Maybe I’m just super gay, but the thing about this sapphic season of Bridgerton is that as a cis woman, I don’t understand why you’d be mad at seeing female pleasure on screen. I don’t get how you could watch a woman having an earth shattering pinnacle and be like “I hate this, it’s not for me” just because it’s another woman giving it to her. Can you not relate to the pleasure she’s receiving? This also goes for any girl who loves gay ships but doesn’t engage in lesbian content at all. What is actually so great about removing yourself from the equation entirely? Because you know these same girls saying they won’t be watching season five would be foaming at the mouth for Francis and Michael.

This is so random, but I feel like Bridgerton book purists came out of nowhere for season 5 of the show. Almost no season has been like the book and I can list the differences from each season. But Francesca and Michaela are the issue????

Trust me, they’ve been here (signed, a devout Show!Edwina fan who used to get into lots of fights because of book purists who only want Edwina when she’s witty and girl-bossy), but they’ve been on an uptick since the Michael gender switch because “it messes with their immersion”. Let’s face it: not all but many of them only tolerate diversity only if it serves their underlying fetish. Like I swear, Bridgerton book purists are the worst. The book lineup is mediocre at best, but they act like the show runners are messing with the sacred texts.

I think bridgerton should do the funny thing and kill Philip and make Eloise realize she likes girls after Fran paves the way. Use the fact that Marina isn't a Bridgerton cousin and piss off all the homophobes. I think that would be awesome. Eloise doesn't believe in marriage, she doesn't like kids, like, how do you make her book work on the show fr? Make her gay. 3 out of 7 being queer would be a nice number.
