When I was 18, I had a hard time switching from "trans boy" to "trans man" to label myself. Even now, 9 years later, I still prefer "boy" to "man" and I'm not sure why. It feels like they're different masculine genders of the same category, like how light green and dark green are both green but different. It just feels odd to call myself a boy at my age, but calling myself a man actually makes me somewhat dysphoric (I'm also nonbinary so maybe that's why?) Am I the only one like this?
