McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio is home to the top show choir in the nation: Vocal Adrenaline. When Rachel Berry auditioned at the end of her Freshman year she was immediately shot down by the graduating Senior team captains for being too much of a “loser” that could potentially take down their credibility as a champion show choir with her animal sweaters and pant suits.
In a bout of anger, Rachel storms out of the auditorium and that’s when she hears exactly what she needs to hear for her idea to come alive: Spanish teacher Will Schuester humming showtunes under his breath as he walked down the empty halls. The next day Rachel approached him about starting a new group at McKinley that could rival the fierceness of Vocal Adrenaline and thus The New Directions were born. With summer now underway, Rachel wants nothing more than to make this new group survive and thrive so her plans now include trying to convince some of the more popular students not already in Vocal Adrenaline to sign up while Mr. Schuester comes up with ways to raise the money needed to fund the group.

So this is the kind of announcement that us admins never like making. This decision definitely was not an easy one for us to make and we’re very sad to have come to this decision as we have loved getting to interact with everyone that has joined us since we opened this group. Unfortunately since we announced our intended revamp, only a very small handful of you have been around, and some things came up for Riley and I that have prevented us from getting on including internet issues, family matters and new work opportunities. That being said, we don’t want to promise a revamped group and not be able to deliver on it. We feel like we’d be stringing you all along and that’s not something that we want for you guys and our group which has ultimately become our baby so-to-say. We’re sad to say it, but we will be closing the group down. We hope you all understand our decision as it wasn’t an easy one to make. You’re all more than welcome to branch off and do 1x1 RPs together or even make your own small groups. Again, this was not an easy choice to make, and maybe one day in the future once we get our real like stuff straightened out we will open back up, but for now this is our farewell.

Hello everyone! First off, Admin Riley and I would like to apologize for our inactivity for the past few days. I had my own internet issues while Riley got busy with work. However, that is changing. Riley and I are planning a revamp of our main, including a new theme and graphics. We’re also still going to go forward with our planned event for this Saturday, which is Kai’s big end of summer party! We hope to see many of you on the dash that day and interacting!
That being said though with activity, we know some of you may not have been around simply because we haven’t been around. While Dani loves being part of Vocal Adrenaline, she hates how so many members have the mindset that others don’t deserve the right to take part because they’re not as popular as they are. The cockiness of the team is making her want to quit and join New Directions instead.
Growing up, Dani never used to be a fan of expressing herself, but after the loss of a friend of hers, she realised that life was too short to hide yourself from the world if it’s not what will make you happy. The first thing Dani did as a form of self expression was ask her mom and dad shave the side of her head and dye her remaining hair blue for her. It was the first time in years that they had truly bonded together.
Although she is much more confident now, Dani still needs to talk herself out of getting stage fright before a performance. She is terrified that she will get on stage one day and either forgether the lyrics or freeze completely, and let everyone down.
After a recent hospital appointment, Dani has found out she may struggle having children and the news has sent her into a steady downward spiral and back into her depressive state of mind. While she is trying to overcome it, she can’t help but feel somewhat useless.

What are you most looking forward to this summer?
I’m really looking forward to going to Ibiza for a month so I can get a really nice tan and spend some quality time with my friends rather than having to cancel our plans due to school and a variety of different practices.
Do you have any regrets in life or school? If so, what are they?
I do have a regret from when I was a Middle School student; I wish I wasn’t as scared to express myself like I was, if I could, I would go back and tell myself that it’s perfectly okay to be different and that you don’t have to try so hard to fit in; people would much prefer to see the true you. And if they don’t like it, just flip them the bird and walk away in style with your glittery light up sneakers.
Any goals for the upcoming school year?
My goal for this year is to try get a nicer light shone over Vocal Adrenaline, I don’t want to graduate feeling like everyone thought I was an asshole for being on the team. I love everyone there, they’re all so incredibly talented, but I don’t like how they come across like they’re better than everyone else. I want to be as nice to as many people as possible and show them that we’re all human and some of us actually don’t care about what status other people have before talking to them.
What are your thoughts on the new show choir formed by Rachel Berry and Schuester?
I think it’s amazing! Who doesn’t love a little friendly competition!? Mr Schue is such a nice teacher and I really think he would be an amazing person to be head of a show choir, also, Rachel is so nice too! Sure, sometimes she comes on a little too strong, but she wouldn’t hurt a fly and I think it would be perfect having a show choir around that will take anyone in no matter what their social status is. Heck, who knows, maybe I’ll leave Vocal Adrenaline and join them instead.

Right now we’re currently not looking to take any more OCs. Riley and I wanted to keep our number OCs set so that we’re not all getting overwhelmed by too many. However, we’d love to see your application come in if any of our current OCs leave for whatever reason, and if we fill more canon roles we may expand the number of OCs if we have more expressed interest.

Absolutely! It’d definitely be interesting to see that happen and if it causes any more riffs between the groups because who doesn’t love a good drama causing plot.

Biography:
Hunter was raised by his mother the majority of the time as his father was always away working in the military.
Growing up, Hunter had always wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, but after joining his school’s choir when he was younger, his plans changed and he wanted to persue a career in music instead. Luckily, his father and mother were both very supportive and for his 10th birthday, bought him private singing and piano lessons, lessons that he recently completed when he finished his Junior Year.
Ever since his little sister was brought into the world two years ago, he feels as though he is the one raising her due to his mother having to go recieve treatment for her post-partum depression and anxiety. Not having his father around during that time was quite difficult, but for the upcoming school year, he has saved up his allowance to send his sister to pre-school while he attends classes.
While Hunter has never been in a relationship with a male before, he has peaked quite a curiosity for a male relationship rather than simply aiming for a one night stand. He hates to admit it, but he thinks he may be more attracted to men than he is to women.

What are you most looking forward to this summer?
Is this a serious question? Really? Of course I’m looking forward to being away from all of the losers at McKinley, I’m so incredibly sick of the stench of desperation and sadness that’s lurking through those hallways. God, I’m really hoping they did an intense clean up for when we have to go back. I don’t think I could handle the lingering smell and a new smell.
Do you have any regrets in life or school? If so, what are they?
Life; No? I’d have to be pretty miserable to have a life regret.
School: No. In school, I’ve never once bit my tongue on anything, never got in trouble and I had good grades. Not to toot my own horn, but I have no school regrets either, but here’s hoping that won’t all change by the time I graduate.
Any goals for the upcoming school year?
My goal for this year is to get the grades I need to go to college afterwards, but I’m also hoping to act like a more decent human being rather than being a dick. I have a little sister to care for, I can’t afford to screw up this year, that includes getting in trouble for telling the truth rather than sugarcoating.
What are your thoughts on the new show choir formed by Rachel Berry and Schuester?
Seriously? It’s going to flop, from what I’ve heard, people are interested, but don’t have the balls to actually do anything about it. I don’t know why anyone would want to join; Schuester is incredibly cringe worthy when he raps or tries to act cool, and Berry is, well, she’s Berry. Do I really need to say more? If anyone actually joins their petty show choir, I’ll feel the need to convince everyone not to give them hell for it; they'ed already be facing hell from the terrible twosome.

Biography:
Eleanor May Jones was born into an unloving home. She suffered from neglect, never in the forms of hitting or being called names. She would never be struck, but instead was often going hungry. Her older brother, Ben, took care of her. That’s all she remembered. DCS came to get her when she was three. Her parents had been found.
Lucky for her, Eleanor was put into a tender home from the start. Ben, her brother, was separated from her. She vaguely remembers him, and hopes to one day reconnect. Her foster parents— Jordie and Caroline Chapman— loved Eleanor with their whole hearts. They nursed her back into an acceptable human being.
Some things never change, however. Ellie, as she now went by, had grown used to being silent. The Chapmans could barely get a word from her. At first, they thought she was mute, but they could hear her sing. Confused, Ellie finally managed out to speak to them when she was six. She had a very bad stutter.
Ellie was put into speech therapy during kindergarten. She still stutters when nervous, which is most of the time, but it is more controlled now. Her hands will shake with nerves often times, and she can only control them when her hands are busy. Ellie will normally play with her hair to keep these things in check.
Ellie was adopted when she was twelve, making it her fist official birthday as a Chapman. Hands down the happiest day of her life. She loves being in the family, and does miss her biological brother some times. Ellie hopes he is doing well.
High school has treated her anything but well. Because of the hallways, people touching her and her stutter, Ellie has grown out of a shell and into a hole. She doesn’t plan on leaving her small sanctuary of being alone anytime soon either. That is until Rachel decided to make a Glee Club.
Headcanons:
Ellie can play piano and guitar. She is quite skilled in both things, a natural for picking things up by ear. She also signs mezzo-soprano and can hit as low as an alto 2. Her mom, Caroline, was a music major in college.
Ellie also paints to destress. She loves being creative.
Oddly enough, Ellie loves skirts. She hates being in pants, which means she gets more attention than wanted. Her sense in fashion is great.

Going to New York for a song writing intensive. I play piano and guitar, and it’s really the only time I feel comfortable being in front of people. I got the scholarship for it too, which is pretty wow-ing. It’s going to be for two weeks, which I bet will be the best time of my life.

Biography:
Mikayla has been quite tempted to try out for The New Directions, but she is worried about people looking at her differently for choosing that Show Choir rather than Vocal Adrenaline.
Mikayla was raised by her father and her three older brothers and has always been a tomboy, she also feels that it’s only ever necessary to wear makeup and dress up when it’s for a special occasion.
In Middle School, Mikayla tried out for the football team and after getting on, all the boys gave her the nickname Mickey, which has stuck with her ever since.
Mikayla never had many female friends growing up since she was always more interested in sports, but it did lead to her getting severely bullied and called a slut for being with the boys all of the time. Since being bullied, Mikayla has toughened up quite a bit and no longer let’s people’s opinions and comments get to her; instead, she uses their hate as motivation to prove them wrong.
After attending McKinley for the end of Freshman Year, the coach agreed to give her a private football try out and if she made it on to the team, she would start with all of the boys in the fall rather than join as the year was coming to an end for the summer. On the last say, Mikayla found out she got onto the team, but was yet to tell anyone, especially the people she would be playing alongside.
To pass her time as a Freshman, Mikayla decided to join the Dance Team in a way to make friends with some girls and to get her fitness back on track so it wouldn’t be as tiring trying to work out during the summer so she would be ready for starting on the football team in the fall.
This coming school year, Mikayla has made it her mission to try make some friends and to prove that she can play football just as well as the boys can; she is also prepared for all the comments that could be made towards her for being on an all boys’ team. She plans to stand her ground and do what makes her happy no matter what anyone else thinks. All she wants to do is make her brothers and her dad proud of her.

Mikayla loves to pretend she’s working out when she’s really sat in bed watching Netflix and eating ice cream.
In serious situations, Mikayla can’t help but laugh over the tension in the room.

This summer I’m looking forward to sleeping, eating ice cream and pizza, and having those awesome, but awkward jam sessions alone in my bedroom while singing into my hairbrush and dancing like I’m Beyoncé. I’m also looking forward to catching up on the latest sport.
Do you have any regrets in life or school? If so, what are they?
I think I’m too young to have any life regrets, but, I do have a regret from middle school; that regret would have to be letting all the negativity getting to me, it really ruined middle school for me, but it didn’t stop me from playing football, so, I guess that’s the positive I can take from that. From every bad situation, you’ll always find something to smile at.
Any goals for the upcoming school year?
A goal for the upcoming school year would be to prove that girls can do anything boys can do, I would also like to make some friends with girls, but I guess since I chose football over cheerleading, that might not happen. But oh well, I’ll hopefully be proving people wrong with my football skills, so that’s good enough for me.

I think it’s really great what they’re doing, Vocal Adrenaline could really use another Show Choir to help them pull their heads from their asses and make them see that they’re not the greatest thing since sliced bread. I mean, c’mon, you’ve gotta give the two credit for having the balls for wanting to make another show choir, besides, if it does kick into action, they’ve got my support.
