please tell me why the MC, Wooree, is generally smart but is so dumb when it comes to romance and vampires 🧛

I take that back both the MC and ML are kind of stupid but it's endearing 💀

there is no serious drama but there are several misunderstandings which admittedly made my brain explode a little but the comedy helped to endure the pain of second-hand embarrassment 😭

because of the misunderstandings, it takes the couple a long time to confess and get together- but it was worth it in the end ❣️

the second couple is also adorable and I really enjoyed their love story arc as well

shout out to the ML's parents for low-key being my favourite characters (especially the dad)

ML is so in love, he fell first and continuously fell harder 🥹

the art and comedy chibi scenes are really cute

a very easy and light-hearted read with no mature scenes, lots of chaotically endearing bl romance ❣️

Conclusion: Overall, this was a really easy read that I binged in a day. Although there were many misunderstandings- which is not everyone's cup of tea- they were all very funny situations that were a little cringy yet still enjoyable. I would totally recommend this manhwa especially for newer bl readers who want a laugh or readers who need to need to mentally heal from toxic bl stories ahaha…

He is so invested in the novel that he offers to cook and clean for Ji Ho so that he can concentrate on finishing writing the story. Ji Ho initially refuses that odd proposition, but the more he thinks about it, the less he has to lose...

a heartwarming, feel-good, no-drama love story that will give you diabetes 🥹

it's literally just two precious idiots in love and learning to grow

the pacing is a little slow at times- especially towards the beginning and middle but it was not too bothersome

the MC is so cute and ML is ironically a cry baby yet often gets mistaken as an angry bad boy 🫶

all of the characters are smart and not overtly dense leading to good communication and issues that are quickly resolved ❣️

art style and chibis are adorable and consistent through the story

avoids stereotypical cliché BL tropes 💑

the side couples also have really entertaining relationships

I really enjoyed how the author portrayed their relationship and the ups and downs of navigating love 💕

a great beginner BL manhwa as the romance is pretty vanilla, filled with comedy, and there aren't any mature scenes or toxicity ❣️

Conclusion: I just finished binging this story and I really loved it. I think that this would be a GREAT first BL manhwa for anyone interested in the genre as it is simply full of fluff. The story is a little slower than what I'm used to, but it was a nice breath of wholesomeness that left me with butterflies. I also thought that the way the author touched on the difficulties of coming out, navigating new relationships, and misunderstandings was well portrayed.

My Thoughts:

9/10

There is a slight age gap (around 5 years), but it didn’t feel weird and I think that both the FL and ML navigate it well with good communication

I also enjoyed the pacing of the plot as the romance and reciprocation of feelings did not seem rushed or unnatural

The FL is refreshing as she isn’t annoying or OOC of typical girls her age; she bumbles, is bubbly and independent, and you can’t help but want to root for her ❣️❣️

Ririka is also a gyaru and I really love many of the outfits that the artist drew her in that match her bubbly person

(aloof x sunshine, my favourite) Ririka is just the cutest ball of sunshine while Hinocchi is quiet, attentive, and sometimes kind of absent-minded 

pspspsps their height difference pspspsps ❣️❣️

Shout out to Ririka’s father who is... NOT an asshole and actually tries to father her the best to his ability 🎉🎉

I adore Hinocchi for being a respectful man who is patient and despite his own feelings, always does what’s best for Ririka 🥺

Hinocchi is so handsome where can I get one pls

On the topic of art, the characters and their expressions are so good and uniquely written

The epilogue was so cute and made my heart uwu 🌺

Conclusion: This is definitely one of my favourite shojo manga that I’ve read so far. I was a bit weary of the age gap, but I think the FL and ML handle it really well and they really are just a sweet pair. What makes this shojo worth reading is that the FL is really well written. She is mature but still naive in some departments which humanizes her character. Furthermore, despite chasing after her new crush, Ririka also has her own circle and aspirations aside from the ML. All in all, I really really liked this manga and if you are in a goofy mood for some fluffy romance, ‘My Darling Next Door’ is a MUST read 💕

At a first glance, it looks a Cinderella-type story (sort of but not really)

I appreciate how Miyo isn’t your average useless MC and how resilient and realistic her character is written

Story is set in the Meiji era (love me a historical setting), with some supernatural elements added to the story ⛩

I really enjoyed reading how the relationship between Miyo and Kiyoka developed and how their characters grow while navigating their new lives together

The relationship is a slowww burnnn and has a cold, quiet man x shy, insecure female troupe ❣️

the plot does have a good amount of cliches and troupes (but I’m a person who likes them :P ) 

MC’s family is trash and it was rewarding to see Miyo’s development as a person who can have more confidence ❤️‍🩹

I will literally fight MC’s sister  🤜🏼 🤛🏼

Art for the manga and novel cover is very nice and the ML and MC are both very pretty ✨

Conclusion: I want to note that in this post I am mainly referring to the novel. Overall, I think the novel is still better than the manga, but I do want to say that the manga follows the source light novel pretty well. Despite the story being relatively short, it is nonetheless a sweet read. The author knows how to stir emotions in the reader’s heart and I will admit I cried a little at some parts. I loved the portrayal of characters, specifically Miyo as I felt that her character development and her relationship with Kiyoka were realistically and well written. This novel was just really fulfilling and wholesome to read, especially reading how much Miyo had to go through. A really great hurt-to-comfort type story you should definitely try. ❣️❣️

A very fluffy friends to lovers romcom that will leave warm fuzzies in your heart 🥺🥺

This was so wholesome?? it stole all my uwus???

The drawing style is very close to chibi characters, and I think it is so adorable ❣️

Ryan as that one mom friend is hilarious to watch whenever he worries over Emma like a naggy mother - everyone needs their own personal “Ryan” 

I enjoyed the other side characters and thought everyone’s interactions with each other were interesting and well written

Johan can step on me pls  👉🏻👈🏻

Emma is kind of an airhead but she is so endearing and quickly grows on you because she is a literal pure cinnamon roll

There is not too much tension or conflict between the characters and maybe is a little cliché at times ❣️

Perfect for mending my broken, fragile heart

Plot is a little on the slower side, but I personally don’t mind it as it there is more character development and does not drag out unnecessary drama 

Conclusion:

In summary, this manhwa is simply cute. If you are looking for a light, fluffy romance with a side of supernatural comedy then this is definitely for you! There is not much tension or rollercoaster of emotions and instead leaves you with a smile on your face and feeling pretty content. I would highly recommend this cute manhwa, so make sure to check out Super Secret on the Webtoon app!

One of the funniest and more adorable manga that I’ve read in a while

Great comedic timing, dramatic irony and hilarious plot lines that makes the story even more enjoyable and whimsical ❣️

Anya is the definition of chaotic good I love her so much

Besides the central plot of Loid completing his mission, the real star of the manga is Anya, the telepath. Anya has her own storyline that takes place at her school as she tries to navigate school and new friends  👏🏻👏🏻

The family dynamics written so well and its been so interesting to see how three strangers pretend to be a family together

I also loved seeing how characters’ relationships grow not only amongst the family, but also with other side characters ❣️

Shout out to Yor for being the fiercest mama bear and for trying really hard to be a good mother even if she struggles with it a lot

Top tier hilariously drawn facial expressions 

Someone also please give Loid a break so he can take a long nap.. poor man never stops working and keeps having years of his life shaved off by worrying over his chaotic daughter 🤡🤡

The Forger’s family moments give me such warm fuzzies as even though they start off as strangers, they all come to deeply care for each other in their own ways 🥰

Conclusion:

Spy x Family is a super fun, lighthearted and cute read. The manga never disappoints when it comes to comedic timing and hilariously drawn facial expressions. I personally own all the volumes that are currently out in English and have reread them all multiple times, never getting bored of them. I am so excited to see how the rest of the series plays out and how each characters’ relationships with each other will develop (especially Yor/ Loid and Anya/Damian). Please support the author by buying the books (if you can) on Amazon or by reading the series on VIZ, the official site. Also look out for a potential anime adaptation of this series in 2022, I know I’ll be one of the first to watch it! :)

I LOVE the protagonist, Lippie. She is so smart and does not tolerate anyone’s bullshit

male lead also does not play around

we love a power couple who serves lots of instant karma like the badasses they are ❣️

the story’s main mystery is extremely interesting to follow and I can’t wait to see how it unravels

our characters stay as little children for at least 100+ chapters which you either love or hate  

the story progression IS SLOW- i personally don’t mind as much but i am getting a bit antsy for some spicy detective work 🕵🏻

also is a little off putting when baby lippie speaks in full sentences because she keeps forgetting she’s a toddler

everyone is so pretty/ handsome?? the art is STUNNING- I will personally take brother hal if Lippie doesn’t ❣️

side characters get come quality character development and a lot of screen time which was very refreshing

lippie’s family is one of my favorite parts of the manhwa because they are so pure and over protective of their baby girl 😇

Conclusion:

Overall I really enjoy reading Lady Baby. I adore how witty Lippie is and love the karma that biotches get in return. Like I mentioned before, a major downside is that the story progresses painfully slow, but this is because there is a lot of character development for side characters which is unique in this manhwa. I still definitely recommend giving this a read as the art is gorgeous and it is a very solid manhwa!

a classic apocalypse story but with an original concept/ twist

characters are very human, they are trashy and selfish, yet learn to overcome and go through some quality character development ❣️

the suspense kept me coming back every week to read the next chapter

the art is done so well! the monsters are grotesque and the fear in each characters’ eyes also sends chills down my spine 💀 

be warned that it is kind of gory ⚠️⚠️

PROTEIN bastard still haunts my dreams to this day 💪🏽

art palette is dark and muted (similar to ‘Bastard’) which I really liked as it added to the eerie feel of the story 

delves into the subject of “desire” and how it manifests in different people ❣️

Conclusion:

I will admit, I spent a little money to read the ending earlier because I love this manhwa so much. Sweet Home, like it’s cousin work Bastard, was one hell of an emotional roller coaster. I adored that fact that no one was too “mary sue” like. The characters were complex and had merits as well as faults. I also just loved the whole topic of ‘what does one truly desire’ that is also explored in the story so I HIGHLY recommend giving this a read on the Webtoon app!

the art is so GORGEOUS

female lead is so charismatic and badass we stan 🙌🏻🙌🏻

despite being extremely cunning and strong, the female lead is still human and still makes mistakes

all of the characters are very realistic and written so well ❤️

there are moments when you love characters and moments when you despise them, just like real people

the plot is very engaging and the story line is unpredictable

although it is tagged as a romance, this story is more action focused

romance is  s l o w ❤️

I also really appreciated the attention to detail regarding the historical details and chinese culture

Conclusion:

Despite the fact that this manhua is probably discontinued, I still say that it is definitely still worth a read. The thought of being left on a cliffhanger is not ideal, but you will certainly miss out on an masterpiece story with gorgeous art! Plus, it’s also fun to use a little imagination to imagine the remaining bits of the story!

a whole rollercoaster of emotions while reading this webtoon❣️❣️

the contrast between the triller and romance themes keeps you engaged with the story at all times

action happens the moment the story starts- the plot sets off immediately and there’s never any meaningly scenes that don’t enhance the plot of the story ❣️

the artist is so good at drawing the creepiest faces

maybe don’t read this in the dark… 😱

it’s not typical “horror” scary with too much gore, but more psychological and suspenseful type horror 

Jin’s character development and the psychological walls that he has to break is so beautifully done ❣️

the colours are mostly really muted which sets an eerie vibe and brings out the expressions of the characters

i love the suspense of the plot which keeps readers on their toes! 🤗

if you’re scared of reading it, don’t be! I’m a chicken but still really enjoyed it!

Conclusion:

This was a great read from start to finish! I remember reading this while it was still “on-going” and I was always dying of suspense since I had to wait for new chapters to be released. I love the tension between Jin and his father and Jin’s character development throughout the story. Definitely check this out on the Webtoon app to support the original author and artist :)

a hidden 💎  in the sea of romance manga

the story and two protagonists are very well written!

Tamahiko and Yuzuki are literally the sweetest and most endearing duo ever 💕

they are a little awkward and sometimes a little clumsy but that’s all a part of going through life

set in the Taishou era of Japan which is very interesting since it is also very near the times of WWI and WWII

my poor heart can’t take this anymore

The characters are very well written, the plot keeps you wanting more, and the relationship between Tamahiko and Yuzuki is so precious. This is a simple, fluffy, pure romance that is a MUST READ if you like romantic stories ❤️

every person, background, and each outfit are so detailed and unique- my eyes are spoiled ❤️

besides the basic plot of avoiding impending doom, there are many other big sub plots with very SPICY backstories and secrets

the awkward father/ daughter relationship is endearing and their interactions are very entertaining

around 20ish chapters of baby athy (she’s so cute omg)

all of the dialogue- especially athy’s inner monologue is hilarious 

every male character looking fine as hell

pls be my daddy(s) ❤️

there is an intense battle within the fandom about who our girl Athy should end up with 

the “villains” be looking fine so I can’t be mad at them 👉👈 

ugh i cannot stop talking about the art and all of athy’s pretty dresses- if not for the plot, at least read this for the art

Conclusion:

My Thoughts:

8.5/10

a very sweet romance with cute art! 

Elise is a little mary-sue-ish but she cute so she gets a pass

even though she is frail, she is not a cry baby and is super dedicated towards her work 

we stan a couple who are considerate of each other’s feelings 

i like how the story also continues even after the FL and ML confess and they get together ❤️

if you are nit picky, there are some medical inconsistencies and it’s not 100% realistic, but it didn’t necessarily bother me

even after the initial plot hurdle of the FL and ML getting together, there is an even bigger problem boiling within the royal family

AND THE PLOT THICKENS

the way this manhwa always sets you up by giving you sweet fluffy scenes, then choke slams you back into reality when the plot gets suspenseful again ❤️❤️

we also stan wearing masks during a pandemic stay safe! 😷

Conclusion:

Besides some nit picks here and there about being a little unrealistic, Doctor Elise/ Queen with a Scalpel is such a wholesome read. I think Elise is a wonderful role model as she is a nice balance of delicateness and strength. I also love the relationship between Elise and the ML because they are very considerate towards each other and are not toxic! If you’re looking for a sweet romance story, do give Doctor Elise a read!

Synopsis:

My Thoughts:

Yankumi is badass and I’m all here for a strong female-driven manga 🔥 

she’s so cool and mature 

also kind of an oblivious hot-headed idiot sometimes 💕

Yankuimi’s double life as a yakuza member and a teacher is very interesting

chapters are mostly episodic and there wasn’t really a central plot 

there also several filler chapters, but I didn’t mind it as they were still fun to read

the art is not your typical “pretty” shojou/josei art which I actually came to really appreciate

love triangle not the strongest but the manga is not focused on romance which was refreshing ❤️

If you’ve ever watched the anime/ drama, the manga is 100x better and delves even more into the characters’ relationships

this is a manga about the yakuza, so it is a little violent and there are vulgar jokes but never anything too overboard

i thought it was the right about of funny

Conclusion:

Although it was long, Gokusen was an extremely fun, refreshing, great for laughs read! Some may say otherwise, but I loved the ‘not everyone’s pretty’ early 2000s art style and the minimal part the romance played throughout the series. Another thing to add was that I was very satisfied with the ending! Overall, Gokusen is one of my favourite mangas I would highly recommend giving this series a try :)

9000/10 <– yes i know, another 9000/10 but hear me out…

I really love how both the FL and ML are actually smart and badass which was so refreshing

i’m never bored with the plot and i think the pacing of the storyline is just right!

Even though she encounters many biatches, our Raeliana knows how to handles them with sass and class 💖 

Pls be gone beabitch ❤️

I really liked how the story also delved a little into the actual Raeliana’s family and how isekaied raeliana interacts with “her family”

There is also a mystery element to the plot as Raeliana tries to figure out how she died in her past life and how it may be connected to how she got into this whole situation in the first place

Also he fact that Noah would literally do anything for Raeliana- I honestly bet he’d even overthrow the whole government for her 👁👄👁

noah always acts like an innocent baby but he’s such a tease 

the “low quality” panels are also extremely hilarious

lastly, sir adam is THE best boi no questions asked

Conclusion:

I HIGHLY recommend this manhwa because I adore the two main protagonists and their interactions. Not only are they smart and sassy, but they take initiative when a situation arises. Also, I always love a good mystery and rom-com and this was the perfect mix!

the art for the manhwa is too cute- even the “low quality” pics are adorable!

before anyone comments on how weird it is for Yeni to call the emperor “father”, in korean, she’s not referring to him as “her father” but addressing him as the title for what he was in the novel (like how you could call your teacher, “Ms. teacher”)

the story line is very interesting and I love how bold and pure the FL is

Yeni is a precious cinnamon bun and if you’re not a yeni stan what are you doing?

she may come off as bit of an airhead- but she’s just a little aloof yet actually very smart and observant

I love how the emperor, Erudian, never denies that Yeni is cute, and although he acts like a cool cucumber, he loves teasing her

he also is never an asshole like other emperor type MLs and actually respects and genuinely cares for Yeni

just Yeni uwu 💖✨🌈🌸 ✨ 💖

Conclusion:

What more can I say? Amazing plot, beautiful art, the most precious FL to have graced this planet. Read it right now. I’m serious. Go! Shoo shoo! Read ‘Seduce the Villain’s Father’ or  p e r i s h.
