Hey, remember two years ago now (sweet jesus) when HBomberguy made the plaigarism video? You know the one. In the conclusion to that leviathan of an essay, HBomberguy made the prediction that A.I would become the next evolution of slop content, specifically in the video essay space. Well...

...he was right. He was right and we are in hell.

I found this channel after the video "Darth Truths: The AI Cult That Promises Eternal Life Online" came up on my recomended, and I clicked on it because I like content about cults. The video is entirely voiced by AI, all the images seem to be AI generated, and no sources are provided for any of it's claims. When they named the cult I looked up the name and found nothing, at which point I decided to stop giving them watch time and watch some human video essays.

But it's important to know that this is happening now, because as we've seen AI stuff starts horrifically obviously bad but gets better at a shocking rate. And to tie this back to James Somerton, there's precident for getting away with absolute dogshit content in the video essay space if you can keep up a steady upload pace and present yourself well. I say this as someone who fell for Somerton's grift thanks to friends who fell for Somerton's grift.

Watch out.

the next world swap!! this is riptide in deadwood. I have more of an idea for what the story would be with these guys.

I imagine Chip, Jay and Gillion would've had an investigation group as kids (just like UPP), but after highschool they kinda split up; Jay probably works a gas station job while saving for college, not taking any offers from her family to work down at the local police station.

Gillion was probably ALL IN on the school football team and sucked, but it was all he did so, now that he's graduated, he doesn't really know what he's supposed to do. Him and Chibo probably have just been spending their days playing videogames and scrounging up money for pot lowkey. Aurora works as a training nurse, dedicating her career to looking for a cure her mothers' illnesses. She was never friends with the gang in highschool but she knew about their investigation group. When she finds out that her mothers' ilnesses might be caused by something more supernatural, she brings them back together for one last investigation.

Do you have a favorite character that you've made/played??

lucia and norah are all timers. gigi is my favorite concept/design ive made, and im pretty happy with my performance. to be completely honest, a LOT of the stuff we've got in post production right now are some of my favorite performances. you'll have to wait to see those though :P
