Okay, but I really DO love that it's now Gangle's turn to be the one trying to lift up Zooble's spirits. Now that Zooble's the one going through it the most, Gangle has to step up and does a great job because, well, Zooble would do the same for her. They've been doing the same for her for...who knows how long. After everything they've been through, it's no longer a one-sided deal where Zooble is the shoulder to cry on. They both have a shoulder to cry on now, and it's beautiful.

can we talk about how jax genuenly belived nothing that was happening was real to the extent he figured out how to manifest shit into happening by himself and also taught pomni how to do it. can we talk about the scene where he tells her shes being too realistic with the gun and teaches her how to never miss a shot with the sheer power of believing she can do it. can we talk about how hes been pulling keys from hammerspace this whole time and just Opened the chinese room door without a key when they ran out of keys to try on the lock. can we talk about how he figured out something only caine and kinger knew about by sheer power of dissociation. can we talk about how pomni never used the cartoon logic powers she learned from him after episode 6 again until now

to me as a disabled housebound bedbound person the amazing digital circus is a chronic illness and disability story.

i broke down crying and had to pause the episode when Zooble said "But I had dreams and goals! This just sucks" because FUCKING SAME.

but sometimes people lose their place in the world. their dreams and goals are inaccessible. their bodies become unrecognizable. their personalities and emotions become unrecognizable. they deny reality, reject companionship. they dissociate from their lives and past selves. they lose the ability to be a part of the larger world and do the things they used to do and live the lives they always lived.

I dont think they will leave the circus and i hope they wont because i dont want a cure story.

sometimes you lose your life and you just have to figure out how to keep living afterwards.

and at least having someone else there makes it bearable. as long as you have other people, you can keep living even if your life is over.

Love how you can see the inspiration behind so many of Caine's creations, from designs for places (the tent, the floor of the circus, the entrance to Caine's office, the restaurant) to designs for characters (Kaufmo, Ribbit, Gummigoo, Gangle, Kinger and Queenie, the moon, the unknown dino-toy human). It's so neat

Bubble Killed Caine

And Bubble was originally the second AI meant to replace Caine

Throughout Kinger's hacking attempt, we see Caine's subconscious responding to his efforts, however there's a second voice mixed in there as well. One screaming things like "DELETE THIS MOTHER****** WHAAAAAAAAA!"

There's only one AI that talks like that.

Kinger tries NOT to delete Caine. It prompts him multiple times and he says no. Then something messes with the prompt and tricks him into answering "yes."

Considering how antagonistic Bubble was becoming to Caine, how the whole start of the episode where we see Caine subsume a more stable AI, and it's been made clear Caine and Bubble are linked (they share a tongue), it seems likely that Bubble was a manifestation of that second AI Caine killed.
