You say talk about your OCs and I bring you the pitch for my best girl Aloe. Imagine: a calico cat xenobotanist with a specialty in carnivorous plants and pverwhelming confidence in her ability to survive unprecidented danger. She's brave, she's reckless, she's full of love and joy. She will hug a plant clearly interested in eating her alive and believe in her own ability to dodge.

Her robot assistant who's cataloging all these plants, meanwhile, has anxiety. Its name is Excev.

I wish I could send this ask from my art blog but unfortunately we still can't do that on mobile so..... I've posted pictures of her on @ybkitten :p

Ough i love her i feel like we could be friends and i would be so down to help with the carnivorous plants!! Also love her assistant having anxiety yessss is it scared of all the plants? I trust she is built different and will survive the plants 83

Excev has what they (it/they/he) call "a healthy sense of danger" and "a reasonable amount of fear considering the situation." They absolutely have some horrible anxiety and *is* scared of all the plants, but won't let Aloe go on expeditions alone because if something DID happen to her, somebody has to know. So even though it's so so so scared it ends up following her on all these quests.

Aloe's Space Adventure works on cartoon logic so yeah, she's built different! No matter what gets thrown at her she'll bounce back with a smile on her face.

(instead the actual tension in her story comes from late stage space capitalism destroying the environments she's exploring)
