Oh man threads and replies coming later tomorrow
I hit a follower milestone today! Lets party!
I was so unsure what to expect when undertaking this blog, but the responses Iâve been getting from people have been great! Honestly, the muse for Darren took me completely by surprise; heâs not my usual type of character, but so far everything has been just peaches.
Now Iâm gunna pay my respects to a people I thread with and other followers I admire:
ANT-SQUAD:
buzzofjanet- great Janet that is really faithful and sincere. Also a beast at formatting like wow. Super awesome experience plotting with you, mun!
waspisims- I literally only started interacting with you today but your reply to my open starter flamed Darren so hard and was so on-point I was like âholy shit thatâs awesomeâ. Look forward to continuing our thread!
thatishowyoupunch- our thread doesnât have many notes but itâs definitely shaping up to be a good one. Your Hope is on-point.
tosavescottlang- This thread is just pure sass and no plot and glorious.
daughterofwasps- ah! I love your blog so much! Your stream-of-consciousness style on our thread is just really fantastic and youâre so adept at writing Hopeâs thoughts. Canât wait for the plot to advance and I will soon reply.
antasticsteed- Oh your writing is just great! very easy to read. A-class roleplayer all-around.
OTHERS SQUAD:
chopperpirate- I was a little unsure if this thread would work out since our character are from such wildly different fandoms, but Iâm glad we did it because this thread is honestly so much fun and mun seems really chill when it comes to like rules and restrictions and stuff and I respect that.
nxmberciity- you have been so kind and super supportive! Your writing is really compelling--you have your characterâs speech and mannerisms down, i feel like Iâm starting to really get to know them.
thepaladinofgothamcity- awesome and well thought out character. itâs cool to write with a character from Gotham, heâs just like âyeah it sucks but it dosenât suckâ I think i owe you a reply btw...
I know Iâm forgetting so many people!!! Forgive me! itâs not personal!!

New On The Job || Closed
xperhapsonedayx:
The woman paced up and down every 7 steps, quietly thinking over in her head the answers she would give to the possible interview questions that would be asked. She really needed this job. Even though she would only be a secretary, she didnât exactly have a lot of money at the moment.
She was on the Avengers team though. Was she supposed to put that on a resume? It didnât exactly help her get a job in any way possible. Only people would recognize her, but she didnât think many employers would enjoy having a mutant in the work-place. Perhaps she could keep it hidden if her future boss had no idea who or what she was.Â
She manifested herself a bottle of water and sat down, taking a sip of it to calm her nerves.
Darren didnât have to interview applicants himself. He had people to do that. He had Hope to do that. But sometimes it was good to make a show of things. Besides, he needed someone he could trust.Â
Truthfully, he was a nervous brainy type behind a powerful front. He compulsively straightened his tie all the way to the waiting room to pick up his interviewee. When he came into her view, however, his hand dropped to his side and he felt completely within his element--cool, alpha-male, important.Â
âMiss Mysterie? It was important that I meet you myself.â

âSo Ant-Man can break in here and you put him on the team, but I just ring the doorbell and youâre try to knock me out? Thatâs very unfair.â
buzzofjanet:
đ â Hallucination
Meeting Janet had thrown Darren out of his rage and into a weird sort of unreal reality. This was Hankâs wife; Hopeâs mom. He couldnât fathom it. It was like meeting an apparition. Her voice disturbed him. Didnât she grasp the gravity of the situation? Finally he spoke when he realized she had asked a question:Â
âUhâŠIâm Darren Cross. Iâm HankâsâI was Hankâs protĂ©gĂ©.â Â
đ ââ Janetâs face turned amusement to confusion as he spoke again. This felt too real to be her imagination.
            âUm, alright.â
She paused for a good while thinking of what made sense right now; nothing was the answer. The brunette narrowed her eyes at the man in response.
âI donât know if youâre real or not right now but humor me; where are we?â
âWait? Youâre telling me you donât know where we are?â he growled, skeptically.
Sheâd been here how long? Darren was sure she knew more about this place then him.Â
He threw his hands up at her, at the whole situation. âThis is ridiculous.â
open starter
waspisims:
â My input? I say you destroy it before you take something you have no idea about, and turn it into another toy, Darren. My husband never gave you the formula for a reason, and it was because you were too eager and he saw his faults in you. I see them too.â
He only shrugged and smiled pleasantly. âThatâs all Ancient History, Janet. Hank never gave me the formula because he couldnât bear to see someone improve it. So I made my own and now Iâll share it with the world. I canât see the harm in that.âÂ
buzzofjanet:
Janet scowled at the yelling man; obviously not Hank. But that suit, she puzzled; why it seemed so inspired by one of the suits she and her partner had was unbeknownst to her. The manâs voice traveled through the void, reaching the ears that havenât heard anything but her own voice for an undetermined amount of time.Â
Hearing her name put her in a state of surrealism, as if this realm wasnât odd enough. It took her a second to register a response. To her hallucination. Yes, she was going with that.Â
âYesâŠâ she said. The heroine cocked her head. âAnd you are?â she said in a curious amused voice. I hung around too many bugs she mused inside.Â

âYou know, starting off with threats isnât the best route to take when looking for business.â
âMaybe not. But Iâm the customer here. That means Iâm always right, doesnât it?â

Darren shrugged. âI would rather have chronic crime than the Avengers. Letâs face it: crimeâs a relative term. Not so black and white as that super squad decides it is.âÂ
â⊠You realize without the Avengers, we would either be slaves or utterly destroyed, correct?â He said.
âSo we trade one dictator for another. Whatâs the point?â
thatishowyoupunch:
âAre you going to go talk to her?â Hope asked. Maybe if he did, maybe if he had something else to focus on, heâd stop obsessing over recreating the Pym Particle. Maybe heâd leave her fatherâs work alone.
âIÂ donât know, do you think I should?â Heâd been keeping tabs on Mira and the rest of his family ever since apprenticing at Pym Technologies. But they seemed like a distant part of his life. And compared to where he was now, not important. Still, he wanted Hope to know this about him.
thepaladinofgothamcity:
âEh. Every city has sewers.â He said. âI meant underbelly in the figurative sense.â He said. âI meant it looks fairly nice, itâd be better without all the crime, wanton destruction and murder.â
Darren shrugged. âI would rather have chronic crime than the Avengers. Letâs face it: crimeâs a relative term. Not so black and white as that super squad decides it is.âÂ

âSo...Iâve heard youâre one of the best weapons guys working underground. For your sake? It better be true.â
thatishowyoupunch:
âNo, itâs just me. Mom and Hank were a little busy.â
â ...Right...but did you know, that I have a little sister? I haven't seen her since she was a baby but apparently, sheâs still alive. How wild is that? â

Jean laughs, better superhero names, it was almost obvious that this guy probably wasnât a superhero. Humming he fished in his pocket for his pack of smokes.    âWell I guess that would be a pretty good title for me. However, no I am not. You can call me Masters, Iâm the person making vacancies in the ranks of some of the bosses around here. Also lifting information and blueprints from important people is another specialty,â He gives Yellowjacket a smile.
â Uh. â he was taken aback at Masters' smile and what seemed to Cross a brazen threat. He felt out of place in this city. Not enough experience under his belt, only a huge reserve of confidence and poor judgement. Speaking of which, he raised his eyebrows and smiled back like he had this guy's card.
â So you're just another thief. I really don't have the best history with thieves. â
