yup! birth control did not work for me. at all! it messed up my cycle. my hormones was a mess i was a whole mess. and the fact that my doctor was (still is) pushing me to be on it. told them point blank it’s my body. i don’t want that in me.

Except birth control is not like milk. Birth control has harmful side effects for pretty much all of its users to some degree. More people have some king of a negative side effect than not, and if they’re one of they lucky few to but experience any of the laundry list of side effects from BC, then they’ll go through hell when they want to come off it. As women, we tend to just accept those side effects as a necessary evil. It’s really not just “some people are lactose intolerant” tho, birth control is underdeveloped and it’s side effects are not addressed due to the audience that needs them being all women.

So I think it’s understandable why people have misgivings about using any of the firms of BC when most people have at least some kind of reaction to it

There are several types of birth control, even non-hormonal. The IUDs Kylena amd Mireena are non-hormonal. Learned that one the hard way, because without hormones I create large as cysts on my ovaries! And because of my year with the IUD I am now having surgery for lasting chronic pain from the cysts.
