No Rain | Shadow Preachers [ wip ]
haii it’s been a while I know ,, but I’m trying _:(´ཀ`」 ∠):
but anyways, here’s a concept sketch for their outfits when performing these songs + a little sneak peak of a sketch of a mini comic to go with it !! I haven’t established their story / timeline (or much of anything) on here yet so there’s not much context I can add but I’ll drop this lol:
when this arc/event happens, they’re in their “in love with each other but neither confess so they’re getting comfortable and intimate with each other but will still say that they’re just friends… and they end up basically dating without ever confessing for a while” phase (￣▽￣;)
scara is a lot more vulnerable around venti and is very comfortable with expressing his feelings/thoughts through music at this point; venti trusts scara in healthily expressing himself through his music so he encourages him to take over this project (with scara having doubts)
this arc/event surrounds this aus version of the fatui; freminet is highly relevant teehee ~

Composition_ VENTI: (song 1) instrumentals, composing, mixing, vocals ; (song 2) instrumentals ; (song 3) drums _SCARAMOUCHE: (song 2 + 3) guitar, composing, mixing, vocals, lyrics
Dance Party (1) | an experimental piece combining classical instruments into this newer rock genre; it’s an older song venti reworked to make into the opening for this event
Shadow Preachers (2) | about scaras mother and the missing / yearning he feels for her + his feelings of abandonment; he expresses his sadness overall
No Rain (3) | also about scaras mother but he expresses his anger and frustration of her (for abandonment and being the cause of his grief and despair; ie his first betrayal) and frustration towards himself for missing something he never had ( and about how “it shouldn’t make sense” for him to feel like that ); this song in particular is a final attempt and desperate cry for his mother to notice him ( to no avail :’3 )
fun(?) fact ! while singing No Rain, scara got unexpectedly more passionate and emotional while singing but venti matched the change in energy
this event is very formal, as it is hosted by the fatui and partnering parties btw ,, I didnt know where to add that lol
I think I’ll end the yapping here ,, hopefully I’ve established the story or timeline at least by the time I polish these designs and comic :3 !! I want to make solo character introductions in the near future too ,, it’ll probably help everything fall into place :>
