Backyard Summertime Regression Activities
🌳 Get ready in little clothes! Overalls, floppy hats, kid gloves, big long cool socks! Don’t forget your pacis and stuffies!
🌳 If you have a cg, help them get ready or have them help you! If not, that’s okay!
🌳 go outside! If you don’t have a backyard or don’t feel safe regressing there, try a small park, or a forest! If it’s far away, make it a day trip with your cg!
🌳 look around, can you see any flowers? What kind? What do they look like? Draw them or examine them like a scientist! Or maybe braid them and make a flower crown for your stuffie! Or yourself or your cg!
🌳 pick lots of pretty flowers and put them in a vase! Or tuck them behind your stuffies ear!
🌳 Maybe you can even dry your flowers and press them! Here’s a good DIY!
🌳 Can you see any bugs? If they’re flying, follow them like a scientist! How fast are they flying? What do they look like? What path did they take? Are they colorful? Maybe pretend to be that bug and fly around your backyard! Or draw them!
🌳 Can’t see any bugs? Look down! Maybe they’re crawling in the dirt! Don’t be afraid to pick stones up to discover bugs, just make sure to stay safe! Follow bugs as they crawl along. What do they look like?
🌳 make up stories for any animals you see!
🌳 can you hear birds? Try and mimic their calls! Maybe one will call back to you!
🌳 make a bird feeder and hang it up with your cg!
🌳 look around for bird nests or other bird homes! If you find one, look, but don’t touch! You don’t want to break any nests or disrupt a home!
🌳 for littles who like cool gross things, look around for scat, or animal poop! what kinds can you find? Do you know where they came from? Look it up!
🌳 if you have a sandbox, bury your toys and dig them back up!
🌳 or add some water and make a sandcastle!
🌳play tag with your cg or other littles!
🌳 do you have a favorite sport? Play that!
🌳Swing on the swings or play on the playground with your cg! Just make sure you stay safe, and ask your cg for help if you need it!
🌳 for really little littles, get a picnic blanket or a baby blanket or a cool towel and lie on it outside! Maybe with a rattle or paci!
🌳 take a nap with your cg in the grass! Or alone!
🌳 plant something with your cg! A flower, or maybe start an herb garden!
🌳 play hide and seek with your cg!
