you always told yourself that you wouldnât allow muichiroâs death consume you. however since the fight, guilt crept up on you until it swallowed you whole.
it crashed into you like a wave, dragging you out to sea until you could no longer fight against it, allowing it to drag you under.
you were a Hashira alongside him, following him through the infinity castle until a moving wall crashed its way into you. you still remember the pain it brought you, a type of ache that even when itâs not truly there, you still feel it within your bones.
during that moment you silently prayed to whoever was listening to keep him safe. you fought your own battles trying to make your way back to him, yet it wasnât enough. hearing a crow fly above to announce that the mist Hashira had been killed, killed something in you.
you donât remember much after that, other than the defeat against Muzan. the loss of your fellow Hashira burned deep inside you, yet it still does. but nothing compares to guilt you feel.
you and muichiro were never anything. nothing more than âcoworkersâ. but you always felt something a little more, something you couldnât quite place. maybe thatâs why the guilt ate you alive, or maybe it was because deep down you wished it was you.
you were fifteen then. it has been ten years since the battle. the mark you awoken those years ago seemed to burn faintly along your arm. reminding you to what was to come.
you could see the moon from your window. by itâs position, you knew it was nearly midnight. nearly your twenty-fifth birthday. you had watched the few surviving slayers and Hashira alongside you die in the very same way that was awaiting you. it was now your turn.
your eyes flickered, breath becoming shallow. everything felt like lead, yet it was peaceful. you closed your eyes for the last time, a smile curled on your face.
you heard a voice. a familiar voice.
your eyes shot open and suddenly he was there. Muichiro stood in front of you, smiling. but not only him. but everyone else you had lost. you glanced down at yourself and noticed you were back to your fifteen year old self.
you looked back up at him and smiled. the first true smile in years. you felt warmth on your face, before you realized it, you had started crying. happy tears.
âyouâve finally made it.â he whispered as he held his hand out for you.
âi canât believe youâre here again.â you cried as you grabbed his open hand, leading you towards forever happiness.

Tokito had told you to stay back. This demon was undoubtedly an upper rank, and you werenât yet skilled enough to take it on. However, in the heat of the moment, you had ignored your orders and ran towards the demon in hopes to behead it. But, it seemed your hopes had been crushed.
The demon had taken one swing at you, and its claws had torn through your uniform and chest. The impact had thrown you a few yards away from the battle. Your body had been thrown into a nearby tree, the sudden explosion of pain had blinded the rest of your senses as you cried out.
You felt blood trickle out of your mouth and nose. Your chest burned with pain and with something else. You didnât want to die this way, you took on this job knowing it was dangerous, but this wasnât supposed to happen. Tears welled up in your eyes as you watched Tokito continue to fight the demon.
You felt yourself become dizzy and tired. Your breathing had become labored and heavy. You called out for him. Your voice was barely a whisper. But before you knew it, mist filled the forest, and now Tokito was at your side. He had finally defeated the demon, withstanding injuries of his own. He crouched down to his knees for you.
Blood poured out of your body. Too fast to stop. There was nothing he could do, but he tried to apply bandages to your wounds. He knew the end was near for you, so he pulled your head into his lap. He carefully stroked your hair. âY/n, Iâm sorry I couldnât protect you.â His heart stung at those words. You tried to speak, but the blood in your mouth stopped you. He took in a deep breath. âIâll make sure you get help.â And suddenly he had taken you into his arms and rushed you to the Butterly Mansion.
The night air was cold and crisp. With your injuries, your body temperature was dropping quickly. You shivered in his arms which caused his heart to ache. Your breathing was almost invisible. You were so tired, your eyes fluttered every so often. Of course, he noticed. It only made him rush more. He refused to let you die in his arms.
It was just a few minutes until you would have arrived to the Butterfly mansion. So close, yet so far away. Tokito was begging you to stay awake, but the injuries were taking a toll on your body. After a long, fought battle, you allowed the darkness to consume you. Your breaths were feather-like. Your body went limp. Tokito watched as your life was slipping away, tears welled up in his eyes.
The mansion was finally coming into view. Kocho was already standing with the butterfly girls, waiting for your arrival. Tokito had sent out his crow to alert them of your condition. Once he arrived, the girls had immediately taken you. Kocho frowned at him as they took you away. She sighed. âThey donât look so good Tokito. And neither do you.â He had completely forgotten of his own injuries. Your blood was still on his hands, painting them like this was his fault you were here.
Kocho had pulled him away from his thoughts by leading him to an empty room. Luckily, his injuries werenât severe. A few cuts and bruises. You however, werenât so lucky. You had lost a lot of blood and were in a hypothermic state. You needed emergency surgery, although the outcome wasnât good.
Tokito couldnât sleep that night. His mind continued to race and worry about you. He couldnât help but feel as if this was his fault. He shouldnât had agreed to take you on this mission with him. But he couldnât resist your pleas. He had realized he had fallen for you months before the incident, but never spoke up. And now, his love was on their deathbed.
~~~
It had been three days. Each night was more agonizing for him. He had nightmares each night, and was constantly losing sleep. Kocho had given him a thorough check-up, and quickly discharged him. But not without presenting him the news.
âTheyâre in a coma, Tokito. Unfortunately, theyâre showing no signs of awaking from it anytime soon.â Kochoâs words felt like a sword jabbed into his heart. He felt tears threatening to fall, but he blinked hard to push them away. He opened his words to say something, but nothing came out. He just nodded and left. He ignored her requests as he made his way to his home.
His thoughts raced around. And they were all about you, they always were. The spark he had gotten back, was gone again. You werenât with him anymore, and there was such a slim chance you would wake up again.
That was the last day he had spoken.
Hashira meetings had an uncomfortable silence to them now. Everyone gave their condolences to him, but none of it mattered. Since that day, it seemed like he had zoned out for good. His body was on autopilot. He only thought of you, he visited everyday at the same time. Each day, you appeared no different than the last. But he wasnât going to lose hope.
He brought gifts everyday, always your favorite things. He brought flowers every time the last ones began to wilt. It was clear to everyone that he loved you. You were the last person he truly had. And now, you were in a crisp-white bed, an emotionless room, and had constant check-ins.
You were the only person he talked to, because he truly believed you could hear him. He cried every day when he saw you and acted like no one could notice. They could. The red rings across his eyes said everything. He felt so empty without you. He was empty.
He trained endlessly. Pushed himself to the max. Everyone was concerned for the boy. They knew he was going to end up killing himself at this rate. He had become so harsh towards everyone, including Tanjiro.
~~~
Two years. It had been two years since you had went into the coma. And you were still in that stupid white bed. Muichiro never gave up on you. But slowly, slowly he began to lose hope. It had been years, if you were going to wake up, you wouldâve by now. You werenât pretty much dead, and he couldnât take it.
He had changed so much, yet so little, in those two years. You had changed. He watched how your hair grew longer and how your face had somehow matured. It was so unbearable. He knew he couldnât keep living this way, he had no motivation anymore. He never felt the joy in killing demons anymore. He just wanted you, but you werenât coming back.
~~~
While on his way back from his mission, he was approached by a demon. He drew his sword quickly, but there was no fear towards the demon. He was just done. He had no fighting spirit. The demon was an upper rank, just like the one that had ended you. Tokito had put his sword away. He looked at the demon with emptiness. âI have no wish to fight you.â And with that, he turned away and began to walk.
Just then, the demon was in front of him again. âWoah, thatâs new! A Hashira, who has no wish to defeat me?â Tokito simply nodded. The demon looked away in thought before lunging at him. Tokito was taken aback in shock. The demon had sliced his heart with his BDA. Why did he suddenly act so impulsive? Why didnât he just do his duty? This wasnât like him at all. Tears formed. The demon stepped closer to him and bent down.
âThis is going to kill you~! Cmon, donât you want to become a demon?!â The demonâs laughter flooded the forest. Tokito was frozen in fear, he knew he was going to die. But he didnât want to. Suddenly, he remembered you. If you woke up and he was dead, you would never be the same again. He couldnât have that. Just then, the demon spoke again. âLooks like youâre running out of time! Hurry, hurry, make your decision!â Tokito let the tears fall before nodding. â..ok..t-turn me.â The demon smiled brightly. âOk~ this is going to hurt!â
And it did. Tokito had never felt so much pain in his life. He thrashed violently as the new blood in his body took over. Before he knew it, he had passed out. When he awoke, he was in a new place. This place had continued on and on. Where was he? This body felt foreign. He had looked down at his hands. They were a sickly colored blue. Wait, why couldnât he remember anything? Who was he? Why was he here?
He looked up to be met with more demons kneeling beside him. He searched for the reason of this, until he seen him. He had red eyes and curly, black hair. His legs were crossed in a chair. But he uncrossed them after seeing the new demon had awakened. âSo, the former Mist Hashira is now a demon? Great.â âTokitoâ looked around. âUm, who are you?â He saw a vein twitch in the manâs arm at that question. âIt does not matter. From now on, you refer to me as, Lord Muzan.â âTokitoâ nodded. âYour name is Kasumi.â Kasumi, it sounded so foreign. He nodded.
Back at the demon slayer corps, everyone had been searching for Tokito. He left no trace of himself. The mission wasnât supposed to last long at all, but now he was missing. This wasnât like him at all.
Everyone was heartbroken over the loss of the young boy. They thought he had killed himself somewhere in the mountains due to you not waking up.
~~~
Five years since Tokito went missing. Seven since you first went into the coma. But now, you had awoken. Everyone was shocked, but that sense of guilt was still there. You didnât know about Tokito. And to make it hurt even more, he was the first thing you asked for. Kocho was checking over you when you broke the silence. âMiss Kocho, whereâs Tokito?â She had a slight pause in her movements before looking at you. âIâll tell you when youâre stronger, I promise.â That didnât settle the curiosity, it only made it stronger.
You had worked for months to become stronger. Every time you asked about him, someone brushed it off and told you to wait till you were stronger. He was your motivation now.
Everyone was shocked at how fast you had come back after years in a weakened state. But you, you felt stronger than ever once you had woken up. You worked hard to gain the information. But nothing ever came to the surface. Not until you filled in his Hashira spot. You were so excited to finally see him, but when he wasnât there, you knew something was wrong and demanded answers.
You went up to the one person you knew would break if you asked. Kanroji. She saw you walk up to her with a sour grim on your face. And suddenly she became flustered. âMiss Kanroji.â She gigged nervously. âY-Y/n! Do you need something?â You nodded. âI know you know where Tokito is. Where is he?â You gave her an intimidating look, and just as you suspected, she broke. âAhhh! He killed himself on the mountain 5 years ago!â She covered her face as your face drained of color. âWhat..?â âIâm sorry Y/n! We couldnât tell you, and we hoped you would soon forget!â You just shook your head as tears fell fast. That was also the last time anyone had heard your voice.
You trained harder and harder from then on. You knew the final battle was soon, and you wanted to fight for Tokitoâs peace. It was your fault he killed himself, and now you needed to avenge him.
He never left your mind. He was your motivation this whole time, and he would always be your motivation. He was the first person you loved. He was your best friend. The one you truly loved.
Unfortunately it had only taken 3 months until the final battle. Your heart raced as you made your way to Masterâs mansion. But as soon as you made it, it blew up. âO-oh my gosh.â You covered your nose as the smell of fire and ash broke through. But still, you quickly rushed toward the mansion. You knew this was it.
Once you made it to the rubble, there stood a man and a woman. Himejima quickly joined them. You watched as he beheaded the man, but to your shock, he only regenerated. âItâs Muzan!â You were frozen in shock, until Tanjiro spoke up. âMuzan!â Suddenly, you and everyone else had jumped from your positions, shouting out your breathing forms. But then, just as you were about to reach him, the ground opened up.
There you fell through what you remembered the other Hashira and the Master called the, Infinity Castle. You didnât know where you were destined to land, but for some reason, you felt some familiarity in this place. Something so foreign it brought butterflies to you.
You fell through the air for what felt like forever, until you finally landed into a room. Except, it didnât look like the rest of the castle, let alone a room. It appeared to be a forest, or the impression of one. Mist filled the room. You were nervous to walk through it, but thatâs when you saw a pair of glowing blue eyes look at you. They were such a familiar color. But it didnât matter. You knew from the eyes, that this was an uppermoon.
âShow yourselfâ you said as you were drawing your sword out. It was identical to Tokitoâs old sword. âThat sword looks so familiar.â The mist grew thicker as the demon approached, but soon dissipated as it was in front of you. Seeing the demon, tears formed in your eyes. In front of you, was your true love, Tokito. But it wasnât him. He had blueish skin, his hair was mostly black now, he had darker blue details on his skin. It couldnât be him, he killed himself. Right?
You had to test this theory out. âAre you, Tokito..?â You watched as the name seemed to flash across the demonâs face. His eyes flickered ever so slightly. âNo. My name is Kasumi.â It didnât matter. You knew it was him, you felt it. âW-why? Why are you a demon?!â Tears poured down your face. âWhy would I tell you?â You sniffled. âBecause, itâs me, Y/n.â That same sense of familiarity rushed over him. He shook his head. âI donât care who you are. And the reason I turned? Just because.â You knew that was such bullshit. They had to have taken his memory.
âLiar.â He sighed dramatically. âEnough chitchat. Weâre here for a fight.â You didnât want to fight him, you couldnât. But you also couldnât see him in this form. You had to do this, for the corps. Tokito was already gone.
Seeing your face of determination made him smile. It was on. He lunged at you and you quickly dodged his attacks. You swung your sword at him and cut his arm. âWoah youâre good. But not that good.â Suddenly, he released his BDA. A huge wave of mist crowded you. âCareful~ if you breathe it in, youâll poison yourself.â You held your breath, it was already too late since you already breathed it in. It didnât stop you from fighting though. It was a brutal fight. The both of you were landing hits on the other, some severe.
You were so tired. Your injuries were bad, and unfortunately one of his swings at you had somewhat reopened your old injury. You didnât stop though. You couldnât. You fought him for hours. There was just something holding you back. Maybe because it was him. But it didnât matter now. At least thatâs what you told yourself.
Using one of your breathing forms, you had distracted him, and finally had a chance to cut off his head. But just as you were about to, he turned and sliced off your arm. But, it didnât stop you, you were already this close. You had to defeat him. He froze in shock as he watched you barely falter in your moves. He saw tears pouring down your face now. âIâm so sorry, Tokito.â And with that, you sliced through his neck. The momentum had carried you forward which caused you to land on your back.
You winced in pain. You knew this was truly it. You couldnât help but cry. You looked over to your left, and thatâs where you saw his head. Tears were falling from his eyes too. He looked shocked. The two of you cried while looking into each otherâs eyes. âI remember. I remember Y/n. Iâm so sorry!â But before you could say anything, he disappeared.
Your tears had somewhat slowed. Your body was battered and bruised. You knew you were going to die, and this time you didnât care. You just closed your eyes and awaited death. You hoped to see him again in the afterlife, or perhaps another life. And thatâs when your breathing stopped.
When you awoke again, you were with your family again. Some of your fellow slayers too. But you looked to your left again, and there stood Tokito. In hell. Your sobs broke the happiness around you as you ran to him. âNo, no!â You tried to join him before you felt someone grab you. You looked back to see his own brother grab you back. You remembered him, Yuichiro. Tokito told you everything about him. âTokito, no! Let me come with you!â He smiled at you softly and shook his head. âI canât let you. You donât deserve to be here.â You sobbed before falling to your knees. âNeither do you! Please Tokito-â He cut you off. âMuichiro, call me that instead.â You cried even harder. âMuichiro, please!â You pleaded with him, you even watched tears fall from his own eyes. But then he turned away. He walked away from you, into the pits of hell. âNo!â You screamed, but it seemed to do no good.
Everyone else around you was crying because of you. They had watched over the two of you the whole time. You sobbed harder and harder. Your hopes, crushed again.

Muichiro getting jealous over y/n being friends with another demon slayer and hanging out with him?
Muichiro x reader
a/n: i decided to use zenitsu because honestly every slayer just doesnât like him đ
warnings: none
~~~
Muichiro looked around everywhere for you. He had returned home from a mission, and on his way he picked you some flowers. Now, he was dying to give them to you, but you were nowhere to be found.
he went to every spot he knew you liked, and you werenât there. He called your name continuously, but no reply.
Muichiro seemed to deflate since he couldnât find you. You werenât anywhere.
he decided to go walk around the mansions, and thatâs when he ran into Tanjiro. âTokito, itâs nice to see you!â Muichiro smiled at the boy before nodding. âYes, itâs good to see you too Tanjiro.â Tanjiro looked down at the flowers in his hand and gestured towards them. âAre those for Y/n?â Muichiro gleamed at hearing your name. âYes, but I canât find them anywhere. Have you seen them?â Tanjiro grabbed his chin and looked at the ground, almost as if he was thinking too hard.
but then his face lit up. âYes! I saw them with Zenitsu just a few minutes ago. They went that direction.â He pointed behind himself. Why were you with that annoying, piss-haired boy? Muichiro clenched his jaw and thanked the boy for his help, and went on his way to find you.
after walking for a bit, he caught up to the two of you. He got close enough to hear your conversation. âAh, I should be getting back now! Muichiro is probably looking for me.â You paused mid step. The boy turned around and looked at you with pleading eyes. âOh cmon Y/n! You said we could hang out!â Muichiro felt himself getting angry. You had clearly told him you didnât want to be there anymore.
before he knew it, he had ran in between the two of you, and threw the flowers at Zenitsuâs head. âThey told you they should be getting back.â He didnât offer to spare anymore time around him. He quickly grabbed your hand and walked away.
âMuichiro! Iâm so glad youâre back.â Suddenly his gentle expression was back. âMe too.â The two of you walked back to his mansion before you spoke up. âHey, so were those for me?â He didnât exactly know what you meant, but then he remembered. âThe flowers?â You nodded. âOh, yeah they were. Sorry Iâll pick you some new ones.â He sulked down in embarrassment because he went through all the trouble to give them to you, only to not give them to you.
you laughed at him. âItâs okay, I promise!â He looked at you and saw you smiling, which brought a smile to his face.
from now on, heâll make sure he keeps a second bouquet ready. Just for incidents like this.
warnings: just jealousy from the Saja Boys, maybe ooc?
fluffy
This is mostly a platonic fic, but it can be interpreted as romantic! (to the saja boys NOT derpy)
~~~
âBoys, I have some newsââ Your voice cut off once you looked up and noticed they werenât there. You pinched the bridge of your nose and sighed. âWhat the heck.â You knew they shouldâve been home from their costume fittings by now, so where were they?
You kicked your shoes off as you glanced down at the papers in your hands. They were just the usual brand deals and company sponsors that wanted the Saja Boys faces on them. You looked away from them and made your way to your office to put the papers away.
As you walked through the quiet apartment, you heard something fall. Your head whipped around and thatâs when you saw it. This big, blue cat. Or well, tiger. Your jaw dropped. âWHAA?!â You shut your eyes, tight, and shook your head. This cannot be real. Once you opened your eyes again, it was still there. Thatâs also when you noticed the flower vase it had knocked over, and was trying to pick up.
Thatâs when you were soon taken down by a cuteness overload. âOmigosh!â You squealed as your eyes went wide. The papers in your hands were soon disregarded as you ran up to the poor kitty. You picked up the vase for it, and when you did it looked up with you with that creepy expression on its face. It then pawed at your legs and leaned into you.
Of course you couldnât resist it. You scratched its chin and behind its ears. It purred loudly. âAww, youâre so cute! Whoâs a good kitty?â The big cat then flopped over on its back, waiting for belly rubs. How could you decline that?
You rubbed its tummy, and patted it whenever your hand got tired. Its paws were making biscuits in the air and you were on the verge of crying from the cuteness.
~~~
âJinu, Iâm sure theyâre not back yet.â Romance tried his best to assure him that you werenât home. âMaybe not, but Derpy is out, I have to put him away before they do get there.â They all could hear the annoyance in Jinuâs voice.
They didnât want to anger him anymore, but they knew how Derpy was getting more comfortable around the apartment. They didnât know how heâd react to a human. Itâs not like they werenât also worried about you. In fact they were also scared.
They all rushed back to the apartment quickly.
~~~
Meanwhile, you were cuddled up to the tiger.
They burst through the door like they were the fbi or something. âY/n?!â They searched the entire apartment, but soon found you in the living room.
You were on top of Derpy. You didnât want to break the comfortable position you were in, so you merely lifted your head. âHey guys.â You sounded tired, sleep had almost enveloped you until they burst through the front door.
They all let out a deep breath they didnât even know they were holding. Suddenly Baby began to laugh. âOh goshâwe all thought you were dead.â You tilted your head. âWhat do you mean? Iâm perfectly fine.â They all looked at Jinu and laughed. He scoffed. âDonât act like you guys werenât scared too!â Suddenly they all shut up.
There was an awkward silence for a big before you spoke up. âSo are you guys done?â They all looked at you and nodded. âGood, Iâm tired,â You patted the big cat to encourage it to get up, âcmon kitty, take me to my room.â You held on as Derpy got up and began to walk to your room. As you two passed the boys, you stuck your tongue out at them.
âY/n, his name is Derpy, not kitty! And heâs not a cat!â Jinu called from behind you. Just to piss him off you purposely praised the cat too loud. âYouâre such a good cat, Kitty!â You could hear Jinuâs groan which put a smile on your face.
The boys gave you some space to rest, but once they realized Derpy hadnât returned, they went to check on you. Romance was the one who opened the door, and when he did his jaw dropped. The others were confused and pushed him out of the way. The sight before their eyes caused their jaws to also drop. âOh what the heck?!â Jinu scoffed. This made mystery speak up. âHow come that big thing gets to sleep with her and I- I mean we donât?â The others side eyed him before looking back at you.
You were cuddled up to the big cat, sleeping soundly. Of course Derpy was still awake, and Jinu swears he saw that cat smile at them.
~~~
The next morning when you walked into the living room, all of the boys looked upset. Dramatically upset. You looked around at all of them. âUm are you guys okay?â Romance and Abby let out long sighs, hoping it made you feel bad. Spoiler alert: it didnât. You just rolled your eyes.
âAre you guys jealous that I slept with the cat?â Jinu verbally groaned. âugh! How many times do I have to tell you, heâs not a caââ a voice cut him off. âYes, we are.â Mystery whined softly. You laughed at them, they were the sweetest boys. Even if they were possessive, you wouldnât trade them for the world. But, you were definitely sleeping with Derpy from now on, this was hilarious to you.
When you heard about the demon boyband Jinu created, you laughed out loud. You genuinely thought it was a joke until Gwi Ma called you to him.
You were one of the few demons who werenât afraid of him. You were born here, he had nothing to remind you of your past to keep you glued to him. He basically was your past.
You made your way up to him slowly, purely for dramatic effect. You could hear some demons snickering near you, fully convinced you were in trouble. You merely rolled your eyes and scoffed.
You grinned slyly as you walked up the stairs. âGwi Ma, you called?â You crossed your arms as you watched a smile appear in the flame. âAh Y/n. Itâs been a while, yes?â You looked down and shook your head. Did he call you just to waste your time? âCut to the chase. Why am I here?â Laughter boomed through the realm.
âIâm sure youâve heard of Jinu and his boyband by now.â You accidentally let out a small laugh before covering it with a cough. âOf course I have. But what does that have to do with me?â If he had a face, youâd imagine him grinning ear to ear right now.
âIâll make you a deal. I need a someone to spy on them to make sure theyâre doing what I ask.â You cocked your head to the side and shrugged your shoulders. âOk but, what does this have to do with me?â He let out that big laugh again. âY/n, youâre the only one who can shapeshift into anything.â You sighed. He was right, you were the only demon he could trust and could properly shapeshift.
âWhat do I get in return for this?â The flame grew another smile. âI know how much youâve wanted to go to the human realm. Iâll allow you to stay there for the whole mission unless I ask you to report back to me for updates on the boys.â Your eyes might have popped out of your head with sparkles in them. Basically your whole face just lit up. âIâll do it.â
~~~
And thatâs how you found yourself at the big Saja Boys debut. You learned how to turn into your human form, which caused you to look in the mirror for 30 minutes to admire yourself.
You hoped they wouldnât recognize you or feel your presence, but it just so happens they werenât the real threats. You soon learn about the band, Huntrix, who Gwi Ma informed you were demon hunters. It made you shudder at the thought of losing your life to one of them, but they werenât important right now. The boys were.
You watched their performance in awe. They moved so gracefully even if it was help from Gwi Ma. You had never seen a live performance. Your life in the demon realm was boring. You had dreamed of moments like this, you felt so alive. You were captivated by the sound of the music and voices around you. But then it stopped and cheers erupted beside you.
âThank you all for coming to see us! The Saja Boys love you!â And with that they poofed away. This was your chance to follow them. You quickly ran off to a hidden alleyway and shapeshifted into a cat you had seen earlier and teleported to them.
âWe did great guys,â You rounded the corner as you heard Jinu speak, âI think we drew them in pretty fast.â This was your chance to hear everything. Their voices echoed in the quiet alleyway. You heard them talk about a weird presence there. You froze. Did they notice you?
This time Abby spoke up. âSpeaking of weird presences, donât you guys feel like weâre being watched?â The boys all paused slightly before turning their heads. This was your cue. âMeow~â You pranced up to the five boys. According to all of the information you gained from Gwi Ma, you knew Baby loved cats.
You pranced up to him and rubbed yourself on his leg. âMeow~â You looked up at him and jumped on his shoulder. You purred quietly and settled down. Everyone looked over at him with shock written on their faces. Suddenly, he squealed the loudest any of them have heard. âCan we keep it? Please~!â He practically begged them to keep the cat, or well, you.
Jinu sighed. He still felt a weird presence around them, but didnât know what. âFine. But donât let it affect you, or any of us.â Baby nodded before taking you in his hands and rubbing yourself belly. Your purrs could be heard from them all, and suddenly they all melted.
~~~
Before you knew it, you were now a spoiled cat. You had overheard them getting ready for the Play Games With Us show. They would all be leaving, which meant you could too. When they all came over to pet you goodbye, you waited patiently until they were gone to switch back.
You quickly changed into a hoodie and leggings. You decided to walk to the building the show would be held in, teleporting would bring too much attention. The human realm was so different from where you came from. It was more colorful and happy. It didnât take long to arrive, so once you arrived you got a good seat in the front.
The mini games were funny. The hot sauce challenge made you laugh. But you noticed something. Three girls were above the backdrop. Jinu mustâve noticed as well because he called them out. You learned the girls were the Huntrix group you were warned about. They were dressed in full leather, it was obvious they were ready to hunt demons. Surely they didnât know about the boys.
Unfortunately, they did. You followed them all quietly to a bathhouse. You secretly crept in and shapeshifted into a bug, yes a bug. You watched as the two groups shared some words before a bunch of water demons were summoned. You realized Jinu and the boys had ran off, so you followed. But it seemed the leader of Huntrix, who you soon learned was Rumi, had also followed Jinu.
You didnât see the whole thing, but you realized it was only Jinu now, and he was covering the girl. Wait, was that patterns on her arm..? It couldnât be. But then you realized he was gone. You mentally cussed. You had to hurry back to the penthouse before they got back.
*poof*
âWhat the-â Unfortunately you werenât teleported to the bathroom like you hoped, instead you were teleported to the living room. And of course, the boys were there. So there you stood in the middle of the five other demons who you were spying on. You looked around the room before letting out a small laugh.
âHeyy guys..â They all looked around at each other with their mouths agape. Jinu spoke up. âWho are you? And why are you here?â You looked at the ground as you rubbed the back of your neck. âWell itâs a long story..â But then baby spoke. âWait, whereâs Meowie?â Oh right, the whole cat persona. âUm, you see, Iâm Y/n. Iâm a demon just like all of you and I was sent here on orders from Gwi Ma. Oh, and Meowie was me.â Their mouths somehow hung even lower.
You felt like dying right then and there. âWhat orders were you given?â You looked over at Jinu. You felt your face heat up. âUm well, he requested me to spy on you guys.â Jinu let out a laugh that sounded more annoyed than anything. Before he said anything else, you cut him off. âPlease donât tell Gwi Ma!â You looked around frantically at all the boys. âThis is my first, and only chance to be here in the human realm. I want to enjoy it for a little while longer, please?â You heard them all let out sighs.
Thatâs when Jinu made a proposal. âWe wonât say anything, if you agree to be our manager.â You looked at the boys and none of them opposed the idea. You sighed and nodded. âOkay, Iâll do it.â
~~~
After that, you stayed by their sides 24/7. You were surprisingly a good manager. You helped choreograph their performances, helped them with lyrics, and even did things for them around the house. They were all glad to have you.
You were also grateful for them, even if they were annoying. Romance and Abby always flirted with you, Mystery didnât talk much but he was sweet, and baby just glared at you. Jinu however, treated you differently than anyone else. You thought he was sweet and nice. Something in your body felt weird, your heart beat faster when you were around him.
One day however, you noticed him going out a lot. So this time you decided to follow him. You made sure you had nothing else to do, and quietly followed him. You werenât sure where you were, but you spied on him like you were ordered to do.
Thatâs when you saw her, Rumi. You watched the two of them talk to each other. You watched her beg him to help him get set free. But then, they started singing together. You felt weird, your skin was tingly, your chest felt tight, your heart beat so fast you thought it was about to jump out of your body. You felt your arms burn, your patterns were showing. You had to get out of there.
Ever since that day, your patterns appeared more frequently than normal. They burned so bad. Sometimes you hid in your room to get away from everyone. You knew they cherished you dearly, but you didnât want to worry them.
You started to realize every time you thought of Jinu and Rumi together that your patterns sparked. No matter how hard you tried to hide it, the boys started to realize something was wrong.
You had just finished up setting up a meeting for the boys when you heard a knock on your door. âCome in!â You didnât bother to look up, you didnât really care who it was. âWoah, you have so many patterns.â Your eyes went wide. You forgot you were only wearing a T shirt and shorts instead of your usual hoodie and sweats. You tried to cover your arms, but it didnât work.
Jinu walked up to you and grabbed your arm. He pulled it up to him. âI donât think you should have to hide your marks around us. Weâre all worried about you, you know?â You nodded. âIâve just been busy with your schedule and itâs stressing me out.â He sighed. âYou shouldâve told us, told me.â Your eyes went wide. You didnât think heâd care that much.
âCome on, I know what can cheer you up.â He took your other hand and made you stand up. Then before you knew it, he had teleported the both of you to a small park. âWhatâs this?â He looked down at you and smiled. âThis is a place I like to go to whenever Iâm upset. I thought youâd like it too.â You smiled at his genuine expression.
The two of you talked nearly all night. Youâve never had this much fun with someone. Being stuck in another realm made everything here so exciting and new. You never wanted to leave.
~~~
Gwi Ma soon learned about your somewhat fail at being a spy, but was content with you being a manager. You all learned about the final performance, the one that this whole process was specifically for.
You all prepared strategically. You made sure the boys got into a fight that would make sure they didnât perform at the idol awards so you could ruin the Huntrix performance. This made sure of a breakup between the group, and now the Saja Boys will swoop in like they were the heroâs.
You decided to go look for Jinu once the girls began to fight. Thatâs when you saw him and Rumi together again. You overheard her yell about how what they had was real. So basically all the late night talks and hang outs the two of you had meant absolutely nothing to him?
You ran off quickly. To take your mind off of it, you met with Gwi Ma to prepare for the upcoming performance.
~~~
The announcement was made not too long after. You made sure to take a first row seat. Soon enough, everything flooded in, you even noticed two of the Huntrix members.
The performance was amazing, it seemed to be working. Honestly, you thought they all looked amazing, but Jinu really caught your eye.
But then you heard it. Her voice. You whipped your head around and saw her, Rumi. You looked back at Jinu who was staring at her, but his demon eyes were gone. Just then, Gwi Ma got mad, and before you knew it, the rest of the boys and Huntrix all began to fight. First it was just demons in all directions while Rumi tried to fight Gwi Ma. But he was too strong.
You watched as Jinu tried to step it, but you couldnât let that happen. You pushed him away and used yourself to block Gwi Ma. You used your self as a sacrifice. Jinu fell on top of Rumi before he swiftly got up and stared at you. Not only him, the rest of the members too. âY/n..?â You heard Mystery speak up. It was one of the rare moments he said your name, and all you could do was smile at him with tears in your eyes.
You looked back at Jinu. âJ-Jinu, Iâm sorry. I couldnât watch you..die. You two need each other. I loved you Jinu, but youâre not mine.â Just then, the flame started to burn you, and you started to slowly flicker away. Everyoneâs eyes were on you, and all you did was smile as tears fell. It didnât hurt as bad as you thought, you guessed it was because you knew you did the right thing.
And then you were gone.
They couldnât believe what you had done. You cared deeply for them, they cared for you. All the memories created together made them feel alive all over again. With you, Gwi Ma was no longer in their heads. It was just you.
They all took your sacrifice as a chance to escape, so they did. They all went back to the apartment. They all wanted to make sure of one thing, and then theyâd return to Gwi Ma even if it meant full eternity in the demon realm.
They all went to your room and opened your desk drawer. Inside was still the shirt they left for you. The shirt that read: The best Saja Boys manager! You had never seen it. You were too busy helping them to notice it.
You didnât want to die, you wanted to explore the world more. But you wouldâve died for any of them without any hesitation.
This whole thing was just a joke to you at first, but once you got to know them, and become their friend, you realized you cared about them deeply. But now youâre gone and all they can do is grief in hell for all eternity.

a/n: the end is rushed I got kind of bored and didnât know how to end it, so whoopsies
warnings: angst, hurt, no comfort, second option, unrequited love
summ: y/n has feelings for muichiro, however he doesnât know about them. theyâre good friends who grew up together, she doesnât want to risk their relationship, so she keeps quiet. she soon realizes she missed her shot and watches quietly as he slowly forgets her.
modern au + theyâre like 16+ :3
Youâve hidden your feelings from your best friend for 8 years. Every waking moment youâre thinking of him. You love absolutely everything about him. His smile, his hair, his smell, his personality, I mean you could go on and on. But the problem was, he didnât know. You wanted to keep it that way, for now at least.
You were the complete opposite of Muichiro. He was more laid back and quiet, while you were loud and open. Somehow the two of you complimented each other well. You were inseparable. You two did everything together such as, walking to school together, sleeping over at each otherâs houses, sharing food and drinks, etc. The list could continue on.
~~~
This particular day, Muichiro slept over. Neither one of your parents cared, you two grew up together so it wasnât weird or out of the ordinary. You were playing with your cat while you waited for Muichiro to shower. It didnât take long for him to come back, but you didnât expect him to come back shirtless. He had on his usual pajama pants, and he had already dried his hair. But for the first time he had put it up into a ponytail, and walked in without a shirt.
You quickly became a blushing mess, scrambling your hands in front of your face. He gave you a confused look. âUm, what are you doing?â You slowly brought your hands down and frowned as you had embarrassed yourself. âUm, Iâve just never seen you without a shirt.â You heard him huff out a laugh before joining you on your bed. âMy hair soaked it, so I had to throw it in the dryer.â You could feel him get comfortable as you still sat on the edge of your bed. Somehow, you blushed even more.
âHey! Donât you want the spare mattress..?â You quickly stood up to go grab it, but thatâs when you felt a hand grab your wrist. You swiftly turned around only to be met with two big, blue eyes. âItâs late, I can sleep here just once.â Your eyes darted everywhere but him before you finally agreed. He slowly pulled you back into your bed and got comfortable again.
As you lay there you couldnât sleep. You were hyper aware of the shirtless boy beside you, and not just any boy, it was your crush.
~~~
You donât exactly remember when you fell asleep, but the clock reading 10:04AM said it was very late. You groaned as you slowly sat up. You looked around your room before your eyes went back to the other spot in your bed. You slowly reached down to the empty spot and swirled your hand around. Suddenly your door opened and you withdrew your hand. Muichiro walked in with a plate in hand. âOh youâre finally awake. I have your breakfast.â He moved towards you and put it on your nightstand. You watched intently. âThank you.â He gave you a smile before clapping his hands. âI have to go now, I have to help my mom with some errands today. So bye Y/n!â He grabbed his things and left.
You sighed deeply and just fell back. You could still smell his scent in your bed. You had to tell him soon.
~~~
It had been three days since you seen Muichiro, and now it was Monday. You met him at the usual spot you did. The two of you talked all the way to school before you finally split for the day.
Nothing unusual happened for a while, it was just the same. Except it felt like Muichiro was teasing you more and more and your feelings grew more than ever. But then she came.
It was a normal morning walk to school, but that was until Muichiro accidentally bumped into this girl. You had never seen her before, and she honestly looked new. You watched their interaction and saw how his eyes lit up differently around her. He even offered to walk her to school. So now, it was the three of you, or well you thought. You had stopped to readjust your shoe, but when you looked up they had left you behind, not even checking for you.
Sadness washed over you like a tsunami. You didnât want to go to school now, but you had to. You arrived to school later than usual, but not late. And the day went by slowly. Finally it was time to meet Muichiro to walk home, except he wasnât there.
You thought it was just a one time thing, so you let it go. That was until it happened every day and he slowly stopped showing up to walk with you in general. He still came over, but it was rare. You felt awful, your one and only best friend was just gone, and he acted like you didnât exist.
~~~
After a week of this, you texted him.
Y/n: Hey! Are you busy? I want you to come over.
Twenty minutes went by before you got a response from him.
Muichiro: I can swing by on my way home. Iâm hanging out with Mira right now.
You werenât even surprised he was with her. You decided to just clean your house while you waited for him.
It had been 3 hours since you texted him, but he finally showed up. He, of course, let himself in and made his way up to your room. You were lying in bed, scrolling on your phone, when he walked in. You nearly jumped out of your clothes until you realized it was him. âOh hey!â You sat your phone down and raised up as he made his way to your bed. âHey. Why did you want me to come?â You forced a smile on your face as you could hear the impatience in his voice.
âI just wanted to talk about something, or well tell you something.â He nodded, encouraging you to continue. You took a deep breath before talking. âMuichiro, youâre my best friend, and I donât want anything to change,â You looked him in the eyes before continuing, âum..well, I like you. I have for years.â Tears formed in your eyes as you already knew his answer. His face remained unreadable. âIâm sorry Y/n, but I only see you as a friend. Plus I like Mira.â Ah yes, he twisted the knife. You held back your tears as you watched him leave, and once you heard the front door close, you broke.
What hurt even more, is that the following days he never contacted you, instead you received a âhey girly..â message from who you suspected was Mira. After that, you realized he blocked you on everything. You sobbed for weeks after that. You watched your best friend leave you for a girl heâs known for a month. Your mom even let you go homeschooled for the remainder of the year, and not once did he bother to check up on you.
You would see the two of them out and about, doing things the two of you would do. It hurt. You never even dated him, but it hurt worse than any kind of heartbreak. You had yearned for him for years, waiting for the chance. And now it was gone, and so was he.
~~~
6 years had passed by since everything happened. You just graduated from university. You had slowly came to accept his decisions, and you never talked to him again. You had returned home after being away for years. It was bittersweet. You remembered everything that happened in that house. But it was all in the past. For good now. You just hoped you didnât run into him again.
Unfortunately, just after three days of returning, you saw him. You were grocery shopping for your mother, and thatâs when you saw him across the aisle. You nearly had a panic attack. You just prayed he didnât see you, but unfortunately he did. And unsurprisingly, he was with her still. He came up to you with her in hand. âHey Y/n! Long time no see.â He grinned from ear to ear while you sat there suffering. You forced a smile. âY-yeah! How have you two been..?â You watched as she gave you a sly smile before smiling innocently at him. âWeâve been great! Weâre engaged now and getting married in 2 months.â Yeah, this was when the knife was twisted. All the memories came back, the feelings that never left but you stuffed away came back. âWow, thatâs..great!â Before he could reply, she did. âI know right? I mean my Mui planned the perfect proposal. But thatâs not surprising is it?â She waved her hand in front of your face to flaunt her ring. But at that, you had to leave so you quickly said goodbye and left. But not without an invitation to that wedding.
You pondered for a month if you wanted to go or not, but you decided to before you left for good. the wedding came up faster than you expected. And you couldnât deny that it was beautiful. It just felt like a punch to the gut.
It was finally the part you least wanted to see. The kiss to make everything official. They said their âI doâsâ and kissed. You couldnât deny you wish it was you up there. You cried, not from happiness, but from envy. You also clapped because you were happy for your friend.
At the reception, you were talking to the newlyweds. And to your surprise the truth came out. âOh my gosh! Mui, remember when you had blocked Y/n?!â Mira began to laugh when he cut her off. âI blocked her? I donât remember that..?â Her laughter slowed. She gave you a look. âHeh..of course you did hunny!â She then looked at you a scoffed. âHe is just so forgetful!â But you paid no attention to that. She made him block you, or maybe she blocked you on his phone. It didnât matter now. It was too late.
During the conversation, someone pulled her away and it was now the two of you. âIâve missed you, you know?â You looked up at him in shock. âY-you did?â He smiled and nodded. âOf course, youâre my best friend.â Of course, thatâs all youâve been. After talking for a bit, you decided to break the news. âMuichiro, Iâm moving in two weeks.â He congratulated you. âWhere are you moving?â You looked at the ground and sighed. âThe states..â His eyes went wide and his mouth opened but nothing came out. And maybe that was a good thing. You took that as your leave, until he pulled you back for a hug and slid you a note with his number.
You werenât going to call him. You couldnât.
~~~
It had been 5 years since then. You never contacted him, but you seen his social media posts. He now had a kid with her. You never stopped loving him, you still did. He was the one for you, but you werenât the one for him:
ok guys, I need opinions. Iâm currently backpack shopping (đ) and I think I found the perfect one, BUTTTTT idk if I should get it or not bc idk if it would look dumb or not. đ
Thatâs her in all her glory. PLEASE TELL ME IF ITS DUMB OR NOT!!!

whew, itâs been a while since I wrote angst! But thanks for the request ^^

muichiro x reader
warnings: death, injuries, blood mention, angst, comfort at end
~~~
A crow flew overhead cawing. âUppermoon 1 has been defeated!â Hearing those words you broke down. It was a long fight, and you were exhausted. You looked over through your tears and saw Muichiro lying in the distance.
A gasp left your mouth. You scrambled over to him as fast as you could. âOh god..â Seeing his body in this condition made you want to sob. You knew he wasnât going to make it out of this alive. You sat his head on your lap gently, rubbing his head and moving hair out of his face. His breathing was jagged and slow.
âOh Muichiro..you poor thing.â You couldnât help your tears now. As you cried you felt him shake his head ever so slightly. You wiped away your tears quickly. You saw the barely-visible smile on his face. âDonât..cry Y/n,â He paused momentarily, âyou must continue..fighting.â He coughed and blood gushed out. You gasped again as tears welled up in your eyes again. He let out one last deep breath. âI love you Y/n.â And with that, he was gone.
You sobbed uncontrollably, you felt as if you couldnât breathe anymore. However, you knew you had to continue your duties. Your injuries werenât nearly as fatal as his, you had more fight in you. Before you left you placed a small kiss to his head and promised him you would find him again.
~~~
You made your way to the others in hopes of defeating Muzan. It wasnât easy by any means, in fact it felt nearly impossible.
It was hard to dodge his attacks as you watched many of the people you trained with die one by one. You held your ground though, slicing through whatever you could. âWe just have to hold on till sunrise!â You heard someone yell, sunrise wasnât until another 45 minutes.
The guilt you felt in your heart was still heavy, but you wanted to avenge Muichiro. You were so exhausted. But then it happened. Your moves were too slow, too sluggish. And you were struck in the chest. It pierced your lungs and suddenly they were full of blood.
Someone carried you out of the battle and laid you off to the side. Your vision was blurry, you couldnât make out the face. But you had one request before you passed. âP-please, bury me with Muichiro..I promised him.â You heard the person sigh. âIâm sorry Miss Y/n. The castle was destroyed along with everything in it.â You tried to gasp, but you couldnât. Blood filled your throat quickly as tears poured down your face.
Suddenly you couldnât breathe anymore. You accepted your fate. You broke your promise to Muichiro, but you still had hope you would meet him in another life. You stopped breathing just as the sun began to rise, tears still coated your face.
Extra: present day
You were walking to the train station to catch the next train to Tokyo. Suddenly, you heard someone calling out for you. âExcuse me, Miss! You paused as you turned towards the person.
He was holding up a small keychain. He sighed, âThank goodness you stopped, Iâve been calling after you for a while now.â You didnât care for the keychain that fell off your purse. You just stared at the black and blue haired boy. Confused by your lack of thanks, he looked up at you. And thatâs when his eyes went wide.
âUm, do I know you?â You shook your head ânoâ. âI donât think so, but I feel oddly familiar with you.â He nodded and agreed. âIâm Muichiro, and you?â Instead of replying, you started crying. He looked at you with wide eyes as he tried to comfort you. âOh my gosh! Are you okay?â You gave him a soft smile as you wiped away your tears. âYes, Iâm okay. I donât know what came over me. Iâm Y/n.â He let out a breath he didnât even know he was holding. The odd familiarity the two of you shared was emotional for both of you.
The two of you stood there in silence before you spoke up. âU-um, Iâm headed to Tokyo right now, when I get back do you maybe want to meet for coffee?â He smiled. âSure. Hereâs my number.â He scribbled his number on a random piece of paper and gave it to you. âIâll call you later ok?â He nodded. You didnât want to part ways, but you had 5 minutes before the train left. You waved at him as you began walking again, and in your heart you felt like a weight had been taken off your shoulders.
~~~
Muichiro often followed you around wherever you went. Training? He was there watching closely. Checkup at the butterfly mansion? He stood outside of your room. A random town? He followed to keep you âsafeâ. You didnât mind it however, in fact you found it adorable.
You and Muichiro were the same age. Everyone thought thatâs why he tagged along with you, but that wasnât the case. Muichiro realized his heart beat faster and he felt nervous when he was around you. He grew protective over you despite you being just as strong as him.
~~~
Today was no different. You were doing your usual training, and as usual, Muichiro was watching. Today however, you could feel Muichiroâs eyes on you. Heavily at that.
Muichiro was mesmerized by the way you gracefully practiced your breathing forms. He barely noticed how his heart started beating faster. It felt, normal. He watched you wipe the sweat off your face with your sleeve, and for some reason that flustered him.
You glanced over at him and saw how red his face was. You sighed as you decided you had trained enough for the day and walked towards him. His face grew redder and his heart beat faster. You smiled softly at him as you sat next to him under the big shade tree.
He couldnât return the gesture, he was too flustered. Despite just getting done with training, you were still so effortlessly beautiful. He noticed how you let out a big sigh. He glanced over at you and saw your head tipped up and your eyes closed.
The cool breeze blew around the two of you. Birds chirped peacefully. The comfortable silence suddenly grew uncomfortable for him. He looked over at you, and just stared. You could feel his eyes on you. You huffed out a soft laugh.
You turned your head towards him. âSo are you going to keep staring at me, or do you have something to say?â A sly smile crept upon your face as you watched him look away instantly. âI-I..uh,â He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, âI do have something to say.â
The smile slowly left your face as you stared at him with a shocked expression. But you nodded. âOk..what is it?â He looked up at you. âLook I..â he paused for a moment, âI like you.â Muichiroâs face grew red again, and this time so did yours. Your mouth hung wide. Before it curled into a smile. You reached for his hands, and held them up to you.
âI feel the same Muichiro.â He smiled before breaking out into a laugh. âThank you Y/n. I really appreciate that.â Suddenly to your shock, he pulled you into a hug. He held you there for a moment before pulling away. You both smiled at one another, trying to suppress your excitement.
Now it made sense why he followed you around like a dog. A cute dog at that, so you werenât complaining!
~~~
I finally posted. Letâs see how long it will take before I post another one ;3
