Is it just about the crime in Braedon? Or crime anywhere? Because that’ll make a difference to the title. 

What crime in Braedon? The only thing we’ve had happen is Natasha, other than that it’s all drunk driving and teens cooking meth because they’re bored.

It’s true crime of all kinds; past, present, future - murders, kidnappings, great unsolved mysteries and some of the craziest solved stories too. I’ve been listening to podcasts and watching iDiscovery for years - I can come up with enough material for at least a year for this sort of blog.

At the very least, it can help bulster up my resume and show that even when I’m between jobs, I’m going to keep busy and keep digging. Who knows, maybe I’ll be the one to uncover Jon Benet’s real killer - though I think we all know it was her brother at this point.

You want me to critique your masterpiece? Exactly how well do you handle constructive criticism because honestly everybody says they’re all fine with it, but when I give them my honest opinion on all the ways something sucks they’re not so open.

There’s too many Jacobson’s in the world. If I was going to make my name the blog title, I would use Yale - at least that’s unique, if not shared with a prestigious Ivy, which would only help my viewership originally anyways.

I can handle it. I’ve been creamed and torn down by middle aged men long enough that I think your critique would be more than welcome.

the new blog is almost set up.

All I need now is a catchy name - everything I’ve been coming up with is crazy corny. It’ll take awhile before it gets enough hits to be a money maker, but at least it’ll keep me busy while I debate the merits of staying in Braedon versus going literally anywhere else. 

Once it’s up and running with the first article - a special about Natasha, of course - I’ll be sure to pass out the link to anyone interested. And even those not interested - honestly, in the internet game, all anyone cares about is hits, and in order to get some revenue and backing I’ll need a lot of hits.

Christmas costumes, Mrs. Claus, Santa’s elves, they’re super cute. Children are less freaky than half the patrons that frequent Misery - unless you’re looking to get touched up by drunk old timers?

I didn’t honestly think you’d want one. The house is still all Hanukkah’d up, and I figured you’d leave that up til the New Year despite the celebration being over. But if you want a tree, we can go get a tree. 

I mean, I do need a Mrs. Claus costume, but that’s for private matters. And definitely not children appropriate. They’re always loud and sticky, Col - you and the girls were about the only kids I’ve ever been able to tolerate since I was a kid. Do you really want me to do this?

There’s a fine line between fun and sacrilegious. Those are words I never thought I’d hear you say…are you serious? Are you sure you’d handle full time Braedon?

It’s fun for me. Besides, you two already bicker like siblings, so I’m not worried about objectification from either end anymore.

I wouldn’t stay forever. Just temporarily. Open up my search for a new job and stop paying for an apartment I’m not even using anyways. The house is free, we’ve got money from the insurance policy and I had some built up anyways. I should be okay for a couple months max while I look for something and figure out what the next move is.

What kind of costumes? I’d rather dress up and stand outside of Misery or even the diner for customers than be around kids. You know how much they freak me out. None yet, but I didn’t expect any right out of the gate. I’ve got some time, for now.

People like Natasha don’t deserve to be forgotten about. Maybe that could be the blog. Making sure people don’t forget.

I would, and I like creative writing, but at a paper you get into a lot more doorways than you do when you’re freelance. I can get by for awhile and take some time to figure out if I want to dive back in or try something new, but I’ve been making up fake investigative reports since I was like five.

A true crime blog - complete with articles about Natasha - isn’t a bad idea. It combines two of my favorite interests, at least, and I could travel some, do some research on my own for crazy cases. Maybe get my own TV show one day from it.

Poor guy, I’m starting to think I need to ease up on him a little, he really does have a huge chance of going grey earlier in life than expected. I’m not sure the words “less” and “complicated” quite suit your disposition. So did you wear white? Who gave you away? Why’d you get in touch with your shiksa side and opt for a church? I have so many questions right now.

I don’t think he’s going grey just yet. Besides, maybe it would just make him hotter. Make it hotter when I call him ‘daddy’ at any rate. 

I wore a white gown, yes, and I’m sure I have pictures somewhere that I can grab the next time I go back to Chicago. Might just go and pack up my apartment at this rate, move to Braedon until I figure out my next move. It was easier to go to a church - plus, it was super gorgeous and going somewhere that neither of us practice a religion for sounded fun.

It’s fine. It’s not the first time I’ve been let go, but it’s usually because the paper was collapsing in on itself. Maybe it’s time to let go of print and throw myself into the digital age.

I always need help at the gym if you need a part-time job or something while you’re looking. Or you can report about my gym but it can only be good things cause I don’t need any negative reporting happening. Membership’s as steady as it can be right now.

I’m sure there’s some gym blog just dying to know all about your place, which I can definitely look into to help you out and also keep my name going out there. We can have a whole exclusive on how you started and turned into such a success. 

I’ll keep the job offer in mind. I don’t know if this will keep me here or push me out quicker - I’ve been sending my resume out, but no bites so far. Might just be worth it to wear cute yoga pants and keep busy, to be honest.

I, for one, am super excited for this year’s winter festival if only because this is the first year I don’t have to sneak around like some kind of bandit in the night to enjoy everything there is on offer.

If I learned anything from moving to a big city, it’s that small towns are really clueless. Everyone thinks they know everything, but how many of them can say they knew what Halpert was doing? And if they did, why didn’t they fucking do anything to help those girls? It’s bullshit - but try and talk sense into any native who only has half a brain and you’ll be shunned.
