I know this isn't a lettering post, just wanted to share how reading that email a few days ago affected me yesterday and today. And now, a story: I decided to make this small blanket (#babyBlanket), and while I was in one of the yarn aisles at Hobby Lobby I was STRUCK with inspiration and bought the 3 skeins in the photo above. I had absolute confidence all the colors would work together and I was so excited to work on the blanket. 2 skeins were wound into cakes when it happened. Maybe these colors wouldn't work together...maybe they would clash...the blanket was going to look terrible...should have just bought one colorway... I almost didn't start crocheting this blanket y'all. But I did start, then as I reached the point where the Oatmeal colorway would fade into the Neutral Stripe, I started to think I should abandon this idea and make a blanket that was worked up with only the Oatmeal colorway. But I decided I would add the next color and actually see the result before I gave up on it. And I am so PLEASED with how it's coming along! 😁 (Other photo above is right after first fade was completed) And this morning as I got ready to add the third colorway, again i struggled with maybe not. But, like the email encouraged us Friday, I'm not going to let the doubt stop me, I'm going to "do the work anyway."
