Yellow Man #15, Through the Eye of a Needle. 2026

Lately, I've been thinking about the tension between ambition and integrity; wanting success, stability, and recognition while fearing what those desires can turn into in a world increasingly consumed by itself.
Growing up in a Christian environment, I often heard Matthew 19:24: "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." These days I find myself more engaged to my spiritually than being religious, but this verse has a point.
For a long time, I thought this verse was only about money. But the older I get, the more it feels like a question about attachment to ego, validation, excess, and the endless desire for more.
This piece reflects on that inner conflict: at what point does the pursuit of attention, security, or success begin to compromise the values we claim to stand on? How often are we too consumed by our own desires to recognize what truly matters?
