One day Jake and Johnnie were hanging out when the annual doom scrolling began, johnnie had long since drifted to playing video games on his laptop while Jake scrolled through Johnnie's phone as his died and he was way too lazy to charge it.
He came across one of Grace's posts and didn't think much of it... Until he saw a girl on repeat on Grace's photos, her outfit consisted of mini skirts, leg warmers, platform boots and layers upon layers of accessories in each photo. One in particular caught his eye, her glossy lips was curled into a soft grin, her layered silver chains catching the sunlight against her black outfit and her eyeliner looked sharp enough to cut through glass.
Jake's thumb suddenly paused after what felt like the twentieth photo, his heart doing a strange flip he had no explanation for "Hey Johnnie, who's this girl with grace?" he asked, his voice a little deeper than usual, johnnie looked up shrugged and kept playing "I don't know, some girl grace met on cast, she's cool or whatever"

To say today had been shit, would be and understatement. You woke up like any other day, except today felt different, heavier than yesterday, but you tried to be positive, like you always are, little miss sunshine. You turned around just to find your boyfriend Sam already left, he and Colby had some huge video planned today, so you got up and went to make coffee.
As you stood in the kitchen staring at nothing in particular while your coffee got cold, your phone started ringing. You reached for your pocket only to find your stupid obsessed ex calling you, *"I thought I told him to leave me alone"*you thought
You of course ignored him, and he of course would not stop calling. Eventually you got so mad you literally locked your cellphone on the balcony and with your luck it started raining and you forgot your phone out there. By the time you remembered it was too late your phone was broken and you were hopeless.
You decided to go to Starbucks in desperate need of a mood booster, you got there and waited in line, the very long line. When the line eventually came to you, you ordered a simple coffee, waited and picked it up. You walked outside and tried to balance your sunglasses and coffee in one hand to grab your keys with the other. Your coffee decided of course today of all days to spill all over your white shirt.
Your rushed home and washed off the sticky substances off your skin, at last being clean again. You plopped down on the couch staring at an uneven bump of paint in the wall, it always bothered you but with your luck today you were not gonna try and fix it, goodness you missed Sam. He seemed to be your lucky charm, nothing ever went wrong with him around and today? Well today he wasn't around and everything was going wrong.

You sat down and just thought about everything that had gone wrong today. Suddenly you heard footsteps and saw a groggy Sam watching you with concerned eyes. You didn't say anything and neither did he,he didn't have to ,he just sat beside you peppering small kisses all over your face until you began laughing.

But honestly it started getting to the point where she has what? You looked back at the camera eyes glossy and your leg still slightly bouncing under Jake's touch but you smile out of politeness.
"So I know you guys met in a parking lot but where was that?" "Kansas city,go chiefs whoop whoop!" Jake yelled in a deep southern accent like he usually said root beer with causing you to try and suppress your giggles. Logan also laughed "So what happened tell me the whole thing." Jake started talking again "so get this ,I was just finishing up a video with Sam and Colby standing in the parking lot of a target when I see this gorgeous woman walking to me looking all nervous" you try not to laugh as you know him "oww! What it's true,anyway she reaches me and honestly just wanted a photo which I was more than happy to take ,she was like 17 the same age as me I was doing YouTube for about 2 years so I didn't really know I had fans. Anyway she was in this cheerleading outfit and 17 year old Jake was going gaga." He sang the word gaga just to add humour to it. " We took the picture and she told me she really wanted to be an influencer and I couldn't help but try to help her so we exchanged numbers and she started showing up in my videos ,and not shortly after we set up her own channel. We started dating about 2 years after that and probably the best years of my life and now we're 27."
"That you guys is honestly the cutest love story I have ever heard" you and Jake both laughed a bit when he said that. "Alright that is all of the time we have today sadly so thank you Jake and Y/N." The cameras got cut and as soon as Jake's hand left your knee you missed the warmth but obviously didn't say anything as you guys said your goodbyes doing a weird stand thing until Jake hugged you for merrily 5 second and you both went your respective ways.
As soon as you got home you collapsed on the couch next to Tara who asked you about the interview which you said went well but you were tired so you headed to bed. You woke up at around 3 am ,your phone was blowing up,you checked what it was all about ,it was you being mentioned in a bunch of tik toks. You immediately felt wide awake as soon as you saw it was edits of you and Jake's interview. One caught your attention it was you guys explaining why you broke up and them being so observant saw you we're gonna cry and took that clipp queued sad music and then a lot of clips of when you two were still together. Another edit of you shaking your leg and then Jake putting his hand on your knee to calm you down and then que a bunch of clips of all the videos he used to do this in.

Everyone kept tagging him in it,it felt like everything was going according to plan which was perfect cause not even two hours later Jake had liked your video and the comment where you said you would give him a second chance.

Jake also started taking his pants off as Tara freaked out and covered it for. The camera while you and Johnnie just laughed, his pants were to big so you took the hair tie that held your hair up and made a little knot at the back so it didn't fall off Barry of course having to catch this too.
"guys what the fuck is on my ass" you said turning a round so everyone could see in big glittery letters stood "juicy" everyone laughed until Tara spoke up "oh no you emo bitch we are not looking like a ghost today" she pulled you to the couch taking off your makeup while Barry knew you were pretty insecure so he headed to Jake and Johnnie who were singing and dancing. Tara removed your makeup which you were really insecure about cause I mean you and Jake were together for 8 years and he hasn't even seen you without makeup. You'd even go as far as to wake at 4 am so you could do your makeup before he woke up.
"cmon you look gorgeous without makeup" "I am not going out without makeup Tara forget it" Jake came strutting over, you immediately hiding your face since you've only ever let Tara see you without makeup and it was on accident. "come on girls what's taking so long" he said in a girly voice which Barry cut the camera right after.

After about 19 minutes Tara stopped trying to convince you but Jake sat a whole hour convincing you that you looked perfect and you finally agreed.
You guys decided to go healtnut, once you guys got inside Tara told the camera her order whirl Johnnie complained about there being no chicken nuggets, Jake got a tuna sandwich while you got a chicken salad with sesemeand spicy asian sauce and tuna. Johnnie decided to sit in a baby chair "I feel like my ass is too fat for this" "Johnnie you are so embarassing. Get. Up"
You guys sat down and waited for your food as Johnnie was his usual self goofing a round and embarrassing all of you. You guys head to the car you and Jake in front and Tara and Johnnie in the back. You guys shook your salads up whirl Johnnie complained about chicken nuggets again.
You guys started eating, of being in habit you and jack shared each tigers food you feeding him a fork full of salad and him feeding you a panini and a bit of his salad. You guys started laughing when Jake started his chronical googling. You guys went and got coffee, Tara, Johnnie and Barry sya down while you and Jake went and ordered you guys got your coffee and then went to the mall.
You guys walked aorudn the mall pretending to judge people, while after a while you and Jake both started singing until you guys got to a salon getting the guys's eyebrows threaded since you and Tara did it a lot you guys didn't need to. Jake was complain whirl you were laughing your ass off silently and Johnnie looked nervous for his turn.
Johnnie started his threading and you and Jake started laughing and cringing at Johnnie. You guys then cut the cameras and waited till night where you guys decided to do a girls night. Tara dressing in a juicy robe, Johnnie a Victoria secret one and you and Jake in a playboy and playgirl robe. You guys started talking about Johnnie's skinny jeans and yall new matching ugs.
You guys decided to watch atars favorite movie:mean girls. "fuck boys" Johnnie started a syou guys started a gossip session. Jake decided to fart making you and Tara to jump off and Tara storming off and coming back 5 seconds later. "top five hottest celebrity boys. Go" Jake said "chef boy rd"
"I like the impractical jokers, I think they're hot... Have you guys ever thought Gordon Ramsey's hot?" then Jake made an unusually long story about how Gordon Ramsey couldn't even make grilled cheese, and then doctor Philly exploiting people's mental health after talking about food and pills you guys ended the video but still proceeded to eat h mean girl.
Johnnie played at the far left, Tara next to him, then you and Jake enxt to you on the far right eventually you fell asleep after about 20 minutes in, in your sleeping state you went off of habit, snuggling up to Jake. Jake froze at first but eventually loosened up and wrapped both his arms around your waist, eventually falling asleep as well after the movie Tara and Johnnie did notice this tho. Both of them snickering went and took a whole bunch of photos before Tara went to her bedroom and Johnnie the guest bedroom leaving you two to sleep there.
You woke up the next morning , sitting up confused as to where you are until you felt two arms pulling you back to lay down. You were caught by surprise when you saw it was Jake ,you tried getting up again but he kept pulling you back after about 5 tries ,you eventually got out of his grasp. Jake was still fast asleep so he just turned around and kept sleeping. You sat at the edge of the couch ,your head between your hands. What the hell happened?
You took your phone off the coffee table and headed up to your room quietly closing the door behind you, the door made a soft click and you sat on your phone. You dialled your mom's number,your finger hovering above the call button before you eventually clicked it. After about 10 seconds of dialling your mom eventually answered with a "hello?" "Hey mom so you remember my ex,Jake." "Who?" "He came over for Christmas once?" "oh yeah what about him" "so we both fell asleep on the couch and we started cuddling and I'm freaking out right now cause I really still like him and now this happened!" "You know what? I don't give a shit your big enough to figure this out so stop coming to me with all your problems I don't have time for!"
Your mom then hung up causing you to sit with your arms crossed over your knees and you crying into your arms. You heard your door softly kicking open but didn't think anything of it, since it was like 5 am you thought it was just the wind. That changed when you heard a deep voice "Y/N what's wrong?" Jake sat beside you hi hand hovering just above your back to comfort you but too scared he'll make you uncomfortable with the sudden touch so he put his hand back down.
You settled your feet back to the ground quickly wiping away your touch as you said in the most normal voice you could muster "nothing ,why are you up it's like 5 am" "Y/N don't change the subject ,why we're you crying?" You didn't want to do what you did next but it was like your mouth talked before you could even think "I said nothing is wrong alright?! Goodness!" You yelled at him then stormed out of the room.
You left the house with no idea where you were going but you jumped in your car and started driving. After about an hour you reached the place you and your sister used to hike and just sat at a cliff while looking over the city,your legs dangling over the edge. You hadn't realised how much time had gone by but before you knew it,it was already getting dark ,you went back to your car. You checked the time 7:30 great you hated driving in the dark so the hour trip was gonna take 2 hours. You soon realised your phone was left with 53 missed calls from Jake and a few from Tara and johnnie.
There were also a bunch of messages and voice messages which you only opened and left them on read ,you eventually started driving back ,slowly but still driving, you stopped at 7/11 and got some food,after eating you eventually got home at like 11:45. You walked in before even closing the door you heard Jake's voice cutting through johnnie and Tara talking anout where you could be and worst case scenarios.
"She just left me on read !" He said in a tone of frustration ,worry and a mix of guilt. "Jake I'm sure she's fine" " No Tara what if she's not she was really upset this morning what if she did something?!" You closed the door and hung up your coat which they heard and in a blink of a second Jake was in front of you his hands going to your arms checking you for any injuries while johnnie an data stood behind him looking worried but also relived.
As soon as Jake saw you weren't hurt he let out a sigh of relief then pulled you into a bear hug "don't you ever do that to me again do you hear me?" " Yeah Jake you're smothering me" he didn't seem to care as he adjusted the hug to where you could properly breath. You patted his back awkwardly , you could feel the physical relief radiating off from him.
He finally pulled away but still kept his hands on your upper arms checking you once last time for any injuries. After about an hour of Jake following you around everywhere you went it eventually got really late so you wanted to head to bed. Jake and johnnie were supposed to go home that day but decided to stay another night. Johnnie went to the guest bedroom again,Tara to her own room while you went to yours but Jake still followed you.
You finally had enough turning around and facing him right at the entrance of your door " alright Jake what the hell is up you have been following me since I've got home?" " I'm just making sure you're Alright" he mumbled you gave him an "what the hell" look which he saw and only looked down. You just shook your head heading into your room Jake following and closing the door you sat at your setup putting on your headphones . Jake could see you were about to stream so he sat on your bed where the camera couldn't see him and scrolled through his phone.
You started streaming and talking to the chat who wanted you to react to the world's weirdest addictions , which you did laughing now and then at the chat and the addiction but also pulling at faces at some of them. Eventually Jake got tired and layed down a bit more comfortably but still kept scrolling. You adjusted your camera after he fell from you being disgusted at a girl liking to eat her husband's ashes.
You adjusted it a bit to the right which caused the camera to catch a red head in your bed scrolling on your bed, no doubt it being Jake. The chat started going which you saw from the corner of your eye and paused the video.
"what the hell guys is that Jake?!?!?!?!"
"I freaking called it"
"I mean after Tara's video and now this I wouldn't be surprised if they're together again"
You stayed silent turning bright red adjusting the camera so that no one could see Jake.
"oh they're totally together again guys look at how red he is"
"Uhm guys no were not he's only staying over after recording" Jake looked up as soon as he heard this realising the camera caught as you still tried adjusting the camera to not show him. He decided he didn't care an shit up grabbing a chair and sitting next to you ,pulling out your headphones so he could hear as well. The chat started going crazy once again.
"guyssssss!!!! They're totally together again I mean look at that"
You ignored the comments and gave Jake a side eye before continuing with the livestream."okay guys what should we do now?" "Ooh I know dye your hair" a fan said. You picked at a strand of your black hair your roots were coming in again and you were planning on dyeing your hair anyway so you shrugged ,walked to your closet and got out some old clothes ,going behind the random changing screen you had , coming out in old pajama pants and a black tank top. You grabbed your camera and headed to the bathroom you had , waiting when Jake didn't follow. He got the memo and got up following you.
"usually I have Tara dyeing ,my hair but this dork will have to do you said" standing in front of the counter in the bathroom with the camera set up as you got out plastic gloves and the black hair dye. Jake just looked offended "excuse me I'll let you know I've dyed Johnnie's hair plenty of times" "Ooh is that why half of his hair is brown" Jake put a hand to his heart to act offended.
"Gees it's about time ,look at these roots" it was the first time the audience realised you were really blonde. "Alright let's see" you started mixing up your hair dye realising Jake was in his favourite PJs "I still have some of your old clothes in my closet if you wanna change" you suggested Jake nodded and headed to your room and the chat going crazy about how cute it was that you kept them.
Jake came back in older clothes and put on the plastic gloves you sat down on the counter and Jake stood between your legs applying the dye to your hair gently while you made intense eye contact. You started talking to the chat gushing about this scene. "Guysss I hope I don't look like johnnie after this" you looked back at Jake making a weird face which made him laugh.
Eventually after talking and applying the dye you had to wash it off which you chased Jake with the camera out of the bathroom to do. Once you were done you called him back sitting and drying your hair with a towel. "Alright at least I don't look like johnnie" you said playing with your hair to check the roots "I'm pretty sure all emos look the same" oh he wanted to play that game "That's cute. I'm pretty sure all scene boys dress like a clearance rack at Hot Topic"
Jake only laughed at you , you guys went back to your room and the chat decided you need to play truth or dare but they do the questions and dares. After a while of silly questions and the rhythm of only truths you broke tagahe chain "dare" the chat kept daring you to kiss Jake while you desperately searched for any other dare but it was ruled out.
You looked at Jake and he looked at you ,smirking of course but it turned into a much softer smile when you looked at him causing a soft smile to break out into your own face ,evergreen playing in the back making the moment that much better. The chat was going crazy seeing you guys' smiles and eye contact,you leaned in and he did too but you pushed his face away last second as the song ended and started laughing at his "are you serious look".
You smiled at him ,when the next song "love game" by lady Gaga came up you started lip syncing to it,it now being a song you liked a lot but you knew really well due to Tara. You looked directly at Jake when the lyrics " I wanna kiss you but if I do then I might miss you babe" came up but unfortunately he saw that and smirked at her. They continue playing truth or dare
A little later and a few drinks in you guys were basically drunk and the chat having so much fun with this advantage. "Dare" Jake finally said,the chat tried their attempts at making you guys kiss again , but since this was Jake and he wanted to he looked at you not paying attention vibing to the music. 'ill blame it on the alcohol ' he thought before grabbing you and kissing you , at first you were shocked but eventually you relaxed into it kissing him back.
After you guys eventually pulled away you checked the time "shit it's 4 am" you guys then said your goodbyes to the chat who were absolutely freakingggg out about the kiss.
The next day when you and Jake eventually woke up at like 1 pm you both sat in silence in the living room after remembering what happened. Tara having enough of this came over "ok why are you guys acting like you kissed?" You and Jake just shared a look and looked back down at the cereal you were eating. "Ohhh you guys did.shittt" johnnie started cackling his little emo ass off to which you flipped him off.
After an hour of Tara and johnnie trying to pull it out of you guys johnnie found your live stream and even after you and Jake's protest put it in the TV to which Tara and johnnie watched it 4X speed to just get past it ,Tara complimented your hair when it was the part you and Jake dyed your hair and johnnie and tara both up and started jumping and squealing around like little kids when the scene came where Jake kissed you.
"the over it you big babies" you mumbled being grumpy and hung over ,you were also wearing sunglasses inside. Tara sat down opposite you and Jake "serious conversation just get back together" "no Tara go away" "I'm just saying who gives a shit about little people on the Internet they don't define your worth do they?" You just sighed ,took your bowl of cereal and went back to your room having heard that conversation way too much.
That night you were hosting a party so you decided to take a nap get some sleep in in and once you woke up you guys started with the party. Wihting little to no tie the aorty was in full swing with all you guys' friends.
You were dancing on the dance floor with Johnnie's girlfriend grace since you guys got along well. But it almost felt as if someone was staring at you all night you looked around and saw Jake just stating at you while mindlessly nodding to what Carrintong was saying. Jake downed the rest of his drink, it burning his throat slightly then made is way over to you.
"I don't care what they say" you looked at him confused "Wha-" " no just let me finish, I don't care what random ols people say or what the fans say and it doesn't matter or bother me at all. Y/N the only this I care about is you, I mean.." he sighed frustrated running a hand through his hair and holding you by your upper arms you tilted your head waiting for him to continue.
"I love you Y/N so much and if the prise to pay for that is being called names I don't care I just... I wnat you back Y/N" you staid silent for a long time which Jake did not take as a good sign. "Forget I said anything" Jake pulled away but you pulled him back "No you're right if it doesn't bother I think we could make this work again" Jake looked at you surprised before you pulled him in and kissed him, he melted into the kiss, kissing you back chastely. You eventually pulled away resting your forehead against his "I love you" "Yeah well I love you more"
