Resident Evil 9 is a very enjoyable game with a lot of aspects that can great or tedious depending on what you as an individual like specifically in your video game.

While I fully believe that knowing other peoples opinions about a certain game can persuade ones own thought process into feeling a certain way; I think overall it is up to everyones own personal experience whether it be via first hand playing RE9 yourself or by watching gameplay through other means if the direct option is not available.

Resident Evil is a franchise that is very infamous for having sections of a game that everyone loves while also simultaneously having sections that everyone hates and I think RE9 does also suffer from this as well. I don’t think it’s inherently a bad thing as once again these aspects are purely based on ones own likes & dislikes.

Most story based AAA games (such as Resident Evil) in the present time period we live unfortunately suffer from an era where games in the 90s and early 2000s were (I would not say “easy” as game development is a craft I highly respect) made more periodical with a new game coming out in within 9 months of eachother so story based games were more easily accessible to follow. Nowadays big games take upward of 5 years or more to make which can hurt an audiences perspective ESPECIALLY when a game people have been waiting for for years is objectively not like how it should have been.

Conclusion:

I love Grace Ashcroft as a protagonist. I think Leon could have been replaced with any other character and the storyline would still have worked the same which hurts for me to say. I can’t say anymore without this reblog having spoilers.

If you love RE please support RE9 and give your honest praising thoughts and criticisms to Capcom so they can properly see what audiences did and did not like. If you’re unsure about RE9 I would suggest waiting on a sale as the franchise has sales quite often.
