Exquisite Ceramic Mugs Inspired by Crystals

Seattle-based artist Katie Marks has acquired a passionate admiration for all aesthete in the world with her collection of otherworldly ceramics. Marks has transformed the ordinary used and function of a coffee mug into a sculptural piece of art, fit for display. Inspired by the iridescent colors and jagged edges of the most beautiful minerals in the world, Marks’ pieces almost make us feel far too unfit to raise her designs to our lips. Each design is far too pristine to use.

Her dazzling creations are striking, elegant, yet rustic. Armed with her pottery skills and imagination, Marks successfully withdraws inspiration from the galaxies and earth’s finest rocks.
