endlessly working, as if the city itself remembers the government that built it.
