Sean Durzi & Nick Suzuki: A (mini) Primer

Sean Durzi and Nick Suzuki both got drafted by the Owen Sound Attack in 2014 & 2015 respectively. (the insta screenshot above is sean's first ever post btw)
"They would instantly click in mini camp and chose to be roommates for the duration of their time in Owen Sound."
"Makes it a lot easier (to play) the way he sees the ice," Suzuki said about Durzi. "He has great vision, works hard every day."
They enter the OHL together in the 15-16 season, and billet with the same family. Here's them with their billet parents Sarah and Phil Rowe in 2016 and 2022 (where Nick & Sean invited them to attend the first game they played against each other)
Nick gets drafted in the first round by the Knights. Sean eventually goes undrafted, but Nick refuses to leave his side throughout the entire day as a show of support. (Sean ends up getting drafted by the leafs in 2018)
Nick and Sean get traded together to the Guelph Storm in a blockbuster trade.
Although they both struggle with being traded away from the billet family they've been with through their most formative years, they both credit each other as people they lean on.
In january —before he even gets the chance to play his first NHL game— Sean's rights gets traded by the Leafs to the Kings. Nick "talks him through it" (lol)
They end up winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup together that year, becoming OHL champs!
wanna finish this off by saying that Nick loves saying that Sean has "earned everything he has got" for some reason ?????? idk. but i love them
