I’ve been watching Downton Abbey lately, and I’m only halfway through season 2, but I had an impulse to make this. (Note that most of these dogs were chosen based on appearance and vibe, less so on what the dog’s behavior is actually like.)

There’s so much to explore with helmets in RVB fanfic. Specifically, characters not knowing what the others look like (or only knowing what SOME of them look like.) Consider:

That au where your eyes change color when you meet your soulmate. Wash/Lina/whomever meets the reds and blues for the first time and only realizes their eyes changed when they look in the mirror that night. They have no idea which one is their soulmate

Conversations about what they imagine the others look like. “I’m not sure why, but I see you with freckles.” / “You said something a while ago and I’m like 98% sure you’re latino?”

A fun Mulan-gets-stabbed-and-surprise!-she-has-boobs type scene in which the helmet only comes off after someone is gravely injured, and amidst the panic and rush for medical attention, someone/several someones are gawking

“You’ve seen his face? No fair! I haven’t even seen his face!” / “Am I the only one here who doesn’t know what you look like?”

This one’s more armor related than helmet, but- prosthetic limbs (especially for Simmons, of course.) Scars. Insulin patches. Vitiligo. Things you’d have no reason to notice if you couldn’t see the person.

“You’re bigger than I thought. That’s not a fat joke, you’re just built. I take back the twig jokes.”

“Wait, when did you get that scar? Did you get that because of me?” Angst

And I’m always a sucker for the classic ‘fuck, you’re hot’ trope

No you guys this post helped me find my cat. He was missing for almost a month and I’ve had him for over 12 years. After seeing this I put his favorite blanket he always slept on outside hoping he would smell mine or his scent and he was back the next fucking day asleep on it.

I just got back home from watching the new Pet Semetary and OH MY GOD

I’m so so so over the moon with this movie. It far exceeded my expectations. I have waited YEARS for this moment and I was not let down.

My biggest issues were that Church 2.0 is a tabby cat(and incredibly cute, might I add) but Church OG was just solid grey.

Also, the ending was….very sad. I understand why they did it, but it was still sad.

I’m so hyped up about how amazing this movie was, though! The casting was excellent, Jud was exactly how I imagined he would be from the book, and the acting was also great. I’m so happy about this omg

If anyone could tell me what plant this is, I’d really appreciate it. It’s my grandmother’s, and she knows just about everything about houseplants, but she can’t name this one. Her close friend gave it to her but has since passed, so it would mean a lot if she knew what it was.

I think she said she remembers it growing red flowers?

Looks like an Episcia plant to me, probably of the Flame Violet variety or whatever if the flowers were red.

Okay, as someone who loves seeing art online (but doesn’t produce it)

When you put out a piece of art, don’t just put your cool signature thing. Like yeah, do that, but also.. that isn’t going to help me find your tumblr page or wherever you post your stuff. I want to support you guys, I really do, but one or two letters in cursive isn’t enough!

I’ve learned through mentioning trans friends to my parents/grandparents/other friends that a lot of people don’t understand the term ‘trans man’ or ‘trans woman.’ They don’t understand whether the person was born female and transitioned to male, or vise-versa; they don’t have bad intentions, they just don’t get it. A good, basic way I’ve found to explain it is:

A trans man is someone who was born female but identifies as male. If you know know Billy identifies as male, you’d only call them female if you’re an asshole, right? Out of respect for Billy, you’d call him male- thus, you would call him a ‘trans man.’

Alternatively:

A trans man is someone who transitioned to male.
