Live report of 31st July USSS Budoukan 5th Anniversary Live
I had so much fun!! USSS lives are kinda known for being super high tension but time seriously passed so quickly, it didnt feel like 3 hours of shouting and waving at ALL -and a two-day live at the Budoukan!? I’m so so proud of my boys w
It’s such a big venue, and even though the queue for goods before the concert were huge, most of the waiting lines were shaded and I got everything I wanted in less than 2 hours!
My seat was on the 1st Floor (there was Ground, 1st and a 2nd), E (East) 45 (Fifth row!) so I had a really good view! The stage is 360° so there were people all around! The Budoukan is supposed to fit almost 15,000 people it was insane w
There were four screens facing outwards in the centre that played live camera footage, MVs and the VTRs
Hahh I wish it never ended but I hope yall enjoy this summary! I might’ve gotten details mixed up or forgotten some parts but I’ll try my best!
First was a short VTR, introducing UraShimaSakataSen as space explorers -they had a cheesy scene where each of them were rotated on a pedestal and their stats were shown on graphs -the text passed so fast i literally can only remember one thing and that was that on senra’s graph, ‘chest hair power’ was maxed out wwwww
They came up onto the stage in four trap lifts, and the crowd went FUCKING WILD it was so cool to see thousands of light sticks moving the same way, and an entire hall going HOI HOI HOI for my boys wwww

The harmonies in this were so cool ww the audience did the 'pa-pa-paya’ and at one point Shima accidently sang Senra’s part and got scolded w
In the break Uratan said 'Maybe some people here don’t know who we are, friends and family forced to come along, so we should introduce ourselves’
and USSS went in turn 'ura’ really quietly, 'shima’ even quieter, 'sakabon’ or something 'SEN’ which made a bunch of us jump w
Sakatan tried to make us do a 360° mexican wave- DID NOT WORK w
Then they did that thing where they shout 'BOYS!’ and all the guys in the hall cheer and 'GIRLS!’ and all the girls cheer but between that some guy screamed 'SAKATAN’ and he did a spin and asked 'WHERE!? WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!?’ (a few seats down from me w) and said it made him happy ww
As soon as the intro started playing everyone cheered w we sang the HOI parts
You could really tell who went to the halloween live because they did the right dance moves ww but we all chimed in with the chorus w
Would it even be a usss live without saikyou rival wwww it was super fun
I can’t remember the exact words but it was a competition between UraSen and ShimaSaka to see who could eat 3 things from an oden pot the quickest -but using the other persons arms (do you get what I mean?)
First Sakatan was eating and Shima was behind him with his arms through Sakatans shirt, using chopsticks and a dipping sauce bowl w
He got a fishcake first I think and sakatan burnt himself when he tried to bite into it w When Shima tried to feed Sakatan a hot egg whole it was so funny I almost fell over w Uratan and Senra sneakily added mustard to the bowl and i think sakatan died a little wwwwww he had to drink water afterwards
Next was Senra eating using Uratans arms, he started by saying something like 'I wonder what I’ll have hmm,, maybe an egg -OR NOT,,,, maybe konyaku,,? who knows?’ as Uratan picked up the metal dividers of the oden pot wwww
It was so funny watching Uratan’s short arms trying to wrap themselves around Senra’s huge shoulders ww when he rushed to drink water afterwards Shima and Sakata tried to pull the glass away from him wwwww do-S wwww
In the end UraSen won this round, and the punishment game was to drink a cup of gross tea (I can’t remember the name but I think it’s the tea thats flavoured stuff like old socks) Senra tried a sip beforehand and just went 'AGH’ and made uratan have a go too wwww
Needless to say ShimaSaka died wwww their faces were quite something

Ahh this song is so nice ww I might translate it one day w it’s so optimistic and cute w I was hoping they’d sing the solo songs from the album because they’re all so good w
For this we sang the 'YEAH’ and 'Hallelujah’ lines, it was so fun, and sakatan hit the high notes like the talented child he is w This song is so cute wwwww 坂田家 are grateful w he was jumping all over the stage
As expected Mashi really suits songs like this w It was a nice change of pace, and we stood back and waved our lightsticks
This song has a kinda hard-to-sing melody but senra fucking. nailed it w
The english lines sang live made me blush w I think the audience were supposed to sing some of the 'How do you make a pass at me’ lines but it went too fast w When some previously-recorded harmonising lines played it was like 2 Senras singing at the same time w ie is this what heaven is like
this was so cute w they kept singing back to back, and holding hands and pointing at each other wwww the harmonising and the rapping was cool too!
When introducing themselves and their new album, Shima accidently said 'Galaxy’ instead of 'Venus’ ww The shimasen duet was cool as always w
Next was Shima eating and Sakata feeding! It went like Shi: 'I wonder what I’ll have,,,, oh! Konyaku it is I guess,,,,, what shall I have next -Konyaku!? Please no- Okay I guess it’s Konyaku and the third???? Nno, no more konyaku please- No’ and there was so much mustard Shima cried wwwwww Sakatan also kept making Shima do 'tehepero’ with the head knock even though he was suffering wwww
Then Senra fed Uratan -who burnt himself immediately so told Senra to slow down so he could blow on it to cool it down first wwww He kept burning himself anyway wwwww when Senra held the food too close uratan said 殺すぞ c l a s s i c
In the end I think UraSen won again? but all four of them did the punishment game -to drink the tea and immediately say something to everyone at Budoukan watching ww Uratan went first and straight away was coughing www In fact they all did, Shima’s face was amazing wwww Senra went AAGH again
For the section USSS were wearing black suits with shiny decorations, and feathers in their hair, and they were facing me, the east side! it was so kakkoi- there was shots of FIRE that warmed up the entire room shooting up around the stage and the lyrics and the dance moves had us all screaming w honestly i was not ready
THIS WAS SO UNEXPECTED WWWW I WAS A BIT CONFUSED AT THE BEGINNING LIKE 'do I know this song?’ wwwww it had been so long since I’d listened to it w I didn’t know the lightstick movements at ALL ww
THE DANCING WAS SO COOL I DIED WWWW
Medley: Dreamer, Idol poi kyoku o tsukutta, Princess ni kuchidzuke o, #Azawarai Polaroid, Chuubyou gekihatsu boy, Carry forward, Kimi made ato nan metre, Dreamer
This medley was so cool! I tried my best to remember the dance moves for Azawarai Polaroid from last year but wwwww
I think it was during Kimi made when Shima started crying during his line,,,,,, My eyes welled up but I could see and hear a lot of risu sobbing,,,,,,
Here USSS thanked the band in turn, who didn’t have microphones so had to shout w They said stuff like 'please continue to support usss’ and 'Thank you for letting us perform at the Budoukan’
USSS then asked each section to firstly shout, then laugh ww and figured that it could make them seem really funny wwww Sakatan started by saying なつ、、あつはなつい、ですね！！met by uratan scolding him for how bad it was and the entire hall laughing wwww I’ll be honest I was still laughing at Sakatan I ddin’t hear what Shima said -or remember what the others said either GOMENN ONE OF THEM JUST SAID GIBBERISH W
Somehow the conversation moved to heights and when Uratan and Shima compared heights (they’re supposedly the same height) Sakatan told those of us who though Uratan was taller to shout first, then those of us who thought Shima was taller -Only a handful of people shouted the first time and Uratan was like 'OI! WHY WAS THAT SO PATHETIC!?’
This was the opening song to the Summer tour live last year and I,, got a little emotional w I’m so lucky to be able to see my boys in person

During the last chorus a bunch of stars fell from the ceiling! ww They mostly landed on the ground floor but a girl near me managed to get one and she cried for a long time ww I’m glad she was happy wwww
After all the songs USSS thanked us for coming individually w Senra went first, and talked about how grateful he was for the support when he was still a shakaijin, Sakatan next -HE CRIED!!!! It was so emotionally watching him struggle to get words out without breaking down (this is when I started sobbing and not. stop.) he thanked us for the continuous support, Shima was next with more thanks, and then leader, Uratan! He said everyone before him had already said everything, and had a little poke at how Shima started crying earlier, who replied 'what no I don’t remember’ w
Encore-They all came back onstage in the tour T-shirts!
Uratan thanked us for the encore, and immediately began the song
Oh my god this just made me cry even more wwww They’d only released this the other day so I hadn’t listened to it much but the lyrics were so lovely I wwwww
It makes me so proud to be a member of crew w

THE FINAL, FINAL SONG! We screamed our hearts out wwww (sakebe YEAH YEAH YEAH) For the 'Unlimited Success Shining Shoutër’ lines they said,,,,, something else,,,,,,,, but I can’t remember -something like 'Thank you Budoukan!’ (?)
Ahh but the live had to end (after about 3 hours w), Uratan said he wished it’d never end (big mood) wheeee I’m so happy I got to go to this,, 5 years really have flown by ww and already they’ve reached so many hearts and are still enjoying performing, I’m so proud, the Budoukan is one of the top venues to perform at,,,,
I hope to be able to support them for many years to come!! I hope they’ll be happy whereever they go and keep spreading happiness!
