stan and kyle dating after college living together in an apartment and they decide to take a week off to go on a cruise together from seattle to alaska. it’s mostly retired people and families they’re the only young gay couple. stan throws up a lot the first two days and gets really upset about it thinking he’s ruining the whole thing but kyle just kisses his cheek when he comes back from the deck and says it’s okay. stan likes hugging kyles waist when they’re wearing the down jackets they bought from walmart just for the trip because he looks all cozy and marshmallowy. there’s not much to do on the days they don’t dock like they kind of didn’t think about the fact that neither of them are big on the on-ship activities like it’s too cold for the pool deck and the performances are kinda gay so they spend a lot of time playing cards and ping pong and sucking each other off in the room. and off the coast of juneau they see whales of course. and when they dock they go on a hike and go fishing for salmon which kyle is really good at and stan thinks its kinda sexy watching him because he gets so concentrated. and every time they go on a group hiking tour they purposefully stray at the back so they can push each other up against trees and kiss quickly before anyone sees and then they run to catch up laughing like they’re in high school and after a long day they’re back on the ship eating the shitty buffet food in tired out silence just looking into each others eyes knowing that the other is thinking the same thing (kyle is thinking they have to come back in the summer. stan is thinking he wants to get married)
