Fifth wednesday of 2026

I have wanted to use some stash yarn and this past week I have! (Over 300 g)

Mostly by making 2 pairs of felted slippers

The pattern is the free Doble tøfler fro. Sandnes garns

I used Dale Lanolin which is a way smaler yarn, so I made a pair in size 39 as a swatch, it came out a size 32.

So for the slippers I wanted to be size 45, I multiplied the patterns number of stitches and rows with 1.2

Both Sandnes Fritids (the recommended yarn) and Dale Lanolin had the same % of shrinking when the swatch slippers, so I could also just have knitted to the right amount of cm.

The vonstruction is also fun, with kinda making tiny closed off pants, then putting one legg, inside the other, so you have double walled slippers! Would work for somebody needing even sturdier slippers than the sailor slippers!

Sunday 2, electric blankaloo

Knitted 9 cm on a blanket I started a few years ago! It's 90 cm across, so 810 cm²

Think I'm gonna continue on this until I have used up all my leftover yarn that fits!

Yarn is mostly Viking superwash but also other 3.5 mm yarns I have left over.

Pattern is just what I could think of.

Colour group A are brighter colours, changed at the start of row 1

Colour group B are darker colours, changed whenever I run out.

Cast on 181 st in colourgroup A

4 row repeat:

Row 1 and 2, colour A: knit

Row 3 and 4, colour B: knit 1, *slip 1 purlwise, knit 1*, repeat rest of row

First Sunday 2026!

(Happy) New year! New attemp at logging what crafting I do (tbh 80% knit, 15% crochet and 5% other)

Finnished socks for my friend! They wanted them to be loose at the leg, wide under the ankel and otherwise formfitted!

3mm needles, drops kid merino

Cast on 80m, 20 rows 1x1 twisted rib

Patter of classic norwegian star for 72 rows

Reinforced heelflap on with 39m +1 increase (40m total on flap)

((Pattern is 10m + 1m repeat, so want 41m on top of the foot/instep))

Shotrow heel turn and picked up 21 stitches on each side for gusset. Instep is continued in star pattern, and the sole get a simple 3×3 star pattern.

Decreased on the sole every row until 37m remains on the sole.

Decrease every other row until 31m remains on the sole. (72m total)

Continued in pattern until sock reach the toes, 2 rows background colour.

Switch to maincolour and did toe decreases every other row until 24m left in total. Kitchner stitched shut

Day 16, Month 2

Mayday, mayday, augustday?

I made the one sock and the circomfrence is to large and it feels weird on (size wise, not pattern)

I have to frog it 🐸

My other project, the beachbag, I have made half a round on 🤡

Quite silly of me

Ever more silly is that I made 3 bucket hats instead of working on theses

It's "the kelp bucket hat | crochet tutorial | passioKnit Kelsie" on youtube. I recommend stretching it on a cylinder to get more of the bucket shape!

Gave 2 away already!

Drops Paris, 5 mm hook worked perfectly 👍

I will now continue on the beach bag, as I am giving it to my friend at the end of the month!

Day 2, Month 2

I haven't updated in 2 weeks, so heres a big one:

Finnished the peafowel shawl!

The shawl is free on susan's family, yarn website. The edging is sxallops on the straight side and bulbs on the curve.

I also finnished my mittens and the first mistborn book 🎉

I promise i have sewn in the ends, but have already lost them to winterstorage, so you will have to take my word on it!

So, since I finnished 2 projects, I should probably finnish my last 2 wips?

Bzzzt, wrong, 2 NEW projects are a way better idea!

First is a beach bag, same mystry yarn as the shawl, 2.5 mm hook!

Handles takes forever, so I procastinated with some socks

The yarn is amazing, Trough the wardrobe's Romfantasy series in the colour "dreaming of unicorns 🦄💤

It's textured but you can't see it in the pics because I knit socks inside out. Less pressure on my wrists 👍

The pattern is Jogging on ravelry, I like it but it costs money. I don't feel like winging it like I do with crochet.

Day 10

Finnished the last row on my shawl! Now it only needs the endging (and soak and blocking) (Idek how to block shawls)

Other than that, I tjink I'm halfway on the mittens!

I also croched a circle while on the bus, very creative, very deep. I will keep it in my tote, then make the circle into a tote, and that tote will hold my next tote!!

Day 5

Finished row 87 of 89 on the shawl, almost scary being this close to the end

For my other active project I have choosen to make the right mitten of this testknit.

My friend said I probably should finnish a project before starting a new. There have never been a bigger betrayl.

This was after I even sewed in all the ends on a STRIPED buckethat!

I'm not 100% sure if this is how I want the colouring to be, so I still havent cut the yarn ✌️

I made another line or two on the shawl from last post~

But what to make now~~

Put the w in wip? New cast on? Sew in ends?

I also have to make a mesh strand bag for a friend of mine. We are doing a little art swap on the 15. Aug.

I asked if she wanted square, shell, granny og patterned mesh

She said yes to the one with patter, but that is the same as my shawl, so I will wait til I finnished the shawl!

Row 84/88, amazing pattern to zone out to. Each row is based on the design from the last row, so it's easy to get where you are and not have to stare at the pattern.

Selfdrafted buckethat

Based on free sewing patterns for size.

Cotton merino from drops and a hook 5.

It's ok, and has a matching slipover

But I should start a knitting project to not tire my hands with the crochet.
