There’s a lot of really nice features on this new app. I can’t complain too much about it. Even if it’s just looking around on it, there’s plenty to keep me occupied. For awhile.

Movies… god, the last movie I saw I think was the It remake, which I was obsessed with for a little while. Definitely one of the better horror revivals lately. Besides that, I don’t even know what’s out right now besides The Last Jedi and I promised my dad I’d wait to see that with him when I can come visit.

Gotta love that period in time when you have to adjust to new apps. But it’s good that it’s something to keep you busy for a while. 

I remember seeing that with a friend of mine, I couldn’t let go of her arm throughout the entire movie and yet, I couldn’t keep my eyes away. It’s pretty decent for a revival for sure. Talk about a committed guy, waiting to go and see that movie with your dad. It’s difficult enough to avoid spoilers these days.

There’s always room for more surprises. One’s gotta keep an open mind and great flexibility when it comes to these things. I’m contemplating on a zoo trip soon, there’s a new exhibit making a debut that I think she’d enjoy. Books can certainly be relaxing.

I think it’s the perfect place to tend to those; I mean, even outside of the parties, I’ve made some decent friends during my time here - and hopefully, one day, I can even find someone worth committing to longer term.

You got it, babe. My dad tends to tell me about the parties about three weeks in advance, but it’s award season so name any major award night and there’s definitely some after parties we can swing by. I attend most of them, unless I have a show with the band, so just let me know!

It’s something that I’m certainly looking forward to as well. Some day, perhaps that special person worth committing to will show up, you never know. 

Sounds like we have a few options to look into. How about the next showing to grace our television screens with? I’m convinced that I can get the time off for that so we can enjoy each other’s company.

Well, she’s not mine, but I do look after her and get to spend a lot of time with her. I’m her nanny. She’s three years old, soon to be four. A play date, huh? How old is your child?

Glad to get that cleared up. Because sometimes people get weirded out if you ask “how long have you had her?” when referring to a kid. Like, it’s asking the same question but the phrasing makes it strange. But congratulations; you don’t meet too many people who genuinely seem to love their job involving kids. I think they’re cute and one day I’m sure I’ll have my own, but constantly dealing with another person’s kid seems exhausting to me.

No, I totally get where you’re coming from. I can’t tell you the number of times that I have been mistakenly asked that question prior. It’s all worth it, seeing that little beauty’s face light up whenever I walk into her home, it’s certainly priceless. But there are days where I need to relax. And here we are. Relaxing.

Why that greatly depends on who it is you’re asking. I’d like to believe myself to be a bit of a switch, dependent upon who my partner is. I feel as though I lean more towards the submissive side of things but can also be quite the dom should the scenario call for it. Are you interested in finding out?

My nanny was probably about your age when she started with my family, and I do still talk to her; granted, it’s not the same now as it was when I was younger, but she was a real saint when I was debating continuing with Broadway. She had the outsiders perspective while also knowing my family and me well enough to help give me some real advice, and not just tell me what she wanted, or what she thought I wanted. 

But you definitely do need to get out and have fun - after all, you’re only in your 20s once, and you don’t want to look back and realize you spent them all chasing a toddler. 

Well, I don’t frequent their parties that much anymore, but the next time I go you can always come as my date. You just have to swear yourself to secrecy and/or sign a non-disclosure agreement, but since I met you here something tells me you’re more than capable of keeping things hush hush.

It sounds like you had yourself a really nice nanny. Talk about some real goals to look up to and try my best to be. Well, you got me, part of the reason why I’m part of this is to ensure that I tend to...well, my young adult necessities. 

You’ll have to keep me posted, to ensure that it’ll fit with my own schedule. But I would be honored to be your date whenever the chance rises. Not to worry, I’ll do whatever it takes. I know a thing or two about remaining hush hush.

Please don’t smack me if I’m wrong but it sounds like someone might be getting a … CHILD?! Or a dog? And if it’s neither of those things, I’m really bad at this game. If so, congratulations, that’s amazing! My night has been pretty quiet thankfully now that I’ve got past that sugar coma hump that comes with injecting one too many cupcakes past your limit. It’s going to be a resounding, and unbelievably not dull night of Netflix and IRL Masterchef.  

Do you want to know something that’s super hilarious? You’re not the first person to assume that I’m talking about a pet. It’s about a child who I look after. Not that I’m trying to brag too much but she is the absolute cutest in my line of work. Well, well. I dare say that you’ve had quite the adventurous night it sounds like. Ooo, you have yourself an excellent choice in Netflix shows.

I bet she’s cute; I had a nanny when I was little, and she was like my best friend growing up while my fathers were too busy to actually take care of me. You have an incredible role in her life - it’s good that you enjoy it.

I mean, I always deserve it, but I managed to control myself and wait until the after party to let myself get a little crazy. I have to admit, I did miss the non-sanctioned after parties; no one lets loose like a group of uptight Broadway stars.

That’s what I’m hoping to be with my little princess. A best friend who she can depend on whenever she needs a girlfriend to gab to. I know it isn’t the same as like...an actual older girlfriend to gossip with but it’s still special and much needed all the same. As tiring as it can be, it’s also nice to remember your youth and just have fun. 

What I wouldn’t give to have one chance to see something of the sort. I’m jealous.

Well, I’m here, so you can add one interest to the board. 

The problem is that most of my interests are either highly physical or completely lazy. We’re talking HIIT workout followed by 8 hours on the couch with my dog. And I cook but that’s not really something I can do to distract myself since I live alone.

There’s a good start. It’s better than truly having nothing to keep you distracted. 

Ah, I can certainly see where that could be a struggle. Have you seen any good movies lately? Perhaps going out and doing something like that here and there could help you pass the time a bit. You’re walking around so you’re being active, but you still get the laziness of relaxing in a movie theater and seeing something that could potentially become your newest fave.

Well, my natural instinct was to flip my lid, and throw the scalding coffee in her incompetent face, but new year, new me and all that crap. I’m trying to be a nicer person, even if Starbucks employees keep trying to send me into anaphylactic shock.

Consider this me giving you my strongest of kudos. Then again, I’d more than likely would have done the same thing. But after one too many times, you just gotta finally put that foot of yours down. Here’s hoping they don’t make that same mistake again. And that you can continue carrying out your new years resolution. I’d hate to be the person to force you to break it.

If anyone ends up drinking too much, it’ll be me. I don’t have to hide the champagne in my hands anymore, which is more than I can say for those who have to go and perform tomorrow night. More like they can babysit me - a task that, admittedly, some of them did used to do.

Her name is Olivia and we’ve been a pair for just over a year and a half now. Time certainly does fly. 

Then live a little and truly treat yourself. It sounds like you really deserve it. I’m convinced that people would certainly understand, that you deserve a drink.

Are you referring to children? Aren’t you terrified of them? Right now I’m enjoying a glass of champagne while I’m lounging around in one of my favorite robes. Waiting for my telenovela to come on.

Not in the slightest. Besides, unless it's one of the days where I have to take her to her scheduled play dates, she's usually the only child that I'm around. Makes it a tad bit easier when it isn't an army of kids coming your way. Now that sounds relaxing.

That sounds cute; I, personally, could never imagine the challenge of being in charge of someone else’s child, so you must be incredibly exhausted when you get your free time.

Personally, I’m being dragged to a Dark Party tonight from my fathers producing company; lots of Broadway stars pretending not to drink on their one night off and people asking when I’m coming back. I’d almost rather be babysitting.

As much as I enjoy spending my time with her, it's certainly exhausting so you could totally say that's how I feel on my off days. But that's fine. It pays well. Plus I get to bond with such a little delight.

If they end up drinking too much, you could practically claim that you are babysitting. Drunk adults are essentially toddlers depending on what type of drunk they are. Still sounds interesting all the same.
