What's It About: It's about the Power of Love! And never giving up! And what does it mean to be a parent, a partners, a friend, a brother?
Fantastically detailed world-building and fantastically realistic and fleshed out cast of characters and a fantastically unhinged unreliable narrator of an MC.
It starts out looking like a standard male OP fantasy, but that is very much a fakeout, and it is very very much a subversion of that genre - something that has unfortunately earned this novel much ire in the Korean dude webnovel reader sphere of the internet.
It is also one of the best examples of "time travel fixit" as a canon premise that I have ever seen.
After his estranged little brother - Korea's top S-Sank Hunter Han Yoohyun - dies saving the life of the pathetic F-Rank Hunter Han Yoojin, Han Yoojin gets the opportunity to turn back time by 5 years and gain a new uber-powerful Skill that lets him 'nurture' S-Rank hunters to their full potentials - both humans and monsters.
Yoojin is determined to just chill and prove himself by supporting Yoohyun, but it's not so easy especially as he finds more and more people to love and care about. And also this one annoyingly fascinating and useful guy - the current #1 hunter Sung Hyunjae - who had disappeared from the public eye in mysterious circumstances before Yoojin turned back time - keeps finding him fascinating and useful too and won't leave him alone.
Webtoon Adaptation
Yes, there is a webtoon adaptation of it with an official English translation: My S-Class Hunters. There are 152 chapters in S1, which adapt roughly the first 160ish chapters of the novel, and the webtoon is currently on hiatus with work ongoing on S2.
The art is beautiful, and it is a very good work in its own right but it does adapt things more comedically than the novel. It makes for a pretty funny reading experience, but it leaves out enough of the (plot-relevant!) emotional bits as well as changes up certain plot points for better visuals that I would recommend reading (or at least skimming) from the start for anyone coming in from the webtoon.

Naver is horrendous to use internationally
Kakaopage is the easiest to use internationally IMO, and has a lot of freebies points. With enough grinding one can probably get all the webnovel chapters for free, while still showing support to Geunseo
Ridi is quite convenient too and often has sale events. Ridi is a more slash-friendly and female-reader friendly platform overall and has a more positive and shippier comment section I think.
However! Before you buy: One thing to note is that there are two versions of the text - a webnovel version and an ebook version. Yes, the text itself is different between the two.
Webnovel version: The ones that you can buy one-chapter-at-a-time and what you'll usually find on the 🏴☠️ sites. Side Story and After Words only exist as webnovel chapters as of April 2026.
Ebook version: The 870 chapters of the main novel are also available as 35-volume set of ebooks.
- Ebooks version has many added emotional beats and scenes (mostly of the homoerotic nature)
- Ebooks version also has many "extras" - additional chapters and short stories, often from the perspectives of characters other than Yoojin, that often add a lot of great characterisation and world-building information.
Apart from this there also exist some physical book sets but not in English - currently there is a Korean physical bookset of 10 volumes (with hopefully many more to come), and a Taiwanese bookset as well, and both these physical booksets have more unique "extras" in them as well.
If anyone decides to throw money at Geunseo for this, I would personally recommend going for the ebooks over the webnovel chapters.
Where to read the Translations!
1. SFS Translations (Chapters 1-460s)
- They use the ebook versions of the chapters.
- One needs to contact them for access to their locked/gdocs version (access can take a few days, but generally not more than 3-5 days)
- This is currently the most detailed and accurate translation, and the only one that includes the ebook extras, as far as I know.
2. Teleportal's MTL Epub: Main Novel (Ch 350-870) PDF and EPUB + Side Stories EPUB and PDF & After Words EPUB and PDF
- It uses webnovel chapters
- It is the only version for the Side Stories and After Words available in English
- While it is MTL, it is IMO one of the best MTL translations I have seen till date and very readable and understandable, and personally I would recommend it over the other edited MTL translations such as Mattreading and Freewebnovel.
3. MattReading Translations (Chapters 1-760s)
- This uses the webnovel chapters, and the earlier chapters use an older unedited versions of the webnovel chapters.
- This is on Wordpress, with last 20 chapters Patreon-locked
- The main/current translation linked on NovelUpdates.
- They are upto Ch 760+ as of April 2026, but (this is my speculation) are primarily edited MTL using the opennovel engine as far as I can tell. Pretty readable in terms of natural-sounding English, however later chapters get into some pronoun trouble and also character mixups last I checked.
4. FreeWebnovel (Chapters 1-782)
- MTL of webnovel chapters and early unedited raws
- I think this is the version one will find in epub/PDF files of early chapters if one goes looking on the usual epub sites
- There is apparently a site called empirenovel too, but it's just this version copied there.
Other than the story itself, the author has also done extensive Q&As, which detail out a ton of worldbuilding and characterization notes and @a-sctir-a-day has been doing MTL translations of the Q&As.
SCTIR Cherry Magic AU where SHJ is a 38-year-old virgin, so he has been able to read other people's minds (if he has skin contact with another person) for the past 8 years.
Then he meets HYJ who is always internally complimenting his looks, but always in a very annoyed/irritated way, instead of a fawning tone. SHJ find this very amusing and entertaining, so he constantly tries to find excuses to touch HYJ.

He can threaten someone with a smile on his face and total someone's car just because he finds it annoying. Before he met Han Yoojin he was super bored and now he's determined to hang around him because he's his main source of entertainment- and he's willing to pull out all the stops to protect him even though he's one of the biggest threats to Han Yoojin's safety. Sung Hyunjae even lets himself get threatened into things by the much weaker character simply because he finds it funny.

OKAY! It's Propaganda Time! This is joint masterpiece by me and the wise and lovely @saurberry
So I know SHJ doesn't look like he'd be an omega - 198cm tall blond CEO stereotype of a man that he is (or seems to be when we first get to know him).
But therein lies his tragedy.
Because clearly he is one of those omegas who didn't present and would be a 'null' for most of the series, and only start presenting after the climax/ending of the novel.
Like this is word-of-god canon, that the reason SHJ didn't feel inclined to sex or romance during most of the duration of the novel (until he met Yoojin (his alpha)) was because he could subconciously feel the chains of CM's contract constraining him.
In omegaverse, surely this would manifest as him never feeling comfortable or safe enough to manifest his second gender. Which is a trope that is more usually found with omegas instead of alphas. So he goes through life in all the omegaverse worlds as an unpresented null who 'publicly presents' as whichever gender is most advantageous for him in that society.
Now comes a few of the actual omega traits he displays in canon:
"I was always domestic, just didn't have a family before" (Note: these are actual canon words that he confesses in canon eventually)
He is forced to be alpha male by circumstances, but he wants to be the world's most ultra promax housewife meow meow (🛐 @saurberry) when allowed to live his best life. He knits for Yoojin, cooks for Yoojin and the kids, as a gift only asks the kids for better kitchen tools because 'Han Yoojin-gun is overworking him day and night in the kitchen sob sob'
He steals and keeps random items from Yoojin / Yoojin's house in his inventory at all times (to sniff??? to remind himself of his alpha???). Including a spatula, laundry basket, i think there was a mug as well? Note he also always carries a few yarns of the pink yarn~ that was Yoojin's very first gift to him. And uses it to make things for Yoojin.
HE IS CANONICALLY THE PRINCESS OF THE HJYJ DUO!! They joke about Yoojin being the princess to be rescued in their early emotionally shallow era, but when things get real - SHJ is the princess and Yoojin is the prince!!! SHJ wants to be YJ's princess, but isn't sure if he is and then the climax of the novel involves Yoojin affirming that HJ is his princess!!! This is not an exaggeration. "I have come to save you, my princess!" <- actual canon quote from Yoojin to Hyunjae
After a Certain Point in the Side Stories, he starts actively calling himself Han Yoojin's (61st) WIFE. Including in front of people who are not Yoojin. (Yoojin, his alpha, unfortunately has a harem 😔) Note: the word he uses for himself is the feminine gendered word for spouse, not a gender-neutral term. It's WIFE and he is very clear about that. I don't think he calls himself Yoojin's husband even once.
He actively wants and desires to be pampered! His bucket list items include sleeping on Song Taewon's (his other alpha) and Han Yoojin's arm pillows. Yes, this is indeed canon. (Bucketlist Extra)
In conclusion: omega. Clearly he's an omega. Yoojin giving birth to all those kids is just that world's first known instance of alphapreg. ☺️

November was a complete wash. I'm okay but unexpected personal stuff cropped up unexpectedly all over the place and this is the first time I have been able to log in to fandom in a couple of weeks.
I would like to apologize for going completely AWOL on the JinjaeAUvember stuff. Wasn't able to build-up the archive for the Q&As either.
There are these two brothers. They are hunters. But not just any hunters, they are special type of hunter - they are hunters of otherworldly/magical/supernatural beasts/creatures/monsters.
From a very young age, the shorter (if only in comparison) but older not-so-special normal-joe brother was parentified and responsible for bringing up younger (very tall) very powerful and special brother - who was suspected to be weird and something bad/wrong/demonic from babyhood. The younger brother grew up knowing there was something wrong/demonic about themself, but the older one was oblivious to this, and just loved his little brother wholeheartedly.
Older brother spent most of his teen years doing odd jobs to take care of the younger brother and eventually dropped out of high-school because of his responsibilities since the younger brother was the "smart one" who was good at school and whose education was more important.
Unfortunately, the younger brother ended up running away from / leaving home as a teen, leaving the older brother - who largely defined their identity as someone whose job was to take care of their younger brother - feeling adrift and confused and lonely.
So the brothers have been estranged for quite a few years, before getting back in touch at the point when the canon opens. The younger brother has been doing very well for himself and is a very successful person as per societal norms, while the older brother is a washed out weirdo who has been living on the edge of legality and society and with a history of a drinking problem to boot.
They then reconcile and embark on a breathtakingly codependent relationship, as they also try to save the world.
At some point the younger brother dies in the older brother's arms - kneeling, stabbed through their back - leading to the older brother doing very drastic and desperate things to reverse the younger's death. This decision is a big plot-pivot point for both canons, which changes the trajectory of the plot and worldbuilding. This death is caused by the intervention of a demonic other-worldy entity, who feels overwhelmingly powerful at this point in canon, but ends up small potatoes and is killed by the the older brother in revenge.
The consequences of the older brother's desperate actions also end up causing even more powerful otherworldly beings from two opposing factions to get involved with the plot and the brothers' lives. While in the beginning it seems one side is good and the other evil, it's ultimately not so straightforward after all, and the brothers ally with and fight against people on both sides as the plot proceeds.
Along the way, they gain many friends, including some very badass women who have lesbian-tension with each other, and powerful kid(s) who are varying levels of adopted.
It gradually becomes clear that actually the not-so-special older brother might be the special one after all, given that he attracts crazy powerful people like flies to honey, including one case of millenia-old person, who gets to experience new and unique experiences for the first time in their long long life after encountering the older sibling and also dies way too often for a supposed-immortal.
This character and the older brother go through multiple breakup/divorce arcs without ever actually being together, and are canonically supposed to have a very special bond/relationship. The fandom jokes about this character's existence being genre-breaking and being difficult to explain as straight - he's the very definition of queerbait/stereotypical-BL character.
This queerbait boyfriend's signature look involves formal wear with a tie and a long coat. Despite being pretty traditionally masc presenting, this queerbait boyfriend is canonically utterly indifferent to gender (their own or others). At one point, he loses his memory and attacks the older brother with overwhelming force, but his "inner self" is able to take back control and stop himself from permanently damaging the older brother character.
So! Am in talking about the CW tv show Supernatural? Or am I talking about the knovel S-Classes That I Raised?

If I had a nickel for every bit of weirdly specific similarity between the two canons, I would have many MANY nickels. Which is a lot and also very weird. Anyway, this is the spoiler-free version, the version that spoils some later plot points and some vague trajectories of the endings of the two canons nets me at least 4-5 more nickels, minimum!
Anyway, read "S-Classes That I Raised", people. It's good. It's great.
And now I am craving a SCTIR SPN AU, where Yoojin and Yoohyun dress up as fake govt agents and fight spn-type monsters in the Korean countryside instead.
(Song Taewon is probably Victor Henriksen in this AU. Yerim is Adam, and both of them get a way better endings than the actual SPN characters.)
