in light of the ikevamp en eos announcement, i would like to note one thing with regards to cybird's financials. i really do not want to sound like a doomsayer, but in the end, cybird is a business, who is owned by another company who expects their subsidiaries to do well
aeria, cybird's parent company, had a net loss of 739 million yen in 2024. note that aeria has multiple business lines, including an IT services segment and an asset management segment (i.e., they don't only do games). their content division includes not just cybird, but other companies like liber entertainment (a3!, 18trip, etc), among others.

cybird's net loss for this same period is 45% of the total (333.6 million yen)

it costs money to pay localizers, maintain apps, and keep servers up, and more importantly, keep the company afloat. they cannot keep bleeding money forever, especially since aeria is a publicly traded company. yes, it sucks, and it's perfectly valid to feel upset. but just keep in mind the context that the decision is being made in.
