- my plants are well, my figs look great

- drying laundry smells like sunday

- changes are okay

- first hockey game

- I had an exciting past few days. Starting tomorrow I’m looking forward to childhood friends, homemade food, and me time.

- Lunch at home: hot bagel with cream cheese and mango chutney, topped with roast lemon asparagus and smoked fish. I’ve been inspired by a recent experience at a vegetarian restaurant.

- Cafe and a walk through overgrown urban foliage where the sidewalk was overtaken in enough places that we had to maneuver into single file sometimes to stay off the street. 2 rabbits and a blooming dogwood.

- New job. Everyone seems more excited for me than I am honestly.

- I can’t save my brother but I can spend time with him.

- I started drawing. I felt inspired by my friends B and K, not because they’re artists but because I look up to them so much.

- I’m lucky my loved ones are alive and safe. I thought of this bc my brother was hospitalized. It’s been confusing and painful.

- Besides reaching out to my brother’s loved ones, I’ve been trying to give attention to myself as well. I let things that made me happy slide while managing home and related finances. I’m blessed to have the option as I reach out to people I care about.

- The book I’m reading seemed too long until I compared the word count to that of a book I loved. Now I’m like, that’s all?

- I got really frustrated at some point during the day for whatever small build up of reasons, then a friend called to chat before bed and by the time we hung up it felt like a brand new day.

- Baked some bread with leftover olives and fennel. I proofed it an extra time and it turned out perfect despite some mistakes. The crust could have been chewier but it looked and smelled great.
