Somehow, Kittan barely avoided getting blown to smithereens. How did he do it? Well, a kind stranger SOMEHOW managed to get him out of the blast radius before it could get him killed. He’s a bit ashamed of himself, given the circumstance for going there to begin with was to fight some stranger he’d never met or even SEEN or that matter...

He felt like a scolded child. “How was I supposed to know the damn place would explode?!”

Upon noticing the sudden gesture did Leo took a step back, there is no way he was going to get hurt by scaring someone off like that. Not that he was that stealthy.  

“Yea, I’m not the one who’s been snooping around the door.” An annoyed huff escaped his lips at the ‘pipsqueak’ comment, “Wait– Are you being serious? You don’t know what an automatic door is?? That’s because you’re supposed to enter inside, not just stand there.”

“An automatic door??” Kittan thought about it. He’s definitely seen an automatic door, and it was far more advanced than this one. It definitely didn’t beep, either.

“Sudden beeping isn’t a good thing! It usually means it’s warnin’ someone of somethin’! So why’s this door gotta beep??”

The boy spoke up and Kittan nearly lunged away at full speeds. Why was he so on edge? There’s nothing dangerous about a beeping door!

“Ya scared me half to death!! Don’t sneak up on people like that ya pipsqueak!!” His anger was loud, but more toward the door. “What’s up with this damn door?! It keeps beeping every time I open it! Is it a bomb?!”

He’s been standing at a door to some shop in sector 5, opening and closing the door, trying to figure out why or how it beeps.

Okay, so, Kittan didn’t know a whole lot about other villages. It was kind of infuriating that Jeeha had such a holiday while  Bachika was never really in the loop, but there was no point in getting angry about it.

“Tch! You know what I meant!” He defended himself. “Whatever! Just! Happy new year, moron!”

Kamina is all at once surprised, disappointed, and confused that all of the explosion sounds and lights in the sky were not apparently caused by an actual battle.

“Them’s fireworks! They’re pretty explosions set off in the sky when people’re celebratin’ something!” He could easily make fun of Kamina for not knowing what they were, but he never really thought he’d be standing next to him for fireworks to begin with. Now wasn’t the time.
