I know the kisses were great and stuff but I want to point out something. Hak asking Yona for her hand. As we know from the previous arc, it’s Hak and Yona’s way to get stronger.

And now we had a very stressful situation for them. Hak and Yona both thought that Hak might get killed. Not only Yona was relieved that Hak was still alive but Hak was grateful that she showed up. He could have asked her to get closer if it was only about kissing her but instead he asked for her hand. He basically asked her for her strength (and at the same time is giving her his). The last time they held hands it was already hard for him to not kiss her but now he was allowed to (since she confessed to him and was so worried about him).

And the fact that they even interwined their fingers (something that barely happens) is also a factor about how close they have become and that it’s mutual now.

Things Hak should do for his own good:

Let go of his unhealthy anger against Soo Won.

Forgive him, as in, letting go of the grudge and move on.

Things Hak IS NOT obligated to do:

To understand Soo Won or his actions

To say that what Soo Won did was okay

To trust him or to like him ever again

I honestly want Hak to move on from this because it is the best FOR HIM as a person, and not because he owes shit to Soo Won.

100% agree. I think this is important to note in general.

Forgiving someone for the past trauma they’ve caused you is not about them, it’s about YOU.

I can just imagine Hak weeping at SooWons death bed out of sadness for the loss of what was. Tears of anger, betrayal, love and finality. The peace that comes after when it’s all done. I believe this is the ending that Yona will give to them both.

It’s been a while since I looked at the AkaYona tag here in tumblr... so this is the impression that I am currently getting from it:

‘‘Yona is a Mary Sue. How dare she be brave and have more knowledge than when the manga started. Why isn’t she suffering consequences. Why isn’t she losing all the time. She isn’t allowed to have any growth!! she isn’t allowed to be a natural at negotiations and be charismatic!! only Soo Won can have all of those things!!’

The thing that I love the most about all this is that, this story ended up being Soo Won VS Yona and not Soo Won VS Hak lol. Perfect! xD

are we ignoring all of the subtle and overt growth and learning that Yona has done over the past 190+ chapters that has certainly made her capable of handling a leadership role?

are we implying that she always needs to be rescued by the male characters in order for the story to be “realistic”?

This match up is the only one that makes sense.

It has all to do with internal strength, will, and intellect opposed to the standard - physical strength. I don’t want to watch a duel. I want to watch Yona use her mind to take back and rue the fuck out of her kingdom

Not to mention and one thing Yona for sure does not want to see is Hak killing Soo-Won or vice versa. I think she’s do anything to prevent that match up.
