Adam’s favorite way to cuddle is with his face in your neck/shoulder/chest. He’s a big baby. He loves it when you wrap your arms around his shoulders and pull him into your chest, even if he has to stoop down way low in order to do so. If you’re laying down he likes to lay on top of you with his head on your chest. He’s heavy but you tolerate it because he’s so pretty and you like to run your fingers through his hair. He likes it too and he’ll often fall asleep laying on you like that and you eventually have to wiggle out from under him.
Sometimes he tolerates both of you being on your side. He’s not huge into spooning but he’ll be the big spoon simply because he is so large. Adam had been attached to you ever since you treated him with kindness and wrapped a blanket around him after defeating the High Evolutionary. After losing his mother, he wasn’t sure of his purpose, and he followed you around like a lost puppy. You didn’t mind, as it was rather helpful to have his muscle while cleaning up Knowhere and making it hospitable for its new residents. You were starting to get attached to him too, although he was new to everything, resulting in him making many mistakes, you could tell that there was a lot of potential for good in him.
He got attached to the other Guardians as he worked with them too, however he soon noticed that his feelings towards you were different from the others in a way he wasn’t sure how to explain. He just knew that he wanted to be with you all the time, wanted to learn about you, wanted to impress you and make you happy. Whenever you smiled or laughed it felt like his heart could jump out of his chest. But whenever you interacted too closely with someone other than him, it made him angry. Really angry.
When Mantis hugged you? Anger. When Nebula was unexpectedly kind or gentle to you? Anger. When you laughed at a joke with Drax? Anger. Adam even felt angry when you helped Rocket take care of the little baby raccoons. Watching you bottle-feed and cradle the little babies in your arms also gave him other weird emotions he couldn’t explain but that’s for another time.
To an extent, he knew the anger was because in a lower, baser part of his brain he selfishly wanted you all to himself. You had taught him a lot, both directly and indirectly, and he knew that this anger was inappropriate based on your responses to his defensiveness of you. If he tried to get in between you and one of your friends, you would get annoyed with him, which he hated almost as much as someone else touching you. He understood that people needed each other rather than two people being isolated together, based on what he’d observed with the Guardians and Knowhere, but he still struggled watching you interact with others.
Because Adam had made his jealousy obvious, you were aware of it and made a plan of action to alleviate it. You needed something special to do with him, something you only did with him so that he didn’t feel left out when you did stuff with the other Guardians. You had noticed that he was particularly fond of gentle touch, and honestly so were you, and it was hard to come by with friends as emotionally stunted as the Guardians. When you first met and you had put the blanket around him and brushed the hair from his face, he leaned into your hand and looked at you with big puppy dog eyes.
So you talked to him about things you could do together that you wouldn’t do with anyone else, like holding hands. You realized when you made the suggestion that it sounded like something a couple would do, but you were certain Adam wasn’t ready for that kind of commitment yet, even if he did have feelings for you. Either way, he was eager to accept your offer if it showed everyone that you were special to him. When you walked around Knowhere with your hand in his, he would be beaming. He was a large man, and your hand was tiny in his. It made him feel like he was protecting you when he held your hand, and made it nearly impossible for him to succumb to that strange anger.

I’ve kind of already talked about this already, but DK gets jealous easily. I think it’s just part of Kong biology. You’re his mate and it’s his job to protect you from everything and everyone.
Even though he’s the prince of Kongs and therefore the strongest, he still feels threatened by other Kongs, but specifically other larger Kongs like himself. That’s mostly because he thinks if you found him attractive, you might find another Kong like him attractive. Additionally, he thinks that if he finds you attractive, other gorilla Kongs will find you attractive. He doesn’t doubt that you love him, but he can’t help feeling like someone else might snatch you away from him if he’s not careful.
The only other gorilla Kong you talk to on a regular basis is Funky. He’s a cool guy and you both are good friends with him, but DK can’t help but be a little territorial when you’re around him. He gets a little worried if you’re around Funky Kong by yourself. If you’re talking to him, DK will often come up beside you and pull you into him. He wants everyone to be aware that you’re his.
Sometimes he just decides that you’re done talking to Funky and he picks you up and carries you away. You get mildly annoyed by that because you are an independent person capable of deciding who you want to talk to, but at the same time you recognize that it’s a natural part of DK’s biology.
You have a few discussions with DK about appropriate boundaries, such as him being too controlling about who you can be around, and for the most part he can respect them. He is mindful that while you are his mate that you’re also your own person, and he needs to respect that if he wants to continue being your partner.
I checked out your mario proposal and I wanted to ask for the wedding head canons and how his family and brother would rect to it only if you want to
Luigi is happy so long as his brother is happy. He’s also your friend so he knows and trusts you and thinks that you and Mario complete each other, so he’s really happy about the wedding. He’s obviously Mario’s best man.
Mario’s family will be happy about the wedding so long as they know you. They might have some questions if you’re not Italian, but so long as Mario is happy, they’ll be happy as well. They just might give you a bit of a hard time, just like they do him, with the exception of his mom. His mom loves you and cares for you like you’re her own.
You don’t necessarily want a large wedding but given the size of Mario’s family, you do end up with a massive one. You just give in and let it happen because you want to make his family happy, plus his mom helps the two of you plan everything and it takes a load off of you. There’s some things you won’t compromise on, but everything else goes smoothly.
Your best man is Donkey Kong. Princess Peach gets ordained online and officiates the wedding. Or if you want Peach to be your best man, Cranky Kong gets ordained online and officiates the wedding. Donkey Kong just wants to party.
And there is a lot of partying at the reception. With Mario’s side being loud Italians in addition to your Kong friends…there’s going to be a lot of cleaning up to do later. There is so much food and snacks and wine and other beverages, then lots of loud music and dancing. You might feel bad about causing a ruckus at the venue later, but overall your wedding is great and you couldn’t imagine it being any better.
This is a bit darker, so it’s okay if you don’t want to write this one, but how about Peach with a reader who’s recently escaped an abusive relationship? Peach trying to get them to unlearn the mindset they adopted during the relationship (they’re allowed to have their own opinions, they don’t “deserve” to be hurt, etc.) and feel safe. The reader is slowly healing from what happened to them thanks to Peach.
Peach, meanwhile, is already plotting how she’s gonna murder the reader’s ex with her halberd/axe because how DARE they treat this wonderful person so terribly-
(Optional bonus: The ex does show up, and the only reason he doesn’t end up murdered is because Peach is being physically restrained)

At first Peach and company thought that you were just very shy and/or introverted, but then Peach started noticing that your behavior suggested there was something more complex going on.
For example, you would flinch if someone reached out to you. Even if you had fallen and somebody offered their hand to help you up, you would shrink away and just get up yourself. Mario and Luigi may have found this a little off-putting but Peach noticed the way you seemed fearful.
You would also grow pale if someone hugged you or just got too close to you. When Donkey Kong scooped everyone up into a group hug, Peach noticed that you almost looked sick and were shaking afterwards, and you quickly and quietly slipped off to be by yourself.
Peach gave you time to calm down, but a while afterwards, she sought you out and tried talking to you. The two of you sat on a bench in the castle gardens and the princess kept a respectful distance while you tried to open up. At first you denied being bothered by touch, but when you could tell she wasn’t convinced, you simply told her that you hadn’t been touched very nicely before, and now it was difficult for you to be touched.
Peach didn’t want to push you too far, so she accepted that as an answer and tried to hide her anger. She didn’t want you to think she was mad at you, but rather she was angry at whoever would hurt you.
As you spent more time together, she started to notice that you were easily spooked by loud noises, particularly when someone raised their voice. Being around Donkey Kong was almost unbearable for you because he was frequently quite loud and got into shouting matches with Mario often. Peach and Luigi noticed how you would tense up whenever they fought, leading to them breaking up the fights and getting the two men to calm down. You were reluctant to go to the Kong Kingdom because of that and made excuses to not go when the other three would visit. At some point Peach gave both Mario and Donkey Kong a talking to about fighting so much, and they agreed to try to control themselves better around you.
Peach in general became very protective and defensive of you. She would stand between you and other people, essentially letting you hide behind her whenever you needed, and she would help you find an escape when she could see you were getting overwhelmed. Although you were a little embarrassed that your anxiety was that obvious to her, you were thankful anyway and became closer to her as a result.
The more that the two of you talked, the more Peach realized that the majority of your speech was self-deprecating. She did her best to contradict every negative comment you made about yourself, but you would get really frazzled and didn’t seem to understand. She wasn’t sure how to make you understand except to continue to make genuine compliments to you. The more she did this, the more she started feeling a certain kind of way about you.
You were very reluctant to disclose your past, but the closer you got to Peach, the more you trusted her, naturally. You started telling her tiny things, here and there, about how you were in a relationship but recently broke it off. Later you revealed that you had really run away, and that’s how you ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom. The more that Peach heard about your ex, the angrier she got, and she had a hard time hiding it. She couldn’t believe that there was someone so evil that they could speak down to, hit, and otherwise tear down someone as kind, compassionate, and gentle as you.
If your ex ever managed to find you, they would have hell to pay. Forget Peach being held back, Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, and Toad would join her in beating the shit out of them. After all, by becoming close friends with Peach, you become friends with them. They might not be as close to you as Peach, but they still saw all the wonderful things about you that she did.
You may not be ready for a relationship right away, but Peach was patient and she didn’t care so long as she could stay by your side and be helpful to you on your road to recovery.

OOOOOH THIS ONE IS A LITTLE ANGSTY feat. an appearance by Diddy Kong…(I am a newer Donkey Kong fan so if I don’t get his personality right I’m so sorry.) I don’t specify what DK says so imagine he made a comment about something he knows you’re deeply insecure about or something equally offensive.
Donkey Kong gently called your name with a nervous lilt as you packed some of your clothes in a bag. “Look, I’m really sorry about what I said. I didn’t mean it.”
You ignored him as you moved about his house that you shared with him, collecting other necessities. He didn’t try to touch you; he could feel the anger and sadness radiating off of you and he was afraid to. But he would do his best to stop you without getting physical.
“Come on, you can’t just up and leave me because of one thing I said. I apologized. I’ll apologize a hundred times if I have to!”
“If you didn’t mean it, why did you say it?” You finally addressed him, zipping up your bag, but didn’t look in his direction.
“I-I don’t know. It just slipped out. I’m sorry.”
You slipped past him and headed towards the door. “Sometimes a simple apology isn’t enough. You need to reflect on what you did wrong and mean it when you apologize.”
“Wait!” He reached out and grabbed your arm, as gently as he could in his desperation, but you still refused to look at him. “Please don’t go. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“But you did,” you said coldly, “and I think we need a break.” You yanked your arm out of his grasp and headed out the door and past the guards.
DK could’ve stopped you. He could’ve snatched you up and brought you right back but he knew that was an asshole move and he already felt like a massive asshole.
From then on, if you found yourself in the same area as him, you simply removed yourself from the situation or ignored him. You never started anything, but everyone who spent time around the two of you knew something was up by the tense energy. He never said anything about it either, but he hoped that you would notice how quiet and sad he was without you and forgive him already. Even when he found out you were staying with Funky Kong, he didn’t confront you about it, although the thought pissed him off to no end. DK’s strategy of waiting until you got over it wasn’t working, and finally Diddy Kong asked him about it.
“What is going on between you two???” The smaller Kong asked when he came over to DK’s one day.
“I said something really bad to them,” DK said, flopping despondently in his hammock.
“Like what, specifically?”
DK explained and Diddy blew up at him.
“Why would you say that to them?! You know how they feel about that!!”
“I don’t know, it just popped out!”
“You need to apologize, dude.”
“I did apologize, like, five times!”
“But did you mean it?”
“I think I did?”
“That does not inspire confidence. You need to step up your game and make it up to them.”
So DK, with the help of Diddy, did what you had told him and reflected on what he said and did that was wrong, and then showed up at Funky’s shop to see you with your favorite fruit in hand. When Funky saw him, he smiled knowingly and called for you over his shoulder then went back to work on whatever contraption he was developing. As you came out of the back and spotted DK you were a little apprehensive but optimistic. Maybe he had learned his lesson?
“Hey,” DK said as you approached.
“Hey,” you said back, the first word you had said to him since you left.
“I brought these for you.” He handed you the fruit and you took it, eyeing him suspiciously.
“Thank you.”
“Um…I did what you said. I thought about what I did, and I wanted to say that I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. I knew that comment would bother you and I said it anyway. I was a real asshole. You’re not Mario, I shouldn’t pick on you, especially not when I love you so much.”

If you want something from Luigi, you're going to have to initiate it yourself. He is afraid of initiating most of the time for a variety of reasons; he thinks he's being too needy or too horny, etc. He'd much rather take care of himself than feel like he's bothering you. It takes some convincing to get him to realize that you're completely fine with him asking for sex and that you're happy to take care of him because you love him.
He can be a switch if you want him to. He prefers if you lead because he gets nervous and is unsure what to do, but as he gets to know you intimately he becomes more aware of what you need. And if you need him to take charge, he will.

DK is a big cuddler. Even before you were in a relationship, he was big on cuddling or being physically affectionate with you.
As a human, you are just so small compared to him, he can’t help but feel protective of you. He often has an arm around your shoulders or waist if you’re just hanging around. Sometimes he pulls you into him/kind of under him if he feels somewhat threatened, and that can be his own jealousy if you’re talking to someone who you’ve expressed interest in before you were in a relationship or they’ve expressed interest in you. He’s so much bigger than you that he can stand over you and shield you completely.
Sometimes he ends up acting like a mother gorilla with a baby. If he wants you out of a situation, he just throws you over his shoulder and carries you out of there. You can’t even be mad about it because you love the feeling of the soft fur on his back.
You love napping on him because of his soft fur too. Mostly you love to hold on to his arm, which is practically the size of another human, and you lay your face in his fur. You love rubbing your face on his fur. DK prefers to hold you on his chest or stomach so that he can protect you and feel your weight on him. He’s never been a light sleeper but if he feels your weight leaving him, he wakes up immediately. You don’t need a blanket because when he wraps his arms around you they cover you totally.
DK has to be very careful if he wants to lean on you because he is a several-hundred-pound Kong. He will crush you. So pretty much all you can handle is his head in your lap, which is fine because he’d much rather be the one holding you.

As a followup from your previous Bowser writing (not necessarily a sequel to it, just the same sort of ideas), maybe a reader handling a sick Bowser?
Initially Bowser puts up a fight about being taken care of, because he’s a big, bad guy and he doesn’t need anyone’s help, to the point that he’ll just deny that he’s sick. But honestly? He loves your attention, so he allows himself to be sick and for you to take care of him.
Being that he’s your only responsibility, you have the freedom to take care of him 24/7. The only time you leave is to go to the kitchen and cook him something healthy. It isn’t hard to throw some meat or vegetables and noodles into a pot and make soup, so that’s what you do. You try to feed it to him, but Bowser gets a little embarrassed about it at first and just eats it by himself. Once you find yourself a decently large stool, and he puts his pride aside, you spoon feed the soup to him. He actually rather likes it.
At the beginning of him getting sick, you sleep in the same room as him to make sure he has everything he needs. You sleep in a chair pulled next to the bed, and Bowser notices that it seems to be uncomfortable, as you only sleep for a couple hours at a time and when you wake, you’re always shifting and stretching out your back and neck. You did your best to hide your disappointment when you saw the Kong prince come into the shop with his kart, which you had specially built, completely wrecked. He had driven it once and it was totaled; you’d have to start from scratch after you’d put so much love and care into crafting it. You understood that Donkey Kong could be a reckless driver and got into dangerous situations a lot, being the prince and a defender of the kingdom, but you thought he could at least use the kart a few times before it would be destroyed!
Apparently, you didn’t hide your disappointment well enough because DK was surprisingly and uncharacteristically apologetic.
“I’m really sorry,” he said again, “I know you put a lot of effort into that kart, but can’t you just…build it again?”
“Of course I can build it again!” you snapped. The larger ape flinched away from your sudden anger. “I just put a lot of time optimizing that kart especially for you,” you added in a softer tone. “The right tires to give you optimal acceleration and speed, the right framework to carry your weight and anything you may need, hidden weapons in case you used both your barrel bombs – “
“Hidden weapons?!”
“I guess I hid them too well.”
DK wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you into a hug. You couldn’t help but relax in his embrace. When he pulled away, his expression was soft.
“I’m sorry for not noticing, and I’m sorry for wrecking the kart. I’ll be more careful with the next one, if you’ll please rebuild it for me?”
You rolled up your sleeves and grabbed your toolbox. “I guess this time I’ll just have to make it sturdier.

Mario is rarely ever nervous or anxious but for such a crucial moment? He’s anxious as hell. He believes you love him, and although he can’t think of a reason why you would, he’s still afraid you’ll say no.
To avoid that possibility, he wants to make sure the atmosphere is perfect and private. He doesn’t want you to feel pressured to say yes just because a bunch of people are watching, and he doesn’t want to be rejected with a bunch of people watching either. So he plans a dinner at his home and he asks Luigi to stay somewhere else for the night.
He cooks all the food himself, all Italian classics. He almost makes spaghetti and meatballs but figures that is too cliché, so he opts for a different pasta dish instead. Then he makes tiramisu for dessert. He picks out candles with a scent he knows you love so that you can have a candlelit dinner.
Mario wears his signature red button-down shirt but with slacks and a nice suit jacket. He keeps the ring in his pocket instead of hiding it in the food or putting it in your wine glass. He doesn’t want his proposal to be that surprising. He’s hoping you’ll see it coming and not be caught off guard.
Unfortunately, Mario is almost always this thoughtful about your dates. He often cooks beautiful candlelit dinners for you. So when he asks you to come over and the lights are low, you don’t think anything of it. The only thing that’s strange is his behavior.
He’s acting nervous, so you reach across the table and take his hand. “What’s wrong, Mario?”
“Nothing’s wrong,” he says.
“Why are you so nervous then?”
“Because I have…a really important question to ask you.”
Mario takes a deep breath and stands up, and then you realize what’s coming. He pulls the ring box from his pocket and gets on one knee, presenting the ring to you.
“Will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me?”
He doesn’t even finish the question before a big, goofy grin spreads across your face.
“YES!” You shout. “Yes, of course I will, Mario!”
You jump out of your seat and tackle him, knocking him backwards. He just laughs as you press kisses all over his face.

In almost every idle moment, you are humming or softly singing a Selena song. DK doesn’t speak or understand Spanish, but he loves it when you sing. He gets real quiet so he can listen to you, whether you’re just cleaning up or taking a walk or sitting around. You’ll sing to him as he lays his head on your lap and dozes off.
Also if you aren’t doing anything in particular, you tend to dance around the house. DK also loves to dance so he’ll join you. You teach him some Latin dance techniques and he’s surprisingly good at it, despite his body being so different from a human’s. You are rather shy about dancing outside of the house however, much to his disappointment. But it’s fine because he dances enough in public for the both of you. Sometimes if it isn't too crowded and you don't think anyone is watching, you'll dance with him in public, which makes him love you even more.
If you can get a laptop or your phone to Kong Kingdom, you’ll download Selena’s music videos so that you can show them to DK and he learns about your world too.
You teach him some of the basic Spanish phrases every once in a while, even though he’s a little bit of a slow learner. Once he’s learned a few, he’s good at piecing words together to form his own sentences and flirts with you in Spanish. He’ll call you “querido” and it’s very cute. If you can get internet from your world in the Kong Kingdom, then you might download Duolingo or a similar app for him to practice.
His favorite song is “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” because he thinks it’s an absolute bop, but you think that your song is “Amor Prohibido” because there may or may not have been drama with his father about the two of you being together.

D.K is the kind of boyfriend who literally manhandles the fuck out of you, he finds it funny that he can just pick you up like it’s nothing.

He likes to carry you on his back!!! I’ll die on this hill, he will carry you anyway he can but specifically he loves you wrapping your arms around his shoulders and he loves swinging around with you.
The first time he went swinging with you on his back, he just put you on, told you to hold on, one arm gripping your thigh and he fucking jumped off while you screamed. He laughed his ass off afterwards but that quickly stopped when you threatened to give him no affection.
Cranky took awhile to warm up to you, like one would expect him to, he knows DK and that he is not one to take anything seriously, so imagine his absolute surprise when DK brings you home and the kong looks whipped.
Cranky can’t help but notice how attentive his son is, watching him gently hold your hand, leading you up to him and how he brushes a thumb over your knuckles. It reminds him of himself and Wrinkly long long ago. Before he even knows it, you’re already growing on him, so he doesn’t give you a hard time. He more so teases you while he’s still kind of hard on DK.
DK makes the joke that his dad likes you more than him.
Speaking of family, Diddy LOVES you, he thinks you’re great for his uncle and will often tag along with you guys for double dates with Dixie, whether it’s driving karts or going out to eat.
You and Funky are close!! Whenever DK has to leave for any reason, to handle business or to go see Mario and the gang and you can’t come or want to go, he trusts Funky to watch over you. (He’s extremely overprotective, even if you can defend yourself he’s gonna put strict orders to everyone to keep you well)
Funky treats you like family, he’s the kind of brother in law that fucks with you, he pushes you into the River and walks away, yanks your hair, ties your shoelaces together, bro likes to throw you. You’re his sibling in law now sorry you got an annoying brother rip.
Don’t worry though, your boyfriend fucks with you too, it brings him joy to tease you and fluster you, if you ever whine, he’ll pinch your cheek and laugh his stupid fucking laugh.
DK has a bed put into his hut for your sake, he knows it’ll probably hurt your back to sleep in a hammock all the time so he gets one made by the toads and surprises you with it. He doesn’t mind where y’all sleep as long as you’re together.
