A short story I created for Campfire, a collaborative zine we are putting together. It’s going to be printed in risograph format. Can’t wait to see the result.
Sketch
Editorial illustrations done for Wissen Magazine. The article’s about driverless cars.
Some illustration pieces I did for a soccer-theme art show in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
A piece inspired by Hesse’s novel Siddhartha. Trying to depict the moment where Siddhartha finds his own enlightenment.
Illustrations done for Johns Hopkins Health Magazine. The article was PUT THE ‘PH’ BACK IN PHD.

This is a personal piece talking about the situation between the ordinaries and the talented ones -- while the ordinaries seek for the magic, the special one wants to step off the lonely island.

I was trying to discuss the way people see things by exchanging the positions they usually have, Eastern versus Western, modern versus historical. I was also trying to bring some sense of humor to a serious topic. In this piece, for example, a samurai is checking out the lives of modern people instead of us checking out the samurais.

We have a show in the library called "Best Dressed", and this piece was what I did for it. Under dictatorship, people usually wear the same mindset as their 'uniform' -- sometimes it is not because the dictators make them do so, but themselves, voluntarily get rid of the 'dangerous knowledge' only to be able to protect themselves and thus, survive. There is an old saying in Chinese:" one palm does not make any sound". In another word, to make a sound, we will need two of them work at the same time.
"Otaku" Collaboration with Zach Collins / 2014
(http://zachcollinsart.tumblr.com/).
Started by ZC, finished by me.
It was a really interesting project for me. I have never cooperated with a collage artist before. So it was very new to me. As far as I know, Zach was a designer, and then he decided his mind to make collages.
Instead of inventing a new composition by myself, I already had his structure this time, which I think it a good way to jump out of my own comfort zone of working and thinking. It is always a good experience to work with people from different fields as opposed to burying myself into my own ways of working. I would definitely try more of these in the future.
