“My jacket and bag are by MaryMe JimmyPaul, shorts by Bernhard Willhelm, leggings by Walter van Beirendonck, shoes hand painted by Scooter LaForge. Hat and scarf hand knitted by me. My main inspiration is color. I travel year round to teach knitting design and color techniques while I share my knitted designs so I’m constantly soaking up inspiration from favorite destinations like Iceland, Amsterdam, and NYC. Walter van Beirendonck is my favorite fashion inspiration.”

Looks like it’s crochet?

Yarn Process/Progress.
100g of lace weight merino yarn, fresh from yesterday’s spinning session, soaked and weighted overnight to dry. Just taking the last of the damp out of it over the wood fire.

Big Skein
When you are spinning and think “Huh, this isn’t very much yarn,”
Sometimes you are wrong.
A backpack, a regular sized skein and a mouse for reference.
Worsted weight single ply- 852 yards.
I don’t have a lazy kate, so when I wanted to wind my single into a ball, I had to get creative. The spindle is hung from a lanyard with a swivel hook. I had to help it along a couple times, mostly when it was wound close to the shaft, but for the most part it worked surprisingly well.
The first yarn off my wheel that I’m proud of. Malabrigo fiber in Archangel.
First spin on the Eel Wheel! I’m hoping to film part of it to show off how it works!
